Rikaria had been waiting attentively to see what William had to say about the smell behind the door. She hadn't been expecting anything else. With an expression of genuine surprise she replies "Excuse me?"
Luke watches everyone run down the stairs and towards the room where Gorf ran to. He shrugs and decides it's better to go there than get eaten by whatever is behind the other day. He stops at the entryway and watches everyone listening to doors. He waits
Rikaria seems to struggle to remember having said that for a moment, but eventually replies, "Right... I uh... Figured out pretty quick that wasn't you. It was someone else. Someone who wasn't really there... There's something goin' on in this place, Billy. Somethin' that ain't natural. I think you and Sasha felt it too in the last room, didn't ya?"
The sounds from the double doors from up stairs seems to have subsided, like what ever was hitting them failed to make it through.
The scent from the other twos doors seems equally strong. From the southern door William thinks he can hear faintly something sounding like clattering of metal on metal.
William can see the stonework of this place quite good, and very old. Part of some long lost civilization he guesses. Nobody really knows how many cultures have come and gone. This area used to be dwarfs, then taken by orcs for a time and so on. The murals from the other room suggest maybe elves…
Rikaria is silent for a moment, deciding not to point out that she had made almost the same point about the dungeon less than a minute ago. William not listening to Rikaria when she spoke was nothing new and she didn't think now was the time to start an argument. "... That's a good point, Billy."
At Gerty's rebuke, Rikaria responds "Sorry. I can't really smell anything in particular from here, but Billy says he can hear something through the door. Maybe it's kitchen sounds?"
"Wait Billy!" Rikaria says, grabbing William's sleeve before he can go through the door.
She turns to Luke and asks "Luke, can you check for traps before we go through? I know we have to hurry but we won't save Mikel by getting ourselves blown up!"
Rikaria offers Luke guidance on his investigation check to check for traps in the southern door.
(If you really want to I guess. But I mean, I just wanted to give Luke a chance to participate because he hasn't really gotten to do anything in this room.)
You tried to blame me for something, Rika. And know I didn't do anything...

William copies Rikaria's voice:
"What in the name of Chauntea was that!? Billy!? You practicin' your ventriloquism again!? Now is NOT the time!!"
Does that ring a bell?

Gerty sees Rik and Will over yappin, "Guys! Now isn't the time, this is not the kitchen door, what do you got? Sasha? You smell anything?"
The sounds from the double doors from up stairs seems to have subsided, like what ever was hitting them failed to make it through.

Hmmm? Oh, well... I'm sure there's more to this place then meets the eye. Just look around! Does this look goblin made?
Sounds like there's something in here. Feel like taking a risk?

Luke, noticing the sounds from the double doors having subsided quickly moves down the stairs to the entrance of the large room.
( since Luke wasn’t at the stairs when William pointed out the string, he needs to make a DEX check to avoid it. Dc15)
"Hey, I think the kitchen could be this way." Sasha says, standing by the eastern door.

William fears for Mikel's life. He decides to open the southern door and hopes he's in there alive and well.

Luke’s keen senses pick up some light on the string and he steps over it safely.
