Kroshav more or less starts digging where he is standing, making immediate and somewhat loud progress. Thir and Jaq watch the dragonborn literally dig in, with Thir looking down at Kroshav then up at where they want to go and then down again the up. She says something to Jaq that is lost in the noise, causing Jaq to look over to the where the nests are presumably located. He gets a somewhat pained look on his face before he slides down into the Kroshav size, slanted hole already six feet into mountain and gently twists Kroshav nearly 180 degrees to the right direction.
Climbing back up, Jaq says,
"Well, that will take him about an hour. I guess I will be the bait when he starts getting close and the rest of you will hide in the tunnel?"
Kroshav is quite pleased with his progress, and pauses to push the accumulated debris up and out of the hole, popping up like a very large, golden reptilian mole. He gives everyone a grin before popping back down to keep digging, humming to himself. Some of the dirt is caking the line of drool on his chin.

Cladmir stands ready to help Kroshav move the debris away while everyone else looks on. Jaq gives a shake of his head and starts moving to the edge of the mountains saddle and looking over at various points and Thir tags along with him.
((@Cladmir and @Forever, just hanging out while Kroshav digs and then jumping in after?))
Ernos will keep watch from the entrance while Kroshav digs. He does cast a glance at Jaq, "Are you sure about playing bait? Can you outrun them long enough to escape?"

"They likely cannot fit into the tunnel, and our paladin beginning in the wrong direction may stop them from realising where it is leading, particularly if they are not so smart. See to your safety."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(( The dice roll above looks weird on my end (it just says Dice rolls not yet available for this section., Dice rolls not yet available for this section.) so I'm rolling here too just in case.
Once Kroshav has gone what everyone figures is about the right distance (as walked off by everyone to be sure), Thir takes her position at the start of the tunnel. Rather than trying to yell the fairly considerable distance it is decided that she will use a torch to signal that it is go time.
Kroshav, Cladmir and Ernos wait at the end of the tunnel, Kroshav needing to dig through several more feet once the signal is given.
Waiting in the darkness, Cladmir takes the job of watching for the torch and Ernos of making sure Kroshav digs in the right direction in the dark.
The signal flashes down the tunnel and Kroshav is set digging and in less than 30 seconds the pale light of the winter afternoon appears and the party scramble up and out. Looking around quickly the party see they are still about 50ft short of the nest and a bit off to one side of it. Behind them they see a cloud of nearly a dozen larger flapping figures dive down below the side of the mountain and out of sight, chased by a cacophony of shrieking calls.
Turning back to the matter at hand, the trio rush to what is actually several large (Kroshav could lay down in them with room to spare on all sides), bloody nests in a large shallow cave/recess that provides them cover from the worst of the elements. The first nest the party reaches is empty of eggs, but other animal bits litter its edges and a single (somehow familiar) arrow pokes out of it's side. The following four are equally empty leaving just the last three nearest the back of the recess. Even before the party reach the nests they can see there are no eggs in any of them, but they are filled with more downy feathers.
Slowing to a halt before the nests and realizing plan 'grab the eggs' isn't going to work without eggs, a cooing caw from one of the final nests pulls everyone's attention. More cooing from a second nest and the movement of feathers indicates the nests might not be as unoccupied as initially expected. This is confirmed when a relatively small beaked head pokes up and inspects the party. It caws and three more heads from the nests pop up and four pairs of dark eyes watch the party.
((Okay, so about a minute has gone now and you are not sure how long Jaq will be able to keep the biggun's away.
(( People with logical brain seem to have their brain froze by the cold, while Cladmir working brain is warped by his hero worship of Kroshav. ))
Kroshav wipes at the drool, snapping off a saliva icicle.
He scans the surroundings for a likely spot to start digging calling on Mikram's guidance.
