Aaron pats Luke on the shoulder, "Very well - I trust your judgement, Luke. Otherwise if we want to be certain, we could set up camp here until a traveler comes by, and see where they came from. Could be waiting a good while though, maybe days."
Gerty listens to Luke as he seems to at least have an idea on his bearings. "If you think that is the way to Mirabar and also have a feeling we need to make haste, lets do so. This is pretty ominous, especially after the other things we have seen today."
Loran ponders the situation and taps his foot impatiently, trying hard to think. "Well, maybe we could somehow repair the post?" Loran says, "Where'd it go anyhow?" He says checking out the remnants of the post a little closer, trying to tell what could've happened to it.
He'll have a look around the general area nearby while the others think, ya never know...
Investigation: 22 (Game Log)
Loran finds all the pieces of the post and the signs, and with that roll he can reasonably tell where on post the signs were nailed and how it might have sat on the post piece still in the ground.
William decides to prank Loran and while Loran is piecing the sign together he casts Minor Illusion to make him hear ominous whispers saying "Maribar" over and over.

Loran takes his fragments and after a bit of sign repair... "Okay i think ive got it!" "Looks like its Northwest to-" "Mirabar Mirabar Mirabar..." Before he can even finish his statement Loran is spooked out of his thought and is shooting up and away from the sign, Head first into a tree... "GEE-YUH! WHAT WAS- ACK!" He's sent sprawling to the ground, with nothing but ferns and what is probably Poisin ivy for support on his trip down. "WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT?" Evidently the Trees remembered what the sign said...
(Not sure if the roll really mattered. I kinda just decided it worked anyway. Hope thats alright.)
As you watch Loran out the sign together, showing the way forward, and then running off like he was bit by something straight into a tree….it seems odd. Like there were some other trees a moment ago, where now there are patches of grass not far from the split in the road…..

William quickly drops the spell when Loran shoots off. Wait! Don't... And runs after him.
Aaron shakes his head at Will, holding a hand up to his mouth stifling laugh. "God's be damned, Loran!" He'll approach and offer his hand to help pull Loran to his feet. Hey, you alright, bud?"
"I- Ugh... Yeah I'm okay.. Thank you." Loran says, red in the face as he takes Aaron's hand and hoists himself up. "Right and umm yeah. It's that way to Mirabar." Loran points to the Left-Most Fork. "Ill be fine. Lets just get out of this Forest eh? Ive had quite enough of it."

Sasha nods at Loran. "Yes, let's move on, something is strange with these trees and I fear it might not only be in a fun way." She says grimly, looking to Luke to take point.
Gerty shakes her head, not exactly sure what is going on, but glad her friends are ready to move on. They can only get to Mirabar fast enough, and she is looking forward to relieving herself of these potatoes. She wonders what adventures will be awaiting them...

After seeing something mess with Loran’s head, Luke is on high alert on top of Brownie. He wonders who or what would cause Loran to go crazed and run into a tree like that. After, what Luke’s believes, was another biderboo he keeps scanning the road ahead of.
Sasha follows along with her flock, a bit less cheerful than her usual self, the tune of her flute a bit more gloomy as the friends move through the moving forest.
The only thing you perceive is the growing darkness of the forest. Luckily, the road seems to be well maintained and you seem to be making good progress. Your livestock seem just as wary and ill at ease as all of you. Nary a bleat or moo. The road seems to curve about quite allot, to go around large boulders and around marshy swampy areas. You come upon several large trees that have fallen, knocked over by a large Boulder that must have impacted the space. One of the trees is nearly blocking the road completely, only enough room for a single horse at a time. It might be tricky to convince the sheep and cows to go through the gap.
You are still nervous about the creepy forest and the creepy voices. When you all stop to analyze the fallen trees with the giant Boulder you catch out of the corner of your eye what seems to be some of the trees behind you moving for sec. and not moving such as swaying in the wind, but moving from one spot to another. You blink, rub your eyes a bit and nothing seems to be moving…maybe your imagination is getting to you
("Great now im seeing things too. I'm the whole package... Surely that wasn't nothing though?")"Hey Sasha? Do those trees look funny to you? You said something about weird trees right?" Something must surely be wrong. Or else maybe he really has gone bonkers.

"No, these trees are...special, I've never seen trees quite like these before, it doesn't mean anything sinister necessarily but we should be wary Loran." Sasha says grimly. "Luke, could you check ahead? The passage over there unfortunately looks like a good spot for an ambush." She says, then looking around to spot a bird or other animal.
