The bandit leader had shrugged off his attacks, striking back in kind. Clenching his teeth due to the pain, Orith struggles on to keep the leader focused on himself. Feeling his limited regeneration kick in, he surges forward as Gilbert's blessing takes hold of him, attacking the leader again.
Bonus action (second wind) 8
Main Attack: 8 Damage: 7
Action Surge: Attack: 10 Damage: 15
Rune Attack (if a weapon hits): 8
Fire Rune. This rune’s magic channels the masterful craftsmanship of great smiths. While wearing or carrying an object inscribed with this rune, your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses your proficiency with a tool.
In addition, when you hit a creature with an attack using a weapon, you can invoke the rune to summon fiery shackles: the target takes an extra 2d6 fire damage, and it must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be restrained for 1 minute. While restrained by the shackles, the target takes 2d6 fire damage at the start of each of its turns. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, banishing the shackles on a success. Once you invoke this rune, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

"No!"Quill gasped in horror, watching as the guardsman engaging the bandits fell one at a time under their weapons. More fighters were rushing forward-- she wasn't the only person trying to protect the refugees from Elturel-- but the number of dead was mounting. There had been so few people to escape the city's destruction. It seemed so unfair to see those that had survived fall under the blades of a group of criminals seeking only to line their pockets with what little these people had managed to salvage. Her amulet bit into her palm as Quill tightened her grasp on it, pointed a shaking finger at one of the bandits who'd mercilessly cut down a guard. She called out the words of a spell, causing the sound of clamoring bells to fill the air as her magic surged toward its target.
Toll the Dead - Wisdom Save DC 12. They take no damage if they succeed. If they fail, 6 necrotic damage if uninjured, 8 necrotic damage if injured.
(Woad, Harlan, Orith, Gilbert, Damian, Quill and Bandits)
Woad decides to change tactics. He spots one of the bandits that just killed one of the guards and draws up close to him. He then kills the bandit with one blow from his sword.
Then Harlan turns his attention to the bandit that had attacked him. He releases his powers in the form of a Mind Spike.
(Wis save: 18)
The bandit is ill-prepared for such an attack and feels the full force of the spell striking at him. However, he is just strong enough to stay on his feet.
Orith presses on in the fight against the leader of the bandits. The first attack strikes true and does some minor damage to the fearsome man. However, he sidesteps the second attack avoiding yet another blow.
Gilbert then blesses himself, and his comrades.
Damian then calls upon his infernal powers and throws rays of hellfire toward the bandit leader. The first of which strikes the man in the chest, leaving behind scorch marks. The second goes wild and misses its target. The third ray catches the bandit on the leg and sears through his clothes. the bandit leader is looking weaker but still, he continues to fight.
Quil meanwhile casts Toll the Dead at one of the other bandits.
(Wis: 11)
However, he too is illprepared for resisting the effects of the spell and feels the full force of the spell's attack.
The bandit leader let's out a mighty roar before continuing his onslaught against Orith. He swings with his scimitar twice before stabbing with his dagger.
Damian moves closer to the fighting his eyes locked on the bandit leader that is refusing to go down to his barrage of hellfire. As he is about to unleash yet another blast he notices Quill being attacked by a bandit and he instinctively changes target, unleashing a beam of hellish crackling red force towards the bandit. Eldritch blast: 11 Force: 12 He then moves closer to the tiefling, returning his attention to the bandit leader.

Gilbert seeing how dangerous the bandit leader is, he shouts a COMMAND at the bandit leader to drop and grovel for his miserable life! If the bandit leader is already dead/incapacitated then he instead swings his longsword at the bandit he is in melee with.
Attack: 10 Damage: 7
And then after the command spell or the sword swing he adopts a parry grip on his long sword (+1 AC)
As the bandit came toward her, Quill scrambled backward, trying to stay out of range of his furious strikes. She succeeded in dodging the worst of his attacks, but a particularly deft blow from his scimitar streaked across her forearm, opening a bleeding gash. She cried out, clutching the injury to her chest and throwing up her uninjured arm, calling on her magic to defend her against the onslaught. The sound of bells was deafening, cacophonous in the night air as her spell effect surged toward her attacker.
Toll the Dead - Wisdom Save DC 12. They take no damage if they succeed. If they fail, 1 necrotic damage if uninjured, 8 necrotic damage if injured.
It felt like Harlan had pierced the bandit's mind with part of his own. Although he knew the bandit stood in front of him, could see him, his knowledge now went deeper than that. He knew exactly where the man was, he felt his presence. It was the strangest feeling to have that kind of connection.
The man let out a yell, and clutched his head, but stayed standing. He saw Harlan standing there, staring, and shouted "What did you do to me?!" He raised his crossbow again and this time the shot was true, slamming into Harlan's arm.
Harlan reeled, touching the blood seeping through his sleeve, and something inside him reacted again. His fingers drew in the air, and he spoke in that whispering, gurgling language again.
Something like a hand appeared in the air in front of the bandit, but it flickered in and out. It gave off a faint purple-green glow, and it stank of rot. It lurched towards the bandit and attempted to grip him by the face.
(Woad, Harlan, Orith, Gilbert, Damian, Quill and Bandits)
Woad then moves on to the next bandit. He takes another swing with his sword and finishes off the already injured bandit.
Then Harlan conjures up a skeletal hand. The hand lurches at the bandit and grasps his face. He shouts in pain as he feels the chilly touch of the hand on his face.
Orith manages to successfully attack the bandit leader on the first strike, but he then sidesteps the second attack.
Gilbert then attempts to command the leader of the bandits.
(Wisdom save: 3)
Even with his training in resisting the effects of such magic, the leader is no match for Gilbert's spell.
Meanwhile, Damian finishes off the bandit that had targeted Quill.
With the bandit dropping dead before, Quill has a chance to cast a spell on the other bandit.
(Wisdom save: 19)
She sucessfully manages to kill of the bandit.
Immediately, the bandit leader begins to grovel at the feet of Woad.

Coming up beside Quill, Damian's eyes flashed hellish red with furious anger as he turned on the groveling bandit leader. "Your men has fallen bandit, surrender now and your life will be spared for a just trial." He said in a commanding voice. Intimidation to make the bandit leader yield: 10 (rolled with advantage if help action is given by someone with this endeavour, otherwise go with first roll)

Harlan seems to be readying another spell, a steely look on his face as his hands turn in strange ways, but as he is hit by another bolt he seems to snap out of it. He looks down at the bolt sticking out of his stomach, and he whimpers, "Please, please stop, no more," and he sinks to the ground (he will voluntarily go Prone).
As he lies on the ground his hands begin to move, although he may be heard whispering by those close enough, "I don't want to, please, stop..."
Gilbert raises his hand and yells out Word of Radiance and then points to all the remaining bandits, except for the leader and his companions and a burst of radiance slams into them.
He continues to hold his sword in parry position (+1 AC).
Woad says to Gilbert "Thank you"
