Haunted Hall

As they round the corner the luminous, wispy form of a female elf floats in the dusty hallway before them, its face wreathed in a tangle of gossamer hair, its body clad in spectral rags that flutter around it. The apparition’s face becomes a mask of rage as it screams, “Get out of my house!”

 Thomas raises his holy symbol.

"You must leave this place."

 "And you must die!!"

She sweeps forward toward the party.

 Thomas channels divinity to turn undead.

 Casts faerie fire.

Overwhelmed by the divine light coming from Thomas the Banshee screams and withdraws into one of the doors up ahead.

Thomas and Toot surge forward but the others hang back.

 "Damn it!"

Thomas grits his teeth as he slams open the door.

Round 2 6 v 10

 Thomas casts spiritual weapon.

A large glowing blade appears between him and the Banshee. Attack: 25 Damage: 13

 Toot casts flaming sphere.

The banshee releases a blood curdling wail.

Both Thomas and Toot drop to the ground unconscious.

 Anders snatches the healing potion from Elandras pack.

He runs up and pours it into Toots mouth.

 Toot wakes up coughing and spluttering.

Glancing quickly between the Banshee and the unconscious cleric. She gets up and tries to drag Thomas out of the doorway.

She tries to bring Thomas around using prestidigitation to warm up his freezing body. MED 19

 The banshee surges forward and attacks Anders.

Anders stumbles back from her deadly grasp and she tries again; Attack: 6 Damage: 11

 Death save. Thomas clings on to life.

 "Keep trying!" Anders cries out to Toot. 

Then to the banshee, "Keep your stinking dead elf fingers off me!" (Viscous Mockery)

 Toot continues her attempts to warm Thomas' body.

 The Banshee reaches for Anders again.

 Death Save. Thomas' life hangs in the balance!

 Elandra charges forward to attack the Banshee.

Anders CON 7 Faerie Fire drops.

 Anders casts sleep on the banshee.

Nothing happens. "Typical!"

  Toot tries one last time to warm up the clerics body.

 "Come on rot sack, is that all you've got?"

 Toot uses create fire to burn the creature.

 With a final scream of rage the banshee evaporates.

Banshee’s Bedchamber

Anders and Elandra drag Thomas to what remains of a large four poster bed at the back of the room. This bedroom shows signs of its previous opulence. Most likely it was set aside for honoured guests, but its furnishings have decayed with age and are covered with dust and cobwebs.

 "I'll keep watch."

The group take a short rest while Feldoran stands guard outside.
