Sasha glances over at Aaron as he walks up near her side, eyes fluttering for a brief moment, smiling innocently. "My protector." She says breathlessly, and then she laughs softly smiling warmly at him, then returning her attention to the approaching rider.
Aaron exhales through his nose, finding the idea of him as a “protector” somewhat humorous.
“Can’t let you have all the fun, now can we?” he says with a grin, looking on toward the rider. He leans over in a sort of hushed fashion, “Something about this strikes me as odd. Just a gut feeling perhaps, but just keep an eye if for anything.. strange.”
As the rider nears, and Sasha calls out to him, he merely raises his hand in greeting and moves off the road a bit to give you a wider birth and plenty of room to pass with your herd. When he gets close enough, he makes some strange clicking sounds, and in a perfect imitation of Sasha’s voice says, “ news from the north, sqwaukkkk, sorry…” as he shrugs his shoulders and points to his mouth. This is when you see he has a beak and looks like a raven.
you can make intel checks to see if you would have heard about this race or not. None of you have ever seen one before.
Aaron looks at Sasha with an expression that reads this-is-strange-but-more-than-I-anticipated-strange. He stays silent and lets her do the talking with the stranger, opting to instead keep an eye out for anything suspicious about them.
"Nah, I think you just want a reason to stay close to me Aaron." Sasha whispers back, not taking her eyes of the approaching rider.
Sasha gawks a bit at first, seeing the strange birdman. "Don't be sorry, can you stay a moment, we just want to talk?" She says with a pleading look.

Sasha feels she has heard of a few races of bird people. And thinks this one must be one of the kind called Kenku, seeing how there are no wings, at least not that she can tell. Very rare to see one in these parts.
He responds in two different voices on Male and one female. "Longsaddle..Harpell " in the womans voice and " deliver the message...urgent...talk to no one..." in a rough man's voice.
Then he squawks and says sorry again and moves on.
“Well that buggar sure was interesting….this could be what they call a bad omen for us if that fella is running on ahead to deliver some sort of message….Well let’s keep on going and see what we will find Eh?”
You move on towards the tree line and marvel at ho abruptly the terrain changes. Hardly any transition. It goes from rolling prairie to dense woods. To the west of the road you can see the shapes of the tall, jagged hills known as the crags. The roads narrows a bit as it enters the forest and it seems you will have to arrange yourselves and the livestock into a narrower formation.
( here you will only be able to travel 2 abreast and will need to be specific on your order of March and where you are in relation to the animals)

By far not the strangest fella we've met!
William and his cheese (and stinky cows) will right behind Luke.
"What an eccentric performance." Sasha says as the birdman presses on south on his horse, silently hoping he wasn't carrying sinister news for Rikaria.
(And Sasha will come up behind Will with her flock of sheep :-) She would have tried to commit the voices heard to memory for later.)
"Hm, first time I ever heard that Will, but I hope you're right."Sasha says, still pondering the voices she heard for a while before picking up her own flute and playfully joining in with Will's merry tune.
"eccentric, ominous.. man, that was just plain ol' weird. Never have I ever seen a bird person before."As they get closer to the edge of the forest, Aaron will stop and say, "Well, looks like we don't have a ton of space to play with anymore - Barely enough room for two people to walk next to each other. Should we stick close to each other or have a couple folks on the backend of the livestock to cover our rear?"

Gerty will bring up the rear with her cart of potatoes :)
Loran will speed his sheep up a little to walk alongside Sasha's flock. Just sorta feels right.
"That was something alright. I hope they get where they're goin okay."
High Hopes, Low Rolls. Timezone Is EST.
Surely THIS one will reach an ending...
"Yes, I guess so, what they said though, it sounded a bit ominous to me." Sasha says to Loran in a slightly worried tone.
You worry too much!
William replies and start playing that happy tune again..

Sasha shrugs. "Luke's got the front and Gerty's got the rear, don't you Gerty?" She calls out to the dwarf behind them.
Gerty raises her hand up so she can be seen, "Yep, I gotch your rear right here, girly!" she shouts back to Sasha, grinning.
Sasha laughs softly, turning her head to give Gerty a wink as she sits on the potato cart following her flock of sheep.
