You find the creature’s lair, a dark cavern, walls coated in a thick layer of spider web. You see the wounded spider inside, weeping, as 4 baby spiders cry over their lost mother. Then the Giant spider sees you and screeches. Knowing now that you are the ones that killed their mother, the spiders become enraged and try to kill you. Roll for initiative
All 5 spiders get instantly decimated by a stream of fire. The fire burns so hot that it burns away most of the spider webs on the cave wall, revealing a lot of gold littered on the ground.
Everyone gets 25 gp each
Then you feel a dark presence from the corner of the room. There is an altar with a large book on it. You see the air around it swirling with shadows. As if the book itself is radiating shadows, pulsating and shifting. Upon closer examination, you see it is titled "Book of Vile Darkness". Even though it radiates an evil energy, you can feel how much power it can give the reader. There's no telling what this book would do to you. But defeating Cathrax would be so much easier with the spells this book can teach you. Do you dare take the Book of Vile Darkness?
Being a warlock, who's power originates from evil entities, Tyrath is extremely drawn to the book. I want it. All the knowledge and power contained in that book.
"You guys don't understand. This book is a collection of all of the notes and spells written by every evil entity that has ever held it. The Demogorgon, my patron, wrote his most powerful spell in there. There is twisted, evil stuff in there. But it is worth it. All the knowledge... All the power... I want it. I want it so badly."

You run to stop Tyrath, but you hit him like a brick wall, and bounce off of him. He then grabs the book, and tries to pull it off of the altar, which is requiring more strength to do
Tyrath goes to help you up off the floor. "I am so sorry Arrya. But we need this book to defeat Cathrax. I promise you, this book will not corrupt me. I stared the Demogorgon in the eyes, in his hellish realm, while he bestowed my Warlock powers upon me. That's how warlocks get their powers. Through evil Patrons. If my magic wasn't enough to corrupt me, then neither is this book. It will help."

You all exit the cave, and march on to the direction of the lake. Eventually, the forest opens up into a massive clearing filled predominately by a large lake. You spot an occasional fish hop out of the water but other than that, the outcropping is filled with the lonely sounds of the wind. In the middle of the lake is a small island, upon which an eerie blue light glows.
Arrya looks around and sees nothing out of the ordinary.
Tyrath, however, sees a very large shape moving in the water, too fast to make out what it is. He also sees a patch of grass unnaturally still. The wind is blowing all the grass except for in this small spot, which seems to be pressed down, by something the shape of a foot.
"Wait.. Remember the story. Listra, the pixie. Pixies are magical creatures. There are only few left in the world and I wouldn't be surprised if they had the magical ability to turn invisible. Besides, if whatever it is was hostile, it would have attacked by now."
Then I take a slow step to the footprint, and call out "Listra? Is that you? I am not here to harm you, I am here to help you. If I wanted to harm you I would've tried to as soon as I saw where you are. I am a warlock. I wouldn't need to get close to you to attack you."

“I don’t think that it’s a good idea. Dark stuff like that can really mess you up. We shouldn’t”
A slightly wicked grin befalls Tyrath. "Stop me" then he reaches for the book.

“I’m not sure. As long as it will help...I guess. We just can’t risk you being corrupted”
"I won't let that happen. Now let's rest here before getting to the sword. We're safe here"
“Yes, I could use some rest.” I say, still a little doubtful
After a long rest, we all feel a lot better. Magic and health is all refreshed

"Hey Arrya... Do you see that on the ground over there? It looks like someone is standing invisibly. What should we do?"
I look over and struggle to see what he is talking about. “Should we attack? How do we fight something we can’t see?”
