Drain will return the chess piece and shrug. "It seems to have some value, but doesn't tell me much." He will take a look in the closet assuming his detect magic is still up to see if he spots anything of particular interest.
Under the bed you find.. no dust. Someone does an impeccable job of keeping this place clean, rubble from recently broken walls and ceilings not withstanding.

I hinted at it, but the closet had permanent unseen servant to help with dressing. You'd probably detect it.
The bedroom door by which you entered pushes open to reveal a large lizadd-like humanoid standing in the hallway, familiar to most of the group, though thought dead after a brutal move by a bipolar ally in the Doomvault. It's Sam, though he looks a bit different.
<kind of a Gandalf the White situation. Also, he's a got a cool Glaive. This actually comes from a 4e feature for clerics of the world serpent in the book Primordial Powers, but, I digress. >
Sam with his abilities would possibly be aware of the recently departed demonic duo, but knows little else if what's going on here.
Turning in alarm, Uriel relaxes when one of his companions embraces the newcomer. “It seems you are not unfamiliar to some of us. Greetings, I am Uriel,” he says to the latest arrival.

"Sam!" Trisk can't believe their long time companion is standing right before them. "Hold fast! This is a former companion of ours."
"What happened? Where have you been? How did you get here?" quickly realizing that isn't as important as Sam being here now, seemingly alive and well, "Nevermind that now. It's good to see you again."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
"Sam!" Trisk can't believe their long time companion is standing right before them. "Hold fast! This is a former companion of ours."

“That a story which we have no time to explain, right so what the situation and who” using his new glaive points at the new companions “are these fine companions”
Like a child playing the game, house, Piccolo goes back to the closet, going through various clothing, and trying on different outfits and looking in the magic mirror. (For the one glove she has taken, she takes a small gem out of her back and puts it in the closet. Occasionally, she will play a few notes on her instrument, the run over and try something else on.
Then she starts trying on hats. Her tangled hair looks surprisingly better when she puts on a bright yellow beret.
In the end, she returns, wearing one sequined glove (not both) and a red beret and her dirty beige dress. (She takes out a shiny silver tooth from her bag and places it with the hats.) She smiles as she looks at the group, hoping they will like her new hat.
All assembled, you all went past the first clue to opening all the locked doors. There's one more that will get you the same result, but you've hit a dead end on the map and have to turn back. So that's a small hint. If you want a nudge toward opening the doors, say so.
Otherwise, may I assume you'll head back downstairs? You bypassed a door in the rose rug hall and dudnt do anything with the pool, but otherwise you might try the corner with the beanstalk or return to anything else you might wish. /
Piccolo dances around the room, still bare hoofed, relatively oblivious to the discussion, playing with her new glass rapier. She seems both happy and perhaps bored, waiting for the group to make decisions.
Drain shakes his head. "We have met some interesting beings - the new ruler Kelek and his minions, a monster eating cake, some hags, some demons. I don't remember the name envy but can't say I remember all the names either. "
”Is there some kind of puzzle with clues to opening these doors? This crown may be useful for that, given that it is pictured prominently in several of the door reliefs,” comments Uriel.

(OOC: I did a thread search of Envy, Lion, Crown, here's what I came up with, Trisk said the hart is a deer).
The tiny girl keeps dancing around but begins playing a merry jig on her instrument.
You see an image of a bronze plaque embedded in a flagstone at the gate, and then as if you are looking through the eyes of a familiar, you see what is written on the plaque.
"The lion or the hart must wear the crown.
But which one should it weigh down?"
Piccolo winks at the group, then plays a bit more, showing a Statue of a lion, then you see her climb up on the statue and place the crown on its head.
Then you see the east tower in the garden with another plaque, the word "Envy" on it.
The girl puts her instrument away and keeps stabbing at the air with her tiny rapier, smiling and winking at Trisk.
”That seems like an excellent idea. Let’s try that,” he suggests in response to the vision asking, “Does envy represent anything, or is there perhaps a statue of a deer elsewhere in the castle?”
Drain:

Anyone can post. We're not under initiative.

Drain pauses in surprise and his hands reach for his weapons, only to pause when he sees piccolo hug the beast.

Looking at the girl he gently pats her head know seeing she not as she was during the time in the doom Vault

Did drain happen to notice anything about the doors with the symbols we were unable to unlock when he had his Detect Magic up?
Yeah, but I already said they're magically locked, so yes, he would also know this. It's probably abjuration, so I guess he knows that, top.
Sam pipes up “the doors had a emblems on them one of a lion, have you lot met envy yet”
