"Not to be unexpected. In spite of their crimes, and even my own personal bias, a bond made between beast and man is not so easily undone." Gren admits, halting his advance to consider options. "But, I must preserve. As a follower of Lathander, I can do no less, or even consider otherwise for even a moment." Gren says as he continues to attempt soothing the creatures.

During the soothing of the Vultures while he was helping Gren preach to the birds about Lathander Nate hears the call of his spirit bird as it soars down to his raised hand. Landing deftly it then folds into the dwarf's skin and as the tattoo once again, crawls up the sleeve of his leather tunic.
"How long are we going to keep at this? Maybe we can put blinders on them to be able to guide them where we want them to go like we used to do to the horses back home."

"I thought you'd be familiar with the pecking order of things..." *ba doom, ching* "If you value your life, you'll cooperate and fly us to your roost at the top of the spire." Rey holds his sharpened axe up to the bird. Intim: 13
"I-I'm not s-sure if I'm comfortable with that idea, Ser Nate."Gren admits. Realizing after that his efforts to calm the birds would continue to be rebuffed, he puts back on the glove. He jumps soon after seeing Rey readiy his axe. But he was no fool as to try and get in the middle of the cat man's weapon. "U-uhm... you get all that, Ser Nate? You can talk to birds too, right?" He asks of the dwarf than glances over to the human questioningly. "Uhhhh… sooo… where you guys from originally?"

Yuron will let out a laugh "You look ridiculous right now Rey." as he take the time to catch his breath and clear a tear from his eye "Big Tabaxi squaking like a bird."
"Oh, I can talk to some animals but like humanoids, they also have different languages. These don't speak my language but I get the sense of what they are saying." Watching Rey threatening the Vultures he turns his back to the whole scene. "These ones seem quite rude."
The birds cower from Rey's axe, continuing in their fowl tongue. *ba-doom, ching*
"Ach, fine, we'll take you there, just keep that bloody axe away. And don't expect a warm welcome on the other side!"

Rey nods understandably, showing a slight sign of respect for the birds. "If you can take us there, we can free you, if that be your wish."
He looks to the others and says "Squarkedy sqwark screeee-- *ahem* They'll take us there. I promised to help with their freedom if it is what they seek. May I suggest we wait until nightfall? Or do you think time is of the essence?"
He attaches his axe to his back with a twirl. and before we set off, takes a short breather after the slight scuffle. (If we SR, we'll move them further into the trees and foliage for cover.)
Nope. Gren does not get the interaction between Rey and Yuron, so he shifts his attention back to Nate. "Oh. That make sense."He replied back before Rey finally turns to the group with answers. "Uhmmm… uh... Geeze... Sure? I-If they don't mind flying the dark, that's okay. But the sky did recently turn green,. N-Not to say they had anything to do with that. But on the off-chance they did, wouldn't leave'm to their business only risk more trouble?" He asks worriedly.
Yuron will shrug then nod "Nightfall would probably be a good idea even if they already know we're here they probably won't expect us to fly up into their tower."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Whether Nate sides with Gren or not on the subject of a night raid, Gren will look to the greenlit sky and ponder at length. Then, he looks to the Yuron and Rey and says with a tone of some obvious reluctance. "L-let's just do things your way then. I-I mean, those new friends of yours a-aren't likely to listen to either myself or Ser Nate either way. But let the record show that I-I advised against this."With that, he follows after Rey off to the foliage to wait for nightfall.
(OOC: I'm not sure if you had any other plans Scarab, but I figured its long since time to try to get things moving along. >.>)
And if we're short resting, I'm just gonna go ahead and spend at least two Hit Die: 5. Forgot a die: 8.
Also as a reminder that Nate and Rey are benefiting from Aid.
The group have a short rest before night falls. As the star begin to shine and the air cools, four riders return to the spire, landing their mounts on the top of the spire. Light continues to glow from the spire, although some windows go dark. The vultures with you sleep for a short while.

"Let's Giddy up!" Rey says. (Can we fit two to a bird?) "How good are you with animals?" Rey asks everyone else. "I have some sway over them. Around a 2 outta 10 I'd say" ;)
((You probably could, although it would slow down the birds.))

Lmao.
"I uhhhh... They're not happy." He says to Gren. Rey begins to imitate their screeches and squawks.
He communicates by saying he is an agent for the natural order between beast and man. Calm yourselves and tell me why you serve these people.

The birds squawk in a tongue that only Rey can understand.
