Finn takes a peek at her cards and toss them away. They could be playable in the right circumstances but better to get a good read of the table before getting too loose with her chips. Generally she's aiming to play tight while giving off the impression of playing quite loose, and definitely focusing on table chatter, guard positioning and communicating with the party...
Norros gestures to everyone else. "I think I'll be talking to the guards, maybe one of you come with me? But the rest of you should see if you can find where any food is going, or maybe what sort of exit strategy we can have? Check out the street even. Maybe get back to Brumak's office and find out how to escape those gargoyles."
Norros heads to follow up with the guard who was bit by the cat. "That must've been some cat. Is there an office cat? And I hope you won't mind introducing me to the rest of the crew, I'd love to get to know the team, and start from there with my work. You all see this place every day, I'm sure you could tell me the most."
Varlan nods, then realizes the gesture can't be seen by the intended recipient. "I have some skills with locks, when I put my mind to it. No guarantees though. As to other ways in...a mental map would help. From the outside it looked ramshackle...the kind of place that might have all sorts of points of egress and ingress."
Varlan continues to follow Norros dutifully, trying to build a mental map of the layout.
The guard is a robust man in his 20's. He nurses his hand revealing calluses and his knuckles bear marks of being in a fist fight recently. He begins to fidget. "The names Obric and uh... it was some alley cat." He points to his fellow guards and in order left to right he introduces them. "Now that is Marl, Jacob, and Fenic"
Obric is a half orc
Marl is a stout female dwarf
Jacob is a stern looking goliath
Fenic is a swarthy tanned human male
With Brumak gone they relax and return to their seats and coffees.
Thordahr sides up next to Norros as if to be interested in the conversation but looks closer at the man's hands and the length of the ginger hair, if it's still visible, to see if it could even be a cat.
(Also question! Was the portrait we were given a color one? Was her hair red?
Yes her hair is red. The strand of hair is too long for a cat. On closer inspection you are sure he was in a fight recently and than his injuries are not consistent to cat bites or scratches.
"Oh I see, please call me Mr Blank. A bit over the top, I know, but it's part of the sales pitch, and certainly worth the bit of security. Now, I've met quite a few guardsmen - and women- who found a need to occupy their time with more interesting activity than just watching the same things over and over, and they'd gamble on it as well. Something tells me you've all learned better than to gamble here, so what do you do to keep your minds active?" Norros gives each of them a rather blatant sizing up, but really he's looking to see who has keys and how accessible it might be for someone to snag. Perception 3
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thordahr passes along info regarding the hair and injuries to Finn to pass onto Norros. He also passes on that perhaps Norros can ask some questions about where each of the doors lead to?.
He also specifically looks for keys on all the guards. Perception: 24
"Ah yes, could one of you give me a rundown on the layout of the place? What are the restricted doors for? Do you have fire exits here? Peep holes? 'Eye in the Sky' on those card tables to watch for cheats?" Norros makes himself comfortable sitting with the guards.
The guards looks at each other Obric responds "I am sorry that is restricted information, if the boss hears us spill the bean, we can count ourselves dead. I can tell you we do have a fire escape from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor outside."
Finn mentally suggests Norros say something like “Fine, I don’t need the exact contents of the room. I just need know if there are people in there who may need assistance in an emergency or if there are other ways in or out…”
It could be problematic having to fight the entire club, but if there are other access points to those rooms… *shrug*
Varlan nods at the guard's comment, then turns to Norros, "Sir, if I were assaulting this place, I would light a fire at the base. Perhaps we should inspect the outer defences and escape routes when we are done here?"
Norros nods to Varlan. "A good idea, lead on." Then mentally returns to Finn "I think we know, best not to say anything. Give us a bit before your distraction."
Varlan puffs up his chest as if pleased at the acceptance of his suggestion, then raises his eyebrows and turns his gaze slowly to the guards to ask for directions to fire escapes and outer defences. He listens passively to their answer then nods and steps back to allow Norros to lead to the fire escape.
The dealer hands out the poker chips and deals. Finn plays a round as he waits makes plans with the team.

Marl pipes in "Well we play a trading card game (Magic the Gathering) when we have time."
Norros does not notice anything of note or keys.

Thordahr does not notice any keys on the guards present in the break room.

“Distraction on your command,” Finn assures. “Just give me the mental GO.”
Meanwhile, to prepare for her planned distraction, Finn attempt to hold back an Ace while mucking her cards and tuck it in her sleeve…
Sleight of Hand: 20 plus 2 via Psi-Bolstered Knack, if needed.
((please let me know when these extras are needed. They’re only used when needed to make a failed roll a success…))
(Yes the extra was needed and you passed the sleight of hand check)
Obric tells Varlan "The fire escape is outside on the right side of building. Well we do have gargoyles in front so be mindful of them"
