Vera will cast Comprehend Languages through her glowing orb to examine the texts on the wall indicated by Hin. She traces her finger tips on the strange markings while letting the glow of her spellcasting focus fall on the sigils.
Hin, you're unfortunately unable to think up anything on this one word, you continue focusing on it, until you begin to feel yourself physically growing weaker. You shake the feeling off as Vera arrives.
Vera
As you approach Hin, since your detect magic is still active, in front of Hin, there is an extremely strong divine aura radiating. He's been touching it, and running his hands over it. If you would like to continue casting comprehend languages as you originally posted after receiving this information, please give me a constitution saving throw as well.
Barburry
Unfortunately, it's difficult to focus and connect with the earth above while in this cave. You do believe these caves are ancient, and very likely existed prior to the Thearrothen Peninsula shattering to create the Thearrothen Isles. It's also easy to figure, if they existed prior, it's likely when the peninsula shattered, the caves became exposed.
Looking back and forth between the writing on the walls and ceiling and the specific text Donavera and Hin are looking at, Laurence squints and tries to look for any pattern or bigger picture.
Barburry exhales a disappointed breadth and cannot help but think to himself chidingly. "What are you thinking Barburry? Running off to find some sort of secret that the other minds from the academy have already pursed though might have missed? Focus on helping, not standing atop the pile."
Barburry exits his cave and looks to the others. "Hey Hin, did I hear ya call out? I'm finding myself a bit turned around on my own and would love to help."
Suddenly feeling exhausted, Hin sits down to rest a little. Seeing Vera and Laurence come over, she takes a slow, deep breath in and stands back up again. "I know this may seem strange to say, but don't look at the glowing word. There's something wrong with it. Vera, please be careful." She goes over to help Laurence with looking at the wall. Her ears then pick up the sound of Barburry's voice, and she replies, "Yes, I've found something. We could use all the help we can get, trying to figure this out. I can pick out a word or two, the ones written in Common and Draconic, but I think I'm missing something." At this point, she is mainly speaking to herself. "Oh, Barburry, don't look too closely at that word." She points to the word Vera is inspecting. "I tried reading it, and I felt my energy draining from my body. I don't think it's a normal word. It seems to have power..." She trails off, muttering to herself again.

"I only know the language of other giants, loosely mind you, and elves as well. They write great stories. I'm happy to try but I hear your warning Hin. Honestly I'm more worried about you."
Barburry using a minor version of the Gust to move some air around and make a fan of sorts to ease their comrade. He can't help but glance aside every now and then and wonder at the magic words....
Vera, as you run your fingers over this glowing word Hin had just touched you for a brief moment understand what it means. Passage. However, you understand it in every possible language at the exact same time and it overloads your mind. You jolt back as you do, feeling yourself growing extremely weak, though you manage to shake the feeling off. After catching your breath for a moment, you feel OK.
Barburry
As you turn to run back towards Hin you ever so slightly hear your name echo from deeper within the cave you were exploring on your own.
Barburry, you create a nice little fan to create circulation around Hin. It kicked up a little dust in the area, not much, but enough that you notice what appears to be a drawing on the ground.
(OOC: Those magic words are right there, Barburry. Touch them!)
"Barburry, I'm fine. Just felt a little fatigued, is all. Thank you, though, your concern means an immense amount to me." She really meant it. "Vera, please be careful." Hin stands ready to catch Vera, in case she falters a little. "Were you able to read what the word said?" Upon seeing that she did not fall, she crouches down to inspect the gap between the floor and the wall---it did not go unnoticed.
(ooc: I feel like if we were running this campaign in person, this would be the part where the DM starts smiling. Might be the only one that feels this way... It's unnerving, but exhilarating nonetheless!!)

"Woah woah, let's slow down a second. The two of you just touched a word and your knees went weak. I think I just heard my name being called from the cave I was in and...oh wait. What's this? Mind your faces, I'm probably going to kick up dust."
Looking down Barburry casts Gust again repeatedly to reveal the covered drawing (holding a handkerchief over his mouth and nose).
Barburry, you continue to use gust to clean up the floor below you. This drawing you've uncovered spans 40 feet, wall to wall, and is roughly 30 feet in height. It depicts a massive white dragon engaging in combat with a lone female warrior on the edge of an icy cliff. While the landscape is simple, the dragon and the warrior are extremely detailed, giving hint that they're the main subjects of the drawing.
Roquefort sneezes as the dust get kicked up. Laurence holds Roquefort a little tighter, after a moment of deliberation they say: "Mr Barburry, you heard someone call for you from the caves? I sent Roquefort in one of the caves and it thought it heard something inside, too." They move carefully around the drawing, towards the wall where Vera is examining the word, to avoid obscuring it. They tilt their head and looks at the drawing in full, is it a historical figure?
(ooc: I agree, this is unnerving but also exciting! btw did Laurence's perception check in post #129 reveal anything? ALSO how are the other archeologists and Prof Maz reacting to this drawing?)
(OOC: Sorry Laurence! When I was making that post, I apparently skipped over your perception check!)
As you take a step back, Laurence, and gauge the wall looking for any sort of larger picture.
Laurence
While the text itself doesn't seem to make any sense, stepping back, you realize the text, with the help of some of the random markings on the wall, create what looks like a sword, with a lock of hair wrapped around the blade. Though, many of the markings have deteriorated away with time, your mind has managed to reconstruct the majority of it.
Make a religion check if you'd like to try and discern the larger picture, Laurence.
Professor Maz hasn't reacted to Barburry kicking up the dust quite yet, as it was localized and you're a bit away from him, but the archeologist closest to you all has taken notice in dust being kicked up, and while he hasn't fully reacted yet, it does look like he's going to make his way over to see what's going on.
(OOC:Hin, please give me an investigation check while you check this gap out in the floor and wall)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Investigation: 22
(ooc: are you kidding me.... the manipulated rolls tag haunts me. Idk what I'm doing wrong.)
Heeding Barburry's warning, Hin jumps up and quickly backs away from the wind, covering up her nose and mouth with her sleeve. When the dust settles, and when she is finally able to see what was uncovered, her eyes grow wide with awe. "What craftsmanship, what art. Whoever painted this was truly an artist.." She says this as if a fire was lit under her. "I wonder who this is, the girl in the carving." She crouches down and, while looking closely at the carving beneath her feet, traces her fingers over the marks that were made in the stone. The consequences from the last time she touched stone in this cavern has completely left her mind, her curiosity is too great for classical conditioning.
Barburry will scrutinize the drawing as well, pointing out little things he notices to aid Laurence in their check. Then he'll return to the cave he originally investigated and likewise see if a drawing is also covered on the floor. (Ooc: He is like a reverse vacuum cleaner with this Gust cantrip.
