(Kroshav could use Lurn's mace for the chest if he needs a weapon.  Lurn's certainly not using it.)

Kroshav smashes the chest open with a resounding crack, sending wood splinters flying. Brushing away the remains of the of the wood the party finds Jaq and Kroshav's coin purses along with another large purse full of coins (5 pp, 57 gp, 54 sp, 190 cp. There is also a small statuette of a unclothed drow(?) woman embossed with gold, silver and platinum. The little naked drow figurine (5 gp) is freshly missing an arm and a foot, both of which are recovered from the clothes in the chest.

((Okay, where were you going to camp out for 8 hours now? East or west stairs to the Librarian's floor? Or have you decided to you that delightful bed next to the altar in the spider filled room?))

((Guessing Joe isn't going to be good company here, so grab some of the bedding for Clad and retreat to the stairs?))

Jaq will brush off Joe's back and console her a bit, "no worries, no spiders on you." (that is if he awakens with Joe's prodding)

"How about we go to the stairs that lead to the librarian's level, but the stairs that the drow didn't see us use just a bit ago.  They might assume we are going to go back there.  So lets use the other one."   (I assume we used the west just a bit ago?)   Then we head all the way down the stairs and go at least a good 100 feet down the hall/cavern before we set up the hut.  Here Jaq is being a bit paranoid.

(( Cladmir is just gonna go with whatever everyone is doing and lay his head on where ever he is told.  Based on almost all his rolls thus far he doesn't only look bruised, bloodied, and battered, but he probably also looks constantly dazed as well. ))

joe will gladly support anything far away from the spiders.

The tunnels were too narrow for the hut, but without the hut that wouldn't be a problem.

You initially all went down east stairs but most recently came up the west. So your call.))

"Should we take a few minutes to don more suitable armour in case the drow are waiting for us in the hall?"

(Don't suppose Joe knows Mending?  That statuette may be worth more in one piece. XD)

Lurn glances at the broken statuette and figures, based on what people normally want, it would be more valuable in one piece rather than three.

Once everyone has gotten the gear they want from the room they all leave to camp out on the Librarian's level, both Cladmir and Jaq stumbling as they go. At the mud room at the base of the stairs a golem rises from the muck and a flat voice asks,

"Have you sealed the entrance into the library off from the Drow? I have not heard or felt anything."

The golems let the party pass, in what must be another surreal experience for Cladmir. Any thoughts on that quickly leave his mind as they go a distance into the narrow tunnel and he is able to collapse to the floor to rest on his recovered, musty bedroll. It is the softest thing he has ever felt.

A pair of golems block the tunnel going further in, though it isn't clear if they are there to specifically block or are just 'watching'.

((Was someone going to get him bedding? Otherwise is there anything you're doing for the next 8 hours?))

For the first hour, Joe will use a short rest, regaining her 1st and 2nd level spell slot and 10  hp

on the second hour, Joe will ritually cast find familiar.  Ruby forms into a ‘tiny’ reddish brown huntsman spider that is on the border of being small. Joe is immedatly scared and almost firebolts her pet, but  Joe closes her eyes and sends Ruby 100’ away to watch for people on the celing, and flinches when he gallops away. 

third hour and she tries to forget the spider and speaks to Kroshav as privatly as possible, but does not care if people listen in.  “Kroshav yer at tha age ye should already know this, but Ah guess Ah will have ta tell ye.  If Ah see ya lookin in tha distance Ah’m goin‘ ta have ta start this lecture all ov’r again. Ah nev’r been with a dragonborn o a lizardfolk so some of me knowledge may nay apply fer ye.

Now when a woman n a woman, or a man n man, o a man n woman,  o any assorment of people want to have fun…” 

Joe goes into faaar too much detail on the hows and whats. If Kroshav knew too little, he now knows waaay too much.

Rest of the time after tranatizing Kroshav she will use ritual casting comprejend languages to trabslate the writting

((I can't recall if I was down any HD prior to this short rest or not, we got a long rest, but can't recall if I used a bunch of HD the day before or not, to where I'd have less than full now?))

(( Cladmir is normally a light sleeper, but not this time.  Unless someone actively tries to wake him or cause a major disruption he will continue to sleep like the dead -- no doubt also having one of the weirdest dreams in his life to help him cope with the new situation he found himself in. ))

(( He also changed and put on his armor the same time as everyone else and he simply turned around and presented his backside to everyone when doing so.   He is currently sleeping in his armor with his weapons nearby.  Not the most comfortable to be sure but it's not the first time he had to sleep in his gears. ))

((There were the books found in the altar/spider room. Everything else is in elven, which Lurn and Jaq can read.

@Spider, you did burn a lot of HD before your escapes. Not sure how many though... Then you got a couple back after the long rest. I'll check and get back to you.))
