Cladmir did his best to follow the instructions given to him and was rewarded with the sight of the bed. Glorious, was the though that crossed his mind as he couldn't even recall the last time he was able to lay his head on such fine sheet and so alluring was the notion of lying on that bed that he hardly noticed the web, the spiders, the desk, or almost anything else. Gingerly he took a step forward, but that was when he noticed the bloodied altar and reality came back to him of where he was and what had happened to him. As much as he would like to jump straight onto the bed he forced himself to carefully scan the room.
(( First off try to get a general "feeling" of the room a way a paranoid person would )) Perception: 9
(( Next he would try to see if he knows whether spider could be dangerous/poisonous )) Nature: 6
(( Finally it is time to investigate the bed to see if it is safe for use )) Investigation: 6
<I will let Charlie know, but he isn't happy already. Don't die!>
Jaq takes a brave step into the room and Joe scampers behind him until hearing about the spiders, which are visible at a glance. Most are only tiny dots moving around the webbing but a few are coin sized. Joe doesn't see any of that though, she is already back out of the room jogging on jelly legs after Kroshav.
((Are you going to have a light source on your guard duty?))
Cladmir quickly takes Joe's place, eyes only for the luxurious bed before noticing the altar. His eyes quickly scan the rest of the room noticing the apparent innocuous objects, including the too small to be dangerous spiders, but then they land back on that glorious, glorious bed. The bed looks soft. Not too soft, just the right amount of soft. A gentle touch of the bedspread reveals it to be silken to the touch and confirms his softness supposition. This ranks as one of the best beds he has ever seen.
((Jaq, Cladmir or Lurn doing anything else in this room?))
Not noticing anything dangerous Cladmir threw caution into the wind , he's slept in the wild with insects and critter plenty of times and he did just fine without a gorgeously fine bed. Absentmindedly he spoked to no one in particular, "Hey, as you know I really really need to rest. So unless anyone minds I would really love to crash on that bed."
Lurn joins the two in the new room, giving the altar a distasteful look before turning to examine the spiders, "Just be wary that the bed isn't filled with spiders or knives, can never know with these drow."
Spider inspection: 17 (Now, I don't suppose it would be possible to convince you that understanding of venomous creatures could fall under Medicine rather than Nature? If it's Nature, -1 to whatever the roll is, if I can use Medicine then +8)

((Swords 'vision' range is 25'. Kroshav would know that they'd be spotted by any drow looking long before sword picked them up. She can talk significantly further than that to Kroshav but I don't think we have tested the range on that.))
The bed certainly doesn't look like it has knives. Maybe a couple spiders, but what bed doesn't have a few bugs?
Lurn gives the walls and ceiling a look, inspecting the spiders. He doesn't recognize some of them but those he does recognize are harmless.
Kroshav remarks that Sword can't see all that far, but supposes that if they're standing in the hall, they're gonna be spotted whether they have a lantern or not. He pulls back into a doorway.

When Jaq sees the letters written in Elvish, he will prod at the clothes and other items in the chest with his sword from as outstretched an arm as possible...then if nothing happens he will snatch the letters and put them in his bag for later examination. He will then take the chest, if not too heavy and drag it over to Joe out in the other room, so she can inspect it in a free-from-spider room. He will head back into the room and, again with the sword, and being as far from the desk as possible while doing it, use the tip of the sword to try to open the drawers on the desk. (hopefully it has some kind of handles that he can wedge the sword tip into to accomplish this)
When Cladmir mentions sleep, Jaq smiles wryly, knowing how the man feels, but states, "Search the room first, we can't sleep yet."
“C-can she shoot magic beams and i-inc’nate sp-spid’rs?” Joe will coing tightly to his leg, going where he is going. She shivers as a thought creeps in her head “Ah can summon a famili’r ta help tha willnae be attack’d by tha drow but….*shudders* it be a spid’r. If tha new guy goin’ ta sleep anyways…Ah…will try summonin’ it.”
The chest doesn't contain anything else but opening the drawer with a sword turns out to be a little tricky, and definitely damages the wood (and resell value).
One of the drawers contains what looks to be a ledger and a few loose documents. One drawer is filled with...teeth? The last has a few symbols of Lolth in different sizes and made of different materials. A couple look like they might have some value beyond the religious sentiment being made of silver with a smattering of small rubies.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Search the room first, we can't sleep yet."
Cladmir's first impulse after hearing the statement was one of defiant and a strong urge to just throw himself of the bed and see who would stop him, but as quick as the felt those urges he was also quick to override them. Life of a soldier was one full of hardships and this was just another one in the long line of awful circumstances he found himself in. He knew from experience that, second to dumb luck (or blessings from the Gods?), using his head is the best way to stay alive. So despite his near-buckling knees and the pain is his body he understood what Jaq was saying, and simply nodded.
The first thing that caught his eyes but was dismissed was the alter so he will see if there are any clues that he could glean from it. Investigation: 12
Then following Jaq's activities and not knowing any elvish Cladmir will see if he can make any sense of the teeth-ish things. Investigation: 9
(( I'm not sure why there is a warning about manipulated die roll unless the forum knows that I forgot to roll them with disadvantage. XD So I'll do this now. ))
Breaking his eyes away from the magnificent bed Cladmir shifts them to the blood crusted altar a short distance away. It looks to be stone of some type and he notes the places where ropes or chains could be affixed. It is covered in spiders.
Shifting his attention to the drawers he peers at the white and off white small irregular shaped things in one of them. He vaguely wonders why there is a drawer filled with smooth gravel before the bed's siren call pulls his attention back.
((The site seems to really like putting a warning on messages. I guess any sort of changes to the roll force it to reroll entirely, so even if you're just adding disadvantage it doesn't know whether you're making it reroll until you get good results))

When Cladmir comes over and looks into the drawers of the desk with him, Jaq asks, "Do you have room in that bag for a few more things?" If the man opens the bag for him, Jaq will quickly dump the papers/ledgers into it and also the few items made of silver and rubies.
"Thanks." he says simply.
If he doesn't want to carry the loot, Jaq will pile them into his own bag.

Joe will conjure a bullseyelamp as she clings tightly to Kroshav’s leg.
"That might make us easier to spot. Sword can help keep a lookout."
Kroshav will shift Sword to the side that Joe isn't clinging to.
