Savage Harvest- adventure thread

"Oh, thanks Will." Sasha says, blushing slightly at the compliment. "Just bought it, Gerty helped to pick it out, she got one twice as nice though."

Sasha's eyes goes wide at the splendor inside, then rushing over to hug Rik as she sees her, but quickly stepping back to let her see Gerty, and her new dress. "Nice, huh?" She says looking between the girls. As the goofy gnome appears she stifles a laugh and follows along, trying to get a seet next to Aaron, discreetly switching some name cards if necessary ;-)

William takes his seat and looks around. 

(Does he notice Sasha switching the cards? Perception check rolled in game log: 17)

(OOC: Does Will really actively check if Sasha tries to switch the seating cards? Well I suppose maybe he wants Sasha for himself, or Aaron, we don't know? ;-) Well, I guess he will notice her then.)

(OOC: William likes shenanigans, he will add to the chaos if he notices 😅)

Luke sits where his name card is looking for those sweet and spicy cakes, not caring if his name card was switched or not

(Just say the word and Sasha will help Lord Farquaad to end up at an even more prominent seat ;-)

Silently following the group. A little shy in a new place with new people. Loran studies the Gnome, with a bug eyed stare as the group follows.  Not a problem…just in time for dinner

(whew!  catching up - I think I'm going to have a busy week, but will try and keep up best I can)

Gerty admires the carved pumpkins as she walks up to the mansion and then continues looking around at all the finery and taking in the atmosphere.  She can't hide her surprise when Sasha calls out Rik's name.  She follows Sasha, honestly couldn't stop herself if she tried, and stares at Rikaria.  Takes her a minute and then she finally remembers to smile and say hi.  She had been so lost in the days activities she hadn't even considered that she'd run into her tonight.  She looks down at her new dress and blushes.  Before she even gets a chance to say hi, as awkward as it would have been, Rikaria is off getting others settled.  Gerty breathes a sigh of relief, then chuckles as she notices Luke is completely one minded looking for the food.  She finds her name and does her best to sit down in her new dress.  Not really sure how it goes as this is completely new to her.

William tries to mingle with the "higher-ups", pretending to be one himself. He's mostly listening at first, looking for leads to join the conversation. As soon as the auction comes up, he will try to lead the coversation to breeding bulls.

Unless she is supposed to get seated Sasha mingles around with the other guests, soon making her way to Lord Farquaad, bowing and treating him like a lord to help the masquerade along.

Meeting up with girls before heading in, Aaron would compliment them both on their outfits, "Wow, y'all are so darn pretty! Looking to dazzle someone tonight, eh?" He winks playfully and grins, letting his eyes rest on Sasha.

"Well come on then, let's giddy on up!" 

Finding their way inside, Aaron would look around awe, "Goodness! I'll be honest - never thought I'd end up here. But I intend on makin' the best of it!" 

"Maybe." Sasha says with a soft laugh, tilting her head and smiling at Aaron as he compliments her and Gerty on their new dresses then making another twirl to show off her new dress.

Later when mingling she brushes past Aaron, leaning up to whisper in his ear. "You would need to show me how to dance here in Longsaddle, I've only ever danced with fey before." Then she laughs softly again as she gracefully steps away through the crowd.

"Then a lesson in the longsaddle style you shall have!" Aaron heads out to join Sasha. (I imagine the dancing to be something along the lines of polka or other folk dancing styles - dances of the commonfolk.)

(OOC: Oh, sorry, don't think the dancing has started yet, has it? But he could show her some nifty moves all the same ;-)

As Aaron comes after her Sasha laughs and lets him chase her for a while before finding a clear space near the center of the room where she turns and gives Aaron a graceful curtsy, complete with a delicate flutter of her hands. "So give me a lesson then." She says with a warm smile, offering her hand.

(Ahh, yes you're probably right, and that makes sense)

"You see its quite easy really. Here let me show you." He takes her hand.

Aaron will spend the remaining time until food is service giving Sasha a basic lesson in the local, common dance.

Sasha tries her best to follow Aaron as he elegantly moves about.

But it is hard to learn something new she realizes as the peculiar but graceful dance steps of the fey keeps influencing her dancing.
Finally she stumbles into Aaron, niftly catching herself by letting her hands go up around his neck.
"You're an excellent dancer Aaron, I'm lucky I have you as teacher, with you're help I'm sure I will get the hang of this before the dance starts." She says with a warm smile before resuming the dance.

Loran kicks his legs in his seat as he waits for dinner to start. Taking in the Mansion around him. "You're doing just fine Sasha. Don't worry, I'm sure you two will be great." He says watching his new friends from his seat.
