Sounds great, in this case I think quality is better than quantity. If some cut purse were to make off with my stuff I would want them to make off with the decoy book and ignore the real one, yes?
"Sure, you know the saying 'Don't judge a book by its cover?' Well let's make your spell book look worthless and the decoy valuable so would be pickpockets do judge it by its cover!" Jairo grins in delight at the thought.
The party completes there shopping and makes there way back to Mid Town. The tavern is located down the street from the Admin house and is frequented by the more prosperous of the town. As the party walks in there is a completely different feel from Rey's. The atmosphere is a bit calmer as most patrons are enjoying their meal and drinks to the bard playing a piano on a small stage. The guards sit in the corner keeping a weary eye on the party with a look, keep to your self and we good. What do you do next...
Prisca sits down at a nearby table adjusting his hide armor for the perfect fit and leans his quarter staff against the table. "Well this is the meeting place, lets see who comes for us"
As the party gets settled in you start to look around wondering who you are waiting for. The party starts to hear a voice from a Crack in the wall next to the booth.
Speak normally and act as though you are talking to each other. Thank you for coming. I work for the Duke's Spy master. I have a job for you but first how much do you know of the old empire?
You mean in the early days of when the Empire was first founded? Or before then when Norend was 3 different villages?

Speaking with Lia as they head into the bar, "Ok, it's a bit out of my usual purview, so give me a few days and I'll work on it - at least when we're not being attacked by giant rats!"
(Ooc: I'll roll the dice in a few days when we've had some realistic down time)
At the sight of the ale, Jairo takes a small sip and nudges the glass to spill some to make it look like she's drinking but doesn't really touch it.
On hearing the voice and the question, Jairo looks down at the table and uses her finger to trace patterns in the spilt ale. "Didn't have much reason to cover the old empire where I grew up I'm afraid, I'm more keyed into current events. I'm sure the both of you probably know something though."She smiles and keeps an eye on the door to see if anyone else comes in and notices them.
We in the guild care less of the rise and more of the fall. An empire of a 100,000 years crumble to nothing, in just a few.
Prisca with an 18 you would know that the fall of the empire is largely a mystery. With your drudic background you know the natural world saw a bloom as much of the population died the wild resurged and it happened quickly. The druids tell stories of monsters that would attack anything not a beast, referred to simply as nature's fury. It is widely believed this is an fable nothing more.
While you ponder let me explain why you are here. We have discovered a journal from around the time of the fall has made its way into night town. It's owner reached out to sell it to the highest bidder but has since gone dark. All my contacts in that part of the city has also gone dark and the agents I've sent in I fear are dead. It's time to send in an unknown a wild card if you will.... Yall.
Fi d a way into night town locate the journal and deliver it back here to the bar keeper. [Jario you know night town is sealed due to a plage that hit a day after you got out, 2 weeks ago]

Enjoying the smells from the kitchen, Lia looks over the common room before sitting down, to see if anyone is particularly interested in them....

...and orders a clubhouse with a pitcher of ale. A pitcher ought to be enough for some privacy from the servers, yes?

History check if you think you would be familiar.
Prisca strokes his mustache in thought.

O, the collapse, Nature's Fury...let me think
DM: Yep you definitely played hooky during your fall of the Empire classes.
Prisca muses aloud a bit secretively "Yes its a mystery how this boar was felled. Perhaps by arrow or spear."
