Not being close enough to attack, Tor speaks to the others - "Greywind is right, we need to spread out, or we'll all get hit by his fire magics."
He starts walking towards the efreeti in the centre of the scene of carnage. "What brings you to this plane, huh? You break all your toys, had to restock?"
Tor is clearly attempting to keep the efreeti's eyes on him so that the others can flee / get into position.
Siegfried moves to Tor's right while the genasi taunts the big red goon.
His spell requires something the target finds distasteful... seeing all the scorches bodies and burning wreckage, Sigi assumes water is not this guy's most favorite element, so he pours some water from his waterskin into a cupped hand, and calls out, "Oh Chauntea, Lady of the Fields, these folk slain here were humble vintners, bottlers of the distilled essence of the fruit of your vines. Help me send their tormentor back to the dark fires that spawned him!" And with that, he casts banishment.

Barely noting the efreeti popping out of existence due to Brother Sigi's magic, Oloven charges ahead towards the carnage. He pulls Daisy's reins, bringing her to a stop by the cart and hops fluidly from the saddle. His face ashen, he slings his bow across his back and goes from body to body, searching for survivors.
Investigation: 22
(If there's no survivors, then can I co-opt that investigation check into a more general "what the hell happened here?" investigation check?)
In a rather anticlimactic resolution, the Efreeti takes one stomping step towards Tor, with a sneer, "You miserable half-breed, I'll flay your ski--" and then, with a sucking popping sound, seems to be pulled backwards or shrinking into a different plane of existence.
Siegfried can feel the beast pushing against his spell, like he's holding the door shut against an intruder. But after a minute the spell takes full hold and the Efreeti is now banished back to the plane of fire.
Siegfried breathes a sigh of relief and drops to his knees and then prostrates himself on the ground, maintaining his concentration on keeping the foreign foe banished. "All praise to you, Earthmother, for I am but your earthly instrument...".
With his head still against the ground, he clears his throat. "Ahem. Assuming that creature originated on another plane, we won't be seeing it again. On the other hand, if it somehow belongs here on the Material... it will be back in 50 seconds or so...".

With the Efreeti gone, the intensity of the fires dies down a bit to just a smoldering mess. Oloven hears a moan in a mostly unburnt part of the cart that's been knocked over.
Pulling some boards aside, Oloven finds an unconscious human woman in simple garb, common among laborers.
Oloven calls out "Siegfried! We need you over here!"
He gently removes any detritus in the way and pulls her away from the cart, softly speaking to her as he goes, unsure whether or not she can hear him. "Everything's alright, ma'am. I've got a friend who's gonna fix you up just fine."
When the woman is in a safe place and he sees Siegfried coming over, Oloven runs back to the cart to look for other survivors. If there are none, he'll come back to the woman to assist Siegfried, and to listen to what the woman may have to say when she comes to.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With the extra-planar horror sealed away, Sigi hurries to his next duty. He rushes to the woman's side, checking her temperature and briefly examining her breathing. Then he places a hand over his amulet and the other over the woman's forehead. "Oh Mother, I call upon you again. The sun has not yet set on this mortal's days of toil in your fields. Grant her the strength to rise from this ruin and restore blessed life to her form." With that, he casts cure wounds[upcast to level two for good measure]: 22
Assuming the spell brings her back from the brink, Siegfried does his best to keep her calm and lying down until they can get the scene under control. "Shh. The worst is over and the danger has past. We are friends and we will see that no harm comes to you. But please... rest here for now until we are ready to move again. My name is Brother Siegfried Braun, disciple of Chauntea. These men are my friends and we happened upon your caravan while it was under attack. Can you tell us how all of this happened?"

"We need to head out NOW. If that Efreeti comes back, we don't stand a chance against it. MOVE OUT!" He then rides to the woman, placing her on Victor's saddle, strapping her in. He then proceeds to walk away from the caravan, towards the wagons.
Oloven stands in front of Ace before he can move the woman. He says "We don't know how badly she's hurt yet. We're not moving her until we know it'll be safe. And while we're talking, you need to stop going around giving orders and trying to make decisions for the rest of us. I'm a patient man, Ace, but I'm dangerously close to my limit. Do you understand me?"
Ace looks up into Oloven's eyes, with a solid stare that would scare even a hellhound, and says "If we don't move her now, as a matter of fact if we don't all leave now, some of us might die, especially her. Also, I have been trained by dozens of knights and legendary adventurers in military tactics and strategy. This is the environment I am most suited in, so if you want to stay here, fine by me, but if you want to stop me from getting this woman to safety, you are more than welcome to try." With this he grabs a glaive from Victor's saddle bags, and stares daringly at Oloven.
"Enough." Siegfried is drained from all the spellcasting but equally taxed by the tension within the party. "The monster is gone... it no longer strains against my spell and has resigned itself to remain in whatever nether realm it calls home. The danger has passed, for now. Let us collect our thoughts and see if we can learn how this happened and where we can deliver this woman so she will be safe and cared for."

Oloven sneers. He says "Put that away before you hurt somebody, Ace."
He continues. "I don't know who trained you. But they left out a few key lessons. Let me further your instruction.
One. In combat, people who aren't in command, do not give commands. What you thought was brilliant military strategy back there? All that did was cause confusion. You're lucky the rest of us were focused enough to know to tune you out.
Two. When dealing with wounded, the FIELD MEDIC is in charge. Right now, that's Brother Siegfried. That means you, and me, and Tyrel, and Tor, who I will remind you is ACTUALLY in command of this unit, all listen to Brother Siegfried. What he says goes. So we are all going to sit tight until Brother Siegfried gives us instruction, do you understand?
That's the way things are going to work on this journey from here on out. If you don't like it, make your own way to Leilon."
It looks like Oloven will say more, but then Siegfried speaks up and, true to his word, Oloven listens to what Siegfried tells him to do.
Ace looks at Siegfried, turns around, puts the glaive back into the saddle bags, and says to Siegfried, while looking Oloven in the eyes: "Very well then, due to this new information, I agree to allow this woman more rest." He then seems to talk to himself saying: "The battle is over, so it's time to disengage." You then see a flicker in his eyes as you now see his cocky stature return. *YAWN* "OK, I'mma go get Niek, and bring the wagon over."
Right before he leaves, he registers what Oloven said, and turns back around. His eyes phase back to that stone cold expression: "First of all, Tor gave me the go to lead this attack, but you were too IGNORANT as to wait for the rest of us. Second of all, your going ahead and being the HERO could have gotten us killed. YOU were the one who messed it up. And as for the field medic being in charge, I AGREE with that, and that's why I'm letting the woman stay. Also, who died and made YOU in charge... Oh, and one more thing..." Somehow, Ace's expression gets even colder. "... don't you EVER dis my grandmother's teachings, or you'll face the consequences, is that clear?" With that he turns around without waiting for a response, mounts Victor, and rides away.
Once Ace has blessedly departed, Oloven mutters "I swear, that boy ain't got the sense he was born with."
He turns back to Siegfried and the woman, crouching down next to him. "Pardon me, Brother Siegfried. I don't usually like to raise my voice. She alright?"
