With a puzzled look on his face seeing the tattoo come to life Yuron will train his hand crossbow on to the rider before releasing a bolt at the rider. He will then reload and fire a second time in an almost fluid manner.

Nate transforms back into his dwarf form as the claws of the bird shred the spider. Rolling out of the way of the beak just in time Nate stands up. "Ok, a spider was not such a great idea." Changing his speech to Sylvan and giving himself guidance he tries to calm the Vulture and show he meant no harm. "I am sorry for frightening you there. We mean you no harm. We wish to only gain passage to the tower and rid you of the burden of serving these knights." Looking to Yuron he will signal to lower his crossbow.

The vulture does not seem to understand Sylvan, yet the soothing sounds calms it down slightly, although a glint of malice remains within its eyes.

Rey says "Hold them down!" He actually hops off the giant bird, still holding it's rein and pulls it over to a tree in order to tie it up. (If they don't have reins he uses rope.) "If we can hold them for 10 minutes I may be able to speak with them." he growls.
Rey drags the bird over to a tree and ties it up, although the bird snaps at him as he does so. Beak Attack: 19 Damage: 9

Gren manages to maneuver his body in anticipation of the bucking bird with the rusty ease of a bull rider. "Whoa, whoa! O-okay. Getting off now." He says as he slides onto the ground to face the other riders and their vultures. At the risk of getting nipped in the behind for it, Gren starts making his way over to them with his shield presented to them.
"Repent and be Reborn." He commands as the light reflecting off the surface of the shield peels away into motes of fire that seek to meld into the unbound vultures and one of their riders.

Rey nods and, still enraged, marches over to the second bird.
"RIGHT" he says. "GET... YOUR... FEATHERY ASS ... OVER HERE!" he sounds like a pissed off old man, as he tugs at it's bridle over towards another tree near the other one.
Seeing that Rey had things well in hand and no more riders needed to be cursed, Gren doesn't even try to engage the creatures again, having immediately began covering up the place it tore into. "Oww, oww, oww… Still don't like pain. But its okay. It's gonna be okay." He continues to mutter to himself as he dug out what spare cloth he had on hand, and began covering the wound before any saw it.
"Are you alright, Ser Nate?" He asked as he tore off a thin strip of clothing. After coiling it about a hand, he looks between Nate and Rey, nods to himself and then intones, "Like the inevitable dawn, grant usAidand renewal, oh lord of the sun and goodness." Rey, Nate, and Gren soon become enveloped in a faint aura of comforting sunlight. Though it fades quickly, the feeling remains close to the skin, bolstering their resolve. "I-if you give me but a moment. I think I can calm them with Ser Nate's aid. If you're willing?"
"It was just a moment, but they seemed to respond that flighty language you spoke earlier. Not sure if it'll work, but worth a shot?"He turns to the bird not being worked on by their new compatriots, and whispers a quick prayer(Guidance) under-breath. "A-alright. I'm ready." He digs out two days worth of jerky and makes his way over to a vulture ride. All the while hoping that trying to calm them wouldn't be so different than the horses back home.
Animal Handling: (3)24 if at advantage from Nate's help (2)24.
If he can get in close without the bird taking his hand off, he takes off his gloved right hand revealing a charred husk and gently places it on its neck. "It is going to be okay. Just let the light in." He whispers as the unnatural warmth that radiated from him sunk in along with what he hoped was a bit of Lathander's light.
If the bird is tied, Rey will calm himself and go sit by a tree. He'll palm his beartooth necklace and begin to cast speak with animals as a ritual. (Takes 10 minutes so he'll watch Gren in the meantime)
Rey opens his senses to the natural world, broadening his mind to understand the vultures. Immediately, he hears a string of strong expletives from the birds directed at him and the rest of the party.
