((Gray ooze rolled 18. Bot rolled Amotal: 19))

(( Bran and Perner are lined up along a 5x15 ft strip Leasing to the pedestal with green slime on either side. There is room for one more on the strip, assuming others are outside the room looking in? Describe where your characters are as we begin this encounter))

Veil is at the door, still outside of the chamber.

Vinny is also outside the room. I suppose he as equipped a stone in his sling and is readying an attack with the trigger that something attacks.

Zera is outside the room, still not feeling very good and is slow to notice the chest.

Combat order is: Perner -> Amotal -> Gray Ooze -> Vinny -> Bran ->  Zera -> veil

"Zera. Enhancement spells. Veil. The rest of the acid. Vinny, Amotal. Grey ooze. Bran. Grey ooze, try not to melt your hands"

Perner rattles off with barely a trace of his usual accent before once again calling radiance down from the ceiling onto the ooze

The as the radiant flame descends upon it a second time, the Ooze, now alerted shifts and just avoids its scorching energy.

Order: Amotal -> Gray Ooze -> Vinny -> Bran -> Zera -> Veil -> Perner

Amotal notches and arrow and lets fly:

The arrow hits ((16 to hit)) and slices into the ooze ((9hp piercing damage))

The arrow however hisses in the rent made by it and the shaft falls out, the arrowhead having been corroded by the ooze's touch.

The Ooze lashes out at Bran with its pseudopod:

Hit: ((7)) but misses Bran.

Order: Vinny -> Bran -> Zera -> Veil -> Perner -> Amotal -> Gray Ooze

Bran weaves away from the ooze’s attack.  Noting Perner’s warning, he pulls out his quarterstaff and swings back at the creature.

Attack: 19 Damage: 4.

Bran focuses his energy and settles into a patient defense (using 1 ki point to dodge as a bonus action)

Vinny unleashes the stone from his sling at the ooze.

Attack: 21

Damage: 5 bludgeoning

With their simple weapons, Vinny and Bran batter the ooze. At Bran's last blow it jiggles then, as if some power had been holding it together suddenly stopped, the ooze turns more liquid and simply splashes to the floor, slowly being absorbed by the green slime at each side.

While the team is fixated on the slimes and ooze within this most recent room, Veil hears a 'hiss'. Then a *click* as of a door closing.

Turning at the sound, Veil moves in the direction she heard it from, searching for some door or where the sound might have come from.

Veil thinks the sound came from the direction of the center door, the one that had all the the spiders. As she scans about, she also realizes that the silent woman that they had rescued is gone.

As the ooze collapses, Bran steps forward for a closer look at the chest, trying to determine if it is trapped or locked.  “That at least explains why the chest is not made of wood.  I wonder what it is protecting.  Anyone good at cracking these things open?”

Bran does not see any traps or locks. The stone slab that is the lid of the stone  chest looks pretty heavy though.

Vinny will say, “If the room is clear, I’ll help move that slab.”

((To be able to help, one would have to be on each side... there is currently just a path cleared to the front of the chest. Slime coats the floor to either side))
