"The entrance was not submerged. The number of days to get there depends on how fast you travel. If your rushing you can cover 24 miles per day. If at a moderate pace then 18 miles per day. If you travel slowly you can probably cover 12 miles per day. I did not notice any other threats besides the ones I mentioned. You best prepare for hard travel. This island shows no mercy to the unprepared." He gets ready to leave and shoulders his pack "Well I have my own expedition to go on so please see yourself out"
”I should think maybe we visit the Buyer and see what stores he has. Orvo’s seemed persistent about being prepared. I’d be curious to see what he has to sell, at least.” Roxaria bundles her coat around her neck and braces for the outdoor wind and chill as she makes her way to the Buyer.
The party leaves once more into the biting cold and weave their way through the outpost to the largest yurt.
Inside the pungent scent of incense fills this yurt, whose walls are painted with glowing arcane runes. A brass brazier burns brightly at the center of the floor, around which are set a few plush chairs, a bed, and a large stone chest. On one of those chairs sits an elf reading a book. A small dragon with green butterfly wings is curled in the elf’s lap.
Roxaria enters and scrunches her nose at the strong incense. “You must be The Buyer?” She admires the dragon with butterfly wings, but stays her distance just in case the dragon has a temperament with strangers. “We’ll be heading out into the wilderness shortly to find a cure for the Frigid Woe. We understand the dangers that we face, especially with this cold; however, do you happen to have any information on what we ought to be looking for? Also, is there anything you recommend we get before we head out into that frozen wasteland?”
"Well I am not sure what you should be looking for and I suggest talking to Orvo Mustave, but if your looking for gear then I can help. He closes his book and snaps his fingers and shelves appears out of thin air full with adventuring gear. I would recommend health potions, snow shoes, and crampons. There is also these magic scrolls are worth looking at for added help for your journey. I also buy any Aeorian relics you may find" The Buyer once more goes back to reading as he pets his familiar.
He looks up briefly "If you find the cure for the Frigid Woe, then bring it to me and I can teleport is to Palebank villages with my stone chest"
”Health potions actually sounds like a good idea as a back-up. We seem to get beat up pretty hard when we get into a scrap. How much are they? Can anyone read these scrolls? I’m fairly intelligent; however, I am unsure if I would benefit from it, unlike Eline and Reginald, who are arcane inclined. Regardless, I’d be interested in a set of snow shoes and crampons as well.”
"The Snow shoes and crampons cost 1 gp each and the health potion is 25 gp each" The Buyer points to the scrolls "I have scrolls of Magic Missile, Shield, Guiding Bolt, and Thunderwave. They are 25 gp each"
(Prices can be haggled down with a persuasion check. DC 15)
Roxaria looks at her longbow and exhales sharply. She doesn’t want to give up any long distance; however, without anyone else to really go toe-to-toe, she realizes it may not be a reasonable weapon to hang onto if she can get another health potion for the group. She looks to Trem, “Definitely. I think if you’re able to purchase one.”
She turns to the buyer, “Would you be willing to trade my longbow and arrows for a set of snowshoes, crampons and two health potions? If not, how about one health potion?”
She presents her longbow for the Buyer to inspect the quality and condition.
"I'll take some of those snow shoes and the the ice climbers as well."Kha then leans in toward the Buyer. "You know, once we get this cure, I'm sure there's others out there that might be needin' it. I think you could make a good bit of coin making sure it gets where it needs to go. So, if we're needing a few of your healing potions as well I bet you can afford to help us out a little."
Roxaria patiently waits for the Buyer to inspect her longbow to determine if it is worth what she is asking for. She looks to Kha, “If he doesn’t like my offer, maybe we can pool whatever I receive for another health potion. Thank you for your generosity, Kha.”
Knowing her recent propensity toward recklessness, Eline decides it is wise to at least have a health potion or two on hand. "Kha," she responds, reluctantly letting the rogue's arm go, "if you're okay with it, I'd like to get a health portion or two... you know, just in case."

I agree. However I've hit the limit of what I can carry and still have a decent pace...

Do you also have means of transportation? Sled dogs perhaps?

"I am sorry I do not keep animals or sleds, besides my familiar" answers the Buyer

Trem tries to haggle with the Buyer for the snow shoes and crampons (13 rolled in game log, that's a nope). In the end he pays the the 2 gp or it.
I Still got about 23 gp. Anyone need a Health Potion?

[Removes 17gp]
"You're a smart one. I'll take it." Kha drops a handful of gold coins in their hand. "Here ya go."
"Anyone else want anything? I got some more coin here just burning a hole in my pocket."
[Still have 14gp to chip in towards another heal pot or anything else, if we want.]

Trem chips in 16 gp, so we can buy 2 potions now. Trem already has one, so maybe Reginald and/or Eline can have one?
Player: Any Good Alignment // DM: Lawful Evil
"Sure thing." Kha hands Eline the rest of his gold.
Reginald purchases snow shoes and Ice climbers and hands Eline 12 gold.
