The stony creature leans back, satisfied. "That'll suffice. Don't go stomping on folks' backs next time!" He leaves in a huff, leaving a five-foot gap between the stones.
A flash of tail flicks out of the water. There are big fish in the murky mire here.
Until now, the Feywild had been strange, but the ground itself had seemed solid. The experience of the stepping stone standing up in a huff was one surprise too many. He felt strange, like he was watching himself in some ridiculous mummers' show. Or maybe he was watching himself dreaming of watching himself in a show. His mouth twitched and he fought to stifle a laugh. It became harder when Ben began singing, and he had to press his hands to his mouth, eyes watering with the effort of containing his laughter, when Titaani joined in, a tiny Garth Arfunkle to Ben's Pols Iman. Then the "stone" swam away, and they were standing in the middle of a swamp, surrounded by frogs with courtly manners, trying to find the hag who had cursed a bunny with a too-long scarf... It was all too much, and the laughter escaped -- first in little giggles that slipped through his fingers, and then, like a bursting dam, in a huge, loud wave of guffaws. Cad bent over and laughed until he couldn't breathe. The laughs stretched out until they were a wheeze, then no air at all, and he inhaled with a loud honk and laughed again. Somewhere in the back of his mind a part of him was worried about madness, but the rest of him just plain couldn't be arsed! He fell to his knees on the stone -- maybe it's a stone, or it could be the Duchess of Squelchham! -- and laughed in hysteria.
Hopping the gap, the party continues across the remainder of the stepping stone causeway.
Following the path of wet grass along the edge of the lake, the party approaches a wooden structure that stands on stilts above the edge of the water. It is topped by a steep, conical roof made of thatch. Smoke curls up from a hole at its apex. Its windows are blacked out, and the air carries the smell of burned wood. A clothesline attached to one corner of the building’s exterior is hung with a variety of frayed, patchwork garments.

Titaani and Ben lead the way up the ramp into the blackened building.
The interior is a charred mess. Hazy smoke hangs over scattered piles of burned and broken shelves intermixed with whatever those shelves contained. Wisps of smoke snake into the air from several spots where smoldering wreckage threatens to ignite.
A distressed bullywug in a leather smock scurries around the room with a bucket of water whose contents spill out over the sides in his haste. He yells in Sylvan,
“Grab a bucket! We have to make sure the fires are out!”
A low workbench—the only piece of undamaged furniture in the room—has three wooden buckets on it. Two of them are filled with water.
Pointing to the buckets, Ben says, “Hurry, let’s help make sure the fire is out!” He grabs the empty pail and passes it back, “Bucket brigade!” he adds quickly, grabbing a full pail and moving towards one of the smoldering embers.
Six of the embers, you suddenly realize, are dangerously mobile – these magical coals skip and bounce around, igniting fires as they go.
(Throwing a bucket of water on a coal requires a successful ranged attack, and the bucket is treated as an improvised weapon. A bucket of water deals 1d6 damage to a coal.)

Ben:
Moving over to the closest ember (his northeast), Ben tries to douse it with the water.
Attack: 11 Damage: 1
He then takes his empty pail and walks back down the way he came to the water's edge, preparing to form the beginning of the bucket brigade. (If someone wants to take it from him and dip it in the water on their turn, he will encourage them).

”Thanks, Titaani,” says Ben, “Not sure where that song came from, but it seemed to work. Let’s keep moving.”
Ben hops over to the next rock and continues to lead the way unless someone else wants to take point.
