“I think we should find Golmo. It’s true that It might take a while to make that journey, but it would also take a lot of time and effort to collect resources and make a forge. Between Horatio and Golmo’s expertise, I’m sure we could come up with some fine pieces or armor and weapons. We might even be able to pick up some more allies as well!”

Elkhorn is indeed with you. The change of scenery seems to have put him in an even better mood than he had already been. "The castle!" he shouts in reply to Matilda. "Yes, my compatriots and I visited that place once before! We fought a mighty battle that day with our foul archenemies, the League of Malevolence. I don't remember how it ended, but if they are not smitten we shall smite them again!" He rattles his sword in the black air.
Just then a massive bolt of lightning forks across the sky above you with a deafening crack of thunder. You get a glimpse of massive lightning rods scattered across mountaintops, each sending arcs of lightning across the sky to lightning rods atop the distant castle.
"To the mine!" repeats Squirt confidently, leading boldly onward. "So, which way is the mine again?"
Ahead, you now see two figures standing on an outcrop of rock, outlined against the stormy sky. One is a slender female elf wearing a crescent moon mask, and the other is a three-foot-tall dandelion with a small rapier strapped to its stem. A honeybee the size of an orange buzzes around the dandelion’s bright yellow head.
The elf is the first to notice you. As she points in your direction, the dandelion draws its rapier and assumes a defensive pose. The honeybee buzzes more loudly as it flies circles around the two of them. "Ahoy, you unknown wanderers!" calls out the dandelion. "Hold thy steps and declare thy intent!"

"Fair words. Indeed, I strive to acquire a safe hiding place for my beloved companion Pollenella, here," replies Amidor. The bee continues to buzz circles around the dandelion. "Perhaps I know a rocky hideaway where we may rest without fear of assault. We seem to have angered a Cyclopean beekeeper back there."
The dandelion turns and thinks before leading you off in a new direction toward a boulder-strewn mountainside. A pair of skittish goats leap away, avoiding your approach.
"My name is Gleam," says the masked elf as she follows Amidor. "I also have business with Endelyn Moongrave. She abducted my sister, and imprisoned her."
Lightning continues to flash above. You note that Gleam casts no shadow.
Not really listening to the conversation, Titaani speaks to the bee using her wood gnome feature. "Hello, Pollenella. What a pretty name! How long have you been travelling with Amidor?"

Pud does his best to keep up with the group. He'd never admit it if anyone, but he isn't accustomed to all this walking about and he finds it quite taxing.
With a hop and a skip he falls in stride with Titaani and listens in on their conversation with Pollenella. He's still a little unsure of any new travelers out on the road, so he's keeping Rizzo out of sight for the time being.
Pud observes the bee intently. His intent is so commit to memory how their wings work, perhaps for some future tinker toy, but he's also hoping to spot anything out of the ordinary on their person. Perception check: 6
(OOC: DM, how large is Pollenella? Are they wearing or carrying anything?)

"I've only heard a few stories of the brigganocks who live under the mountains of Yon and run Brigganock Mine. I don't know if it's safe or not. They could be in league with Endelyn," replies Gleam.
"We may tempt destiny and seek sanctuary there," adds Amidor, leading the way into the gloomy, rocky landscape. "Peculiar fey folk gather the fragments of dreams and desires in that mine. A kaleidoscope of possibilities awaits, where wishes bloom like petals in spring. They might be allies in disguise or veiled agents of the hag's design. Fate's tapestry weaves a tale yet untold!" It rattles its rapier in the air again confidently.
Pollenella ignores Titaani and continues to buzz around Amidor happily. The large bee (albeit still Tiny) seems very affectionate and comfortable with Amidor. (It's only slightly larger than an ordinary honeybee. It wears nothing but bee fuzz and carries no gear.)
"Amidor is on the run after freeing Pollenella, a queen bee, from a cyclops beekeeper," explains Gleam. "The two of them then crossed paths with me, and, after hearing my sorry tale, Amidor resolved to help me. Endelyn Moongrave snipped off my shadow using a pair of magic scissors and has imprisoned my twin sister, Glister. The Rule of Hospitality prevents the hag from harming Glister, but I can sense my sister’s distress. We're an acrobatic duo. We used to be star performers in the Witchlight Carnival. I want to free my sister and find a way back to the carnival—perhaps with the help of the Fey Beacons I've heard about – I'm told if you light them you may be shown a way home."
She pauses, for ahead, three old goats block your path. The goats have silvery-gray fur, wizened faces, and golden, hourglass-shaped pupils that observe the party closely. One of them bleats something in a humanoid language none of you understand.

"How rude," Titaani mutters under her breath as Pollenella ignores her. Instead, Titaani focuses on the goats. "Um, hello? Are you friendly? Do you speak common?"
As she looks at them, Titaani will attempt to ascertain whether they are allies or enemies. Insight: 13

The three goats stare back. They listen to the wind for the moment, then speak in turn:
The first goat says, “When the moon obstructs the sun, Creeping Lyn will come undone.” The second goat says, “Play to her passions. Stay on script. A cat, a horn, or a shadow ripped.” The third goat says, “The fool’s scepter is the key.”
Then they pause, and stare.
Titaani senses they are waiting, expectantly, for some sort of reciprocation.
Matilda looked confused at the goats proclamations, " Uh, they look like they want something. Does anyone have any food? I mean goats can eat a lot of stuff..."
Horatio shakes his head in frustration, "I never get riddles correct! Not one, ever. Can't you goats just say... whatever you have to say, more plainly?"

Ben:
”Might be worth going to the Forge at the Mine first. It could save us time if we can make a deal to use it,” suggests Ben.

Matilda listens to Gleam nodding with understanding then is kind of flummoxed by the goats, " Isn't there a nursery ryhme about these guys?"
" Do you need help with a troll? Is there a bridge involved?"
