The goblin shrugs. "The matinee may be canceled, but she'll be back. I don't envy tomorrow's leads on stage, though. There'll be more masks, I'm certain."
(Would you like to treat further with the goblins, or continue on to the hidden tunnel to Brigganock Mine in the Parts Storage room as you first intended?)
"If nothing else, we have ruined Creeping Lyn's mask-making contraption. With her gone for at least the rest of the day, anyone who wishes to leave her employ should leave today," says Ben.
"Let's leave this place," says Ben to the others in his group, "I am not sure who else we can help here if they don't wish to take advantage of their opportunity."

”Horatio, let’s dump the squealing marionettes here and let the goblins deal with them unless you want to keep them for some other purpose. I can help you with the ornithopter if you like,” offers Ben.

One of the goblin carpenters holds up a hand in protest of Pud's act. "No, no, no! Please keep the tools here. We need those."
Horatio and Ben go back and struggle with the ornithopter some more. It's 8 feet long, about 25 pounds, and has a 14-foot (albeit hinged) wingspan. So it's easy enough to drag in the open amphitheater, but it's a beast to drag down a ten-foot-wide set of curving stairs.
Ben or Horatio: Make a DC15 Dexterity check to navigate it down the stairs. (You may have Advantage since there are two of you.)
"You need the tools here? HERE?! You're gonna stay? WHY THE HECK ARE YOU GONNA STAY?!" Pud flips out and starts yelling. His voice stammers and quivers and he starts crying out of complete and utter frustration.
"If...if that nasty old hag was half as strong as you make her out to be, you think she'd really need your help?! She's nothing without you guys!
You're all so smart, and talented and special. Can't you see that? You built these crazy contraptions! Not her! Imagine the GOOD you could do out there if you'd just believe in yourselves."
Pud takes a minute, wipes away his snot and composes himself.
"...We don't need your tools. You can keep 'em. But don't stay. Please....leave."
Pud turns and hobbles over to group, tired, defeated and hungry and says"Let's get outta here."

"There is nothing for us out there!" objects the carpenter goblin. "Have you seen it? Rocks and storms and nothingness! Until Zybilna returns, we have no future out there. Creeping Lyn can be mean, but the work isn't bad, and she feeds us."
"Sometimes," laments Kizz.
Meanwhile, Horatio gives up trying to fit the ornithopter down the curved staircase into the understage workshop. No matter how he turns it or bends the wings, it simply won't fit. Looking up into the black, lightning-filled sky, he realizes that the only direction this machine was designed to go was up. Up into the black, stormy skies.

Ben
Nodding to Kizz, Ben motions for them to follow him. He tries to get everyone in the parts room who plan to go with the party, then moves out to the main room to address the remainder of the goblins.
”We are planning to leave soon and require privacy. Go upstairs and begin setting the stage for your first independent production,” he commands the goblins, hoping to keep the exact method of their escape secret.

Pud smiles and stands up a little bit taller when he hears that some of the goblins wish to flee this dammed place. He makes a clicking sound with his mouth and nods for Rizzo to go flutter around the goblin kids. The little clockwork hummingbird darts over to Kizz and her family. She buzzes about them chittering and putting on quite the show.

Titaani seems very upset at the idea of the goblins staying here. She considers her crystal for a moment, wondering if it would be wrong to use magic to force them to leave. A reproachable look from Tiny answers her question. Seeing Kizz join them, however, cheers Titaani up.
“You’re making the right choice!” She announces cheerfully, moving to walk beside the goblin. “We’ll protect you and keep your children safe. Helping people is kind of out thing.”
Matilda begins herding the goblin family towards the bolthole......not sure if the tiny mountain fairies were going to like them coming along but sick and tired of being in the theatre regardless.
Kizz, her two children, and three other adult goblins join the party as they exit into the Parts Storage Room. Rizzo entertains the two youngsters.
The remaining two dozen or so goblins begin to warily trod up the stairs toward the amphitheater, eyeing Ben nervously. "Don't take anything," warns the carpenter goblin.
As the last of the goblins exit, the party gathers in the crate-filled storage room. The wall concealing the tunnel remains as you left it.
“Mmm, I don’t know, sis,” Titaani replies, chewing her lip as she contemplates the idea. “Maybe they’ll change their minds. We should give them the option to escape later if they wish to, I think.”

The crowd of goblin stagehands and carpenters have reluctantly exited to the amphitheater, casting wary glances at you as they leave. You can sense their anxiety and discomfort.
The party, together with six goblins wishing to depart with you, crowd into the Parts Storage Room, stacked with crates of props and wooden backdrops draped in cobwebs.
Unless you have other business, or a change in plan, the party takes apart the wall again, pulling out the loose-fitting stones to create a 3-foot-square opening. One by one you enter the tunnel.
(Are you sealing the wall up again? Or leaving it open?)
The goblin shrugs. "The matinee may be canceled, but she'll be back. I don't envy tomorrow's leads on stage, though. There'll be more masks, I'm certain."

“Sorry, ma’am. I don’t have any food. You should take your kid and get outta here. Maybe you can find some of that old witch’s snacks.”
Pud turns and shrugs as the goblins go on about the old crone.
“Back tomorrow eh? We wrecked her contraptions pretty good so I bet she’s gonna cancel more than the matinee.”
Pud walks over to the tools he scoped out earlier and picks up the golden hammer and the masons tools.
“I take it you guys won’t be needing’ these? Mind if we take ‘em? We’ll put ‘em to good use fighting the hags and all her goons.”

Matilda shook her head, " I swear everywhere we go here in Fairyland.......its like all the people here like being enslaved and tortured."
She followed Ben.
Horatio picks up one end of the ornithopter, "Maybe I can drag it?" He tries.

Frustrated in more ways than one, Ben says, "It seems we must leave the ornithopter behind, as well as these goblins who prefer servitude to freedom."
Ben is ready to go, though he doesn't want to betray their secret path back to Golmo's domain.

Matilda will vote for sealing it, she doesn't want the hag to kill the miners......even if they were a bunch of brats...
