The diminutive Beamer doesn't mind using as much help as he can get. "I'm not ashamed to use the rope. Your athletic and magical prowess doesn't shame me." And he stands ready for Wilford to tie things off on his end and he will start across. [OOC I'm assuming I will need to do an acrobatics check or such to climb across?]
Calanon nodded at their idea, waiting for his chance to go across. While the rest of them went over he kept his eyes open so that they could hopefully not be snuck up on while trying to get to the keep.
(OOC I think he means that if you have 15+ you can attempt to jump but a roll will be required to see if you make it. People under 15 won't make it even if you do roll)
(OOC I think he means that if you have 15+ you can attempt to jump but a roll will be required to see if you make it. People under 15 won't make it even if you do roll)
I interpreted it that anyone with strength of 15 or higher can make the jump without a roll. Those that have strength less than 15 need to make an athletics check of 10 or higher in order to make it.
Long Jump. When you make a long jump, you cover a number of feet up to your Strength score if you move at least 10 feet on foot immediately before the jump. When you make a standing long jump, you can leap only half that distance. Either way, each foot you clear on the jump costs a foot of movement.
This rule assumes that the height of your jump doesn't matter, such as a jump across a stream or chasm. At your DM's option, you must succeed on a DC 10 Strength (Athletics) check to clear a low obstacle (no taller than a quarter of the jump's distance), such as a hedge or low wall. Otherwise, you hit it.
If it were not slopped (Flat) no roll would be needed, but the fact that Lady Nandar likes her high perch means a DC 10 Strength (Athletics) check. and yes, those of you with a Str score less than 15 cannot make the jump. (Unless you roll a nat 20, cause rule of cool is still a thing)
The guard looks at Jason with a Leveled gaze "With all due respect Inquisitor are you so confident you'd rather go in and come back out to a hail of goblin arrows on this bridge with no warning? With a gap to cross before you can even try to fell them? No. Leave the rope and I will stay to warn you all if trouble comes our way."
Wilword
Despite the damages section the wood is surprisingly secure, you find a post easily to tie your end of the rope to securing your party a way across.
Beamer
To cross the rope will not require a roll. As walking up a slanted rope, even at a slight angle, would be almost impossible. Shimmying up it though by using your legs and hands is well within reason.
Tomoe easily clears the gap with a running leap. landing next to Wilword.

Eider, Level 13 Human Abjurer Wizard - Colosseum of Conquest (11W-3L) (Tougher than he looks)
Once Viclas clear the rope, Calanon will follow behind him. Once he is up and next to the others he will turn and wait for the rest of the party to join up with them.
Tomoe will place herself in the vanguard of the group again. We must be cautious, we have no idea as to what foes made it into the keep before the bridge fell.

Ruling for the 15+ Str matter:

Alright, we all made it safe and sound. Let's continue up to lady Nandar's mansion.
Taliesin starts heading up to the mansion.
Viclas will clime up the rope following the rest of the party
Marvarax and Sora (Dragonborn) The retired fighter and WIP scholar - Glory
Brythel(Dwarf), The dwarf with a gun - survival at sea
Jaylin(Human), Paladin of Lathander's Ancient ways - The Seven Saints (Azura Claw)
Urselles(Goblin), Cleric of Eldath- The Wizard's challenge
Viclas Tyrin(Half Elf), Student of the Elven arts- Indrafatmoko's Defiance in Phlan
Once Viclas clear the rope, Calanon will follow behind him. Once he is up and next to the others he will turn and wait for the rest of the party to join up with them.
I think Beamer is the only member still on the other side (not including the guards).
Tomoe will place herself in the vanguard of the group again. We must be cautious, we have no idea as to what foes made it into the keep before the bridge fell.
