"No, these trees are...special, I've never seen trees quite like these before, it doesn't mean anything sinister necessarily but we should be wary Loran." Sasha says grimly. "Luke, could you check ahead? The passage over there unfortunately looks like a good spot for an ambush." She says, then looking around to spot a bird or other animal.
Perception if needed: 21
It is odd. You don't see nor hear any birds or other normally active forest sounds. No crickets, no frogs.
It is now that as Sasha really concentrates on the surroundings she can hear some rustling leaves from behind and as she looks backs she can see a group of smallish trees have blocked the road in. The trees seem oddly humanoid
A voice rings out from in front behind the fallen trees to the front.
" AHAA! You have fallen into the clutches of me...Dungho! Put your valuables and weapons on the ground in front and move back 10 paces or you shall suffer at my hands!"
Sasha takes a harder look at the trees behind her and can see a hole is cur into the bark and barely visible are goblin faces. There are cracks and crevices in the bark and you can see the tree is really a suit made to look like a tree...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Dungho? Is that you?" Sasha says, remembering the fat goblin from the temple. "Look if you remember us you will know trying to waylay us is a really bad idea. Take your trees and disappear and you'll live to see another day."She says grimly, growing tired of nuisances on her way to Mirabar now, rasing her sinister-looking wand in the air to show she is serious.
Intimidation: 11 Another roll if help action is given: 15
"Now flee little goblins or this fiery demon will incinerate you all together with those highly flammable disguises you wear."Sasha calls out to the goblin bandits surrounding them and uses her new gift to summon a fifteen feet high fearsome flaming flying fiend, glaring at the goblins in turn. She gives a quick nod to Will, hoping for some good audio to make it even more fearsome.
Gerty watches as the goblins make themselves known and just as she is about to get ready to fight, Sasha recognizes the leader! "Oh yeah, now that you mention it... I was never good at remembering things.." She trails off, wondering how they were going to get through this now, and about falls on her butt when Sasha creates the fiend. Gerty's mouth hangs open, in shock and a bit of fear as she takes in the large image.
William was ready to cast Charm Person on the Goblin and is annoyed that Sasha is faster. Just as he gives her an angry look he sees her nod and casts Minor Illusion instead. Making it sound like horrible demonic sounds come from the Fire Demon.
"You would summon a demon upon us, Sasha?! Have you gone mad? What of our conversation? Have you been teaching Will these dark arts as well?" Aaron unsheathes his shortsword and removes the hatchet from it's holster. He takes position next to Gerty.
Luke watches the chaos unfold and shakes his head before trying to de-escalate the situation and calmly yelling out to Dungho "Oy Dungho. Now is that any way to treat us after we showed you mercy in the caverns? Come now before Sasha's dragon burns you to bits, let us through, and be on your way"
Dungho ( who is currently conferring with someone else and hasn’t seen the illusion yet) yells out. “ hah ha, nice joke joke. You wents easy on us? The boss says we let you off easy, even after you killed the chef and ruined the bornday party….he says you pay toll. You leave 5 sheeps, 5 cows and you can pass….Win Win for all… “
Dungho peers over the log to gauge your reaction to the proposal.. “ack, what is that?!!”
Ickor pokes his head up a little farther taking a more intense look at the demonic presence….after a moment he laughs loudly and says “ hah! Magic’s. We can do this too…5 Sheep’s and 5 cows and passage for you, we will allows…”
and he ducks back behind the tree.

" it's you troubley makers again!? You must be followed us...."
You can hear some shuffling behind the fallen tree and some heated goblin whispers...
The tree goblins look at each other nervously, as this is not part of the plan they had discussed.

(Silent Image)
Luke stays atop of Brownie and watches Sasha try to scare the goblins. Poor Dungho. Going to get fried he thinks to himself
Gerty watches as the goblins make themselves known and just as she is about to get ready to fight, Sasha recognizes the leader! "Oh yeah, now that you mention it... Loran just stares bug-eyed, too out of energy to even really react right now. ("Goblins have names???")
High Hopes, Low Rolls. Timezone Is EST.
Surely THIS one will reach an ending...
