”Agreed,” says Ben, picking up the warhammer and wiping it off on the seam man’s cloak. “Let us recall there is an entrance to the upper level in this room, should we find no other way to access it once we have searched the first floor.”
He joins Titaani back in the hallway and also waits for the others to be done.

Unless you have further business in the sludge-filled tower, the party regathers in the hall with the rug. (Is everyone still carrying their white rose? Are you planning to keep them on as you exit this hall, or deposit them into the matching alabaster rose-filled vase on the pedestal in the northern end of the hallway?)
The door opens easily into a long, well-lit marble hall. Where to? (Marching order?)
Dropping his rose off into the vase, Ben says, “We must remember to pick these up if we come back this way.” He moves into the northern hallway and moves up to the open stairwell on the east wall.

The flowery rug doesn't answer; it remains still and inert on the floor.
Ben approaches the rising stairway over the Court of Storms, identical to the two they have already climbed. It rises up to the top floor of another windowless turret.
Past it, upon an upper floor of the tower beyond, Ben can see that part of the tower wall has exploded outward, and its stony fragments are hanging in the air as time around them has stopped. Among the debris, suspended above the stormy vortex, is an armored knight with a sword in one hand and a shield on his other arm. He looks like he was thrown backward through the exploding wall before being frozen in place.
"Look over there," says Ben, pointing at the suspended knight. "Do you think we can hook him and drag him over to the stairs, or do you think being frozen in time will keep him from being pulled?" he asks.

The party examines the suspended knight hanging in the air. He is about sixty feet over the vortex, and maybe thirty feet away from the hole punched through the north wall of tower by some kind of powerful explosion. Time clearly froze only a moment after whatever blast caused this.
Matilda estimates a 30' lateral jump from the stairwell – not possible without magical means – and a 60' drop into the swirling storm vortex below should she miss. And that assumes that the time-frozen stony debris caught in midair will bear her weight. And even should that be true, jumping from one stone to the next could be risky.
Horatio verifies that the knight indeed wears shiny plate mail, and holds a beautiful steel longsword to boot.
"Strongheart," cries Elkhorn, squinting at the dramatic frozen scene, pain in his voice. "My courageous leader, my friend... A fearless seeker of justice. He founded Valor's Call. Somebody will pay for this, or I will die trying. How can we unfreeze him?"
“Hey, sorry I’ve been trying to figure this place it. It’s so weird. We gotta be careful if we see anymore members of the League. Looks like they aren’t bothered by this time stopping stuff.”
Pud cups his hands around his eyes and gauges the distance to the knight.
“Titaani, I’m fresh out of the flying potion. But I think I got a spell that will work. Step back everyone.”
Pud gets out his fancy new multi tool wand sorta thing and aims it at the knight. He calls out some arcane gibberish and casts Vortex Warp warp on the knight and attempts to teleport them safely to a spot next to the gang.
"Hey, it was worth a try!" Titaani says, trying to cheer Pud up. "I'd offer to turn him into a bird, but if magic doesn't work, then that's just a waste of time. I could throw my boomerang at him, if we tie a rope to it, it could wrap around him as it comes back to me."
She brandishes her boomerang, seeming to think that this is a brilliant idea.
Matilda nods to Titaani...if her sisters plan doesn't work she's planning on casting Jump and giving her original plan a try.....though maybe with a rope tied to her....
"Welp, not much left to do here," Titaani shrugs. "Let's continue on through the castle."
She moves to go back out the doors to the carpet room, where she will wait for the others before continuing north.

Horatio darts a glance at the rug as he deposits his rose. "How are you still able to move when everything else is frozen?.."

Matilda looks the knight and the stones over, " I might be able to jump over and jump from stone to stone to tie the rope to him.....maybe..."

"Can't Pud make you fly?" Titaani asks, wandering over. Ever unfocussed, she has forgotten about her flower and left it in her hair.

Ben:
”We’d best get him to solid ground before attempting to unfreeze him, or he will likely fall to his death,” responds Ben.
”Pud, do you have something in your bag of tricks that can bring Strongheart over here to solid ground?” asks Ben.

Nothing happens. The frozen knight refuses to teleport from its spot...
Pud frowns and refocuses his mind on the knight. Alas, nothing happens.
”Ain’t gonna happen. Looks like magic can’t work on those people frozen in time.”

"Perfect!" Titaani claps her hands excitedly. "Now, does anyone actually have any rope?"
Horatio offers his rope. "Be careful, okay?"
