Ernos releases a perfect grifflet squawk as the others ready their own descents. On the squawk everyone shimmies down the rope and starts running across the icy, boulder strewn terrain, mostly staying near the walls. Ernos is the last down, but Thir has waited for him so he isn't running on his own.

Cladmir and Kroshav crunch heavily, Kroshav somehow managing to hit a couple of boulders with his armored shoulder as he slides around. The ringing sound is largely swallowed up by the snow drifts behind the boulder but not completely. The rest of the group are much more quiet as they move, and Thir and Ernos manage to catch up to the more heavily armored fighter and paladin.

Kroshav and Ernos catch a sight of a griffon crest the mountain and are able to steer their companions flush with the mountain and under a slight overhang to avoid being spotted. After an hour of this dash and hide process the party feel like they are probably mostly in the clear. Thir asks,

"Jaq? Jaq meet us at dragon or...?"

The grifflet pokes it head up and looks around with mild interest.

The sun is on its way down, with only a few hours of winter daylight left.
