Luke, unsure what to do since his arrows don't seem to harm the Bidderboo, tries to light his next arrow with a flaming tip. He dips it into his flask of oil, lights it, and let's it fly at the Bidderboo
As the wolf attempts to retreat Gerty swings the axe from on high and the slivered blade opens a huge gash from his shoulder to his thigh along his back, a second later the flaming arrow from Lukes.bow strikes him as well. The Bidderboo is in bad shape, blood pouring from this new wound. That silver inlay really did the trick.
The injured beast makes to the door right as it bursts open, the on rush of light makes it difficult to see and it casts the wolf and a group of armed humanoids in silhouette.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Just as you call out you hear someone from the doorway let out a curse “ what in the hell!? Holy crap they are real! “
The Bidderboo leaps into the group trying desperately to claw and bite his way through the group of what you now know to be folks from town. In fact, the voice you recognize as that of Mr Cartwright.
The glint of swords, pitch forks and knives flash, it to no avail as the bidderboo blows through the crowd of people and makes its escape. Terribly wounded, terribly angry. One of the towns folk lays bleeding on the kitchen floor.
William feels a sharp pain in his leg as an arrow strikes him in his hamstring. The goblins are awake it seems, but they are not yet aware of the new arrivals
Mr Cartwright calls out. Another voice yells “ we got a man down, he’s bad Mr Cartwright, the bidderboo done tore out his throat….My Gods, a real Bidderboo…”
"Mr Cartwright!!" Gerty yells in exuberance, thrilled to find friend not foe with these newcomers. "We found Mikel, but let's get out of here, more goblins are coming!!"and she runs towards the villagers hoping everyone will get out of this well!
Sasha flicks her fey wand to create another flaiming wall over by the goblins to cover their retreat, then rushing past the farmer reinforcements. "Nice of you to join us Mr. Cartwright but I think we've outstayed our welcome here."She says with a quick smile, taking Mikel by the hand and trying to make it towards the exit.
In the relative safety of the kitchen William decides that may not be wise to aid the the fallen villager. He instead heals Luke. William plays a few tunes on his flute and slaps Luke on the back:
Mr Cartwright orders one of the others to grab the deceased man and they start to head back through the pantry towards, into the dining room with he tables and kegs.
from behind the illusory wall of fire you can hear the goblin Boss say, “ you go home, no come to Ickors born day!”
