Cladmir shuts up and follows the paladin -- he must surely found a better place to hide!

Ernos rushes to take cover with the others.

The small party dash to the cracks and try to squeeze in. Ernos and Thir manage relatively easily, mostly due to their not wearing non-bending armor. It's still pretty claustrophobic.

Kroshav, hitting his selected crack at speed, is merely mildly slowed in his attempt by his armor. He also gets to experience the screaching of metal against stone in a tight space. He also noted he isn't going to be able to turn his body, or even his head, in here.

Cladmir, hobbling on his bad knee after all the acrobatics, finds himself not nearly as deep in as he'd like but unable to progress further when he hears a more avian screach and the crunching of ice and stone as something large and heavy crunches down nearby. This is followed by a second and then third. Cladmir's grifflet lets out an ear piercing call of it's own and Cladmir notices that the light from outside gets blocked out.

Ernos can see the griffons on the ground, his grifflet is interested but not yet trying to get away.

Cladmir's grifflet is squirming and he can hear breathing behind him. Very closely behind him.

Kroshav thinks his head may be stuck between a rock and...well probably another rock. 

Kroshav is going to make an attempt to clear out a bit of space with his claws.

Wedged in sideways makes using the claws harder for Kroshav but after some uncomfortable twisting his manages to start clearing some stone. It doesn't go as quick as he was expecting, it seems like the claws don't work as well on ice as they do on stone, which is weird, and there is a lot of ice in here! They still work a bit and after a few seconds he gets through the ice in places to the stone and the claws begin tearing away chucks of the mountain which, in turn, begin to pile around his legs. When the claws start working they start making that grinding sound they normally make and a few seconds later Kroshav notices the light in his little hidey-hole disappear followed by a very loud shriek and scraping noises behind him. Sure would be good to be able to turn his head...

((Clad or Ernos doing anything before I give the griffon's a chance to do something?))

Cladmir does his best to try and comfort the grifflet.

Cladmir's grifflet bites ineffectively on the old man's armor before shrieking again.

When he gets a chance, Kroshav will try to carefully claw next to his face to be able to turn his head.

Hearing Cladmir's grifflet screeching, Ernos grimaces slightly before muttering an incantation as quietly as possible and casting Thaumaturgy, replicating the grifflet's screech, but in the opposite direction from the group.

Griffon intelligence checks on the distraction: 5

The griffons all pause with their scrambling outside the cracks and there is a moment of quiet before there is a gush of wind into the tight spaces followed by slightly more distant screeching.

Kroshav threads the very fine line of making more room for his face and needing less room for a smaller face. He decides clawing a little bit behind where his head is wedged and then stepping slightly back and turning is better than trying to scrape beside his head. He comes to the this realization when he can't fit him arms to do the latter option.

Looking outside, without actually going outside to look, each of the party is able to see a narrow slice. All are able to see brief glimpses of large creatures moving around and occasionally a griffon in flight further out can be seen. Cladmir in particular also finds his light cut off as something big blocks it.

At the moment the griffons seem to be unsure what to do about reaching their grifflets and killing their abductors.

Cladmir is also paralyzed with indecision -- hands full with grifflet and stuck in a tight space he is sure the paladin has a brilliant plan -- although what that plan is he has no idea.

Thir yells,

"You not dead? Thir not dead."

"I'm safe here.  But if we move now they will surely see us immediately."

"Kroshav not dead! Pttttttuh!", Kroshav shouts back, getting a mouthful of slush he spits out.

"So what we do? Kroshav dig out? Need get to dragon, before dragon kill clan."
