While Joe frets about which way to cast her spell Kroshav edges up the mouth of the tunnel and asks Sword what she sees and gets back,

<Nothing is close enough, sorry.>

She sounds truly sorry.

(Ooooh okay. Lets do it in the tunnel theb so both are blocked while we run through.)   Joe will cast fog cloud and then steps in it.

Cloud covering both paths, yeah?  Okay, Lurn will move with the others toward the stairs.

Joe casts cloud a bit to the east, allowing the party to get to the stairs while in cover. She moves into the cloud and heads towards the stairs. Sword lets Kroshav know which way she went.

The appearance of the cloud causes another round of shouts but no arrows fly.

((With your movements/head dash action you can all but Jaq make it to stairs. Is Joe going all the way to the stairs this round? Kroshav?

(I am not going all the way to the stairs, I want to stay hidden in the fog cloud for now.)

Kroshav will keep pace with Joe, if that's just his move, he'll hold a swing of Sword at any drow that gets within her reach.

With Sword's help, Kroshav moves behind Joe who pauses right at the edge of the stairs. He readies Sword who pings him,

<There are small and big spiders up the stairs! Umbrella. At least one big and...lots of little. Down the stairs... nothing I can see but I can't see very far.>

Jaq will use his cunning action for movement if he needs to keep up with the rest.

((The others are around 10-15' away from Jaq at this point, also they moved after Jaq's turn so it'd be next round. Just seeing if Lurn has anything before heading back to Jaq.))

Kroshav will keep the info from Sword to himself unless someone is headed towards the spiders. He doesn't need Joe leaping into his arms.

Lurn's just moving along the wall until he finds the stairs or the cloud cover starts thinning.  Wouldn't want to step out into the open.

Everyone crowds over by stairs but none dare take them.

There is more shouting and Jaq and Lurn unders,

"They are in a cloud, probably heading to the stairs."

Nothing else happens that anyone in the party can see.

Sword would let Kroshav know the spiders have shifted around and one large one has entered her vision but none have entered the stairwell.

Kroshav will mention the spider up the stairs.

Jaq will move to the beginning of the stairwell, look down them and see what there is to see, ready an arrow in his bow and then continue down the stairs.  He will shoot at first bad thing he sees.  When he comes to the bend in the stairs, He will quickly peek around the corner before heading further down, but if he sees nothing, he will continue downward. 

If his movement ends, and he does not get mauled by something, he will try to stealth if there is someway to do that in this area.

Jaq moves past those hunkeringin the fog and creeps down the stairs. He sees nothing before the bend, and risking his haircut, pokes his head around to see if anything is waiting below. As luck would have it an arrow doesn't fly from the darkness...

Until he gets to the bottom of the stairs and a pair of arrows come from the darkness, some point past were Jaq, can see straight down the an corridor.

Attack 1: 22 Damage: 3

Attack 2: 16 Damage: 5

Looking around Jaq figures he could hide to side of the stairs or head back up the stairs and around the bend.

((I have Jaq having used 40ft of movement. ))

If he can let out a not so quiet yelp of pain as the arrow hits and before he sleeps, he does so.

Lurn hears the tell-tale sound of Jaq's body flopping to the floor down the stairs and Sword asks Kroshav,

<Why did that one person that went down the stairs lay down? They are laying down on their face now.>

((I truly never expected the knock out poison to play such a big role in these fights. The drow are hitting a lot harder than their 1/4 CR would suggest.))

Joe will hold her action until everyone is headed to the stairs then dashes behind Lurn/kroshav
