"Whats the pond scum owe ya, mates?" Sparhawk continues in a friendly tone. "I don't want my overly enthusiastic friend here with his glowing stick catching anything on fire over here."
Thug 1,3&5 say in unison, “ they are wizards, I ain’t messin with them lot” and the let go of Lir and beat feet. Thug 2 & 4 are not so easily dissuaded and keep demanding Lir pay up while striking him. Thug4 pulls out a mace and turns towards the approaching threat and thug2 hangs onto Lir while pulling a knife
“I’ll gives ya 25 gold for him and 10 more if you leave him in one piece for me” Sparhawk smiles to the brutes. “But if my young friend here starts throwing fire at ya, I gets to kill you for nothing. The choice is yours. There be 5 of us. How ya want to spend yer day?”
Vars crosses his arms and lifts his chin as he looks at the thugs, "You know... there are much more...refined ways to get money from someone. You could just knock him out and take it. That way you wouldn't be making a scene and attracting unwanted attention. Or perhaps he doesn't have the money on him so you can't just knock him out, in which case he won't be able to pay you anyways if he's dead." He shakes his head, "And somehow I doubt the fee for the "privilege to disembark" is something he would have to pay to you. You don't look like guards...heck you just look like petty thieves looking for an excuse to rob someone. ...And you certainly are acting the part as well."
He gives Sparhawk a sharp look when the paladin offers to pay these thugs to let the elf go, "Really? You're just going to pay them for kicking that... sorry looking elf. He got himself into this mess so he should get himself out of it." He sighs, "But, if we are going to help him, we might as well do it the right way." He pulls out his short swords, frowning at the acid-eaten edge of his left-hand weapon. "Stupid slimes," he mutters, getting ready for a fight.

Thug2 says “ ye has a deal, we will hand this un to you for 35g”
"Hey," He looks at Vars smiling, "always give street thugs the benefit of the doubt, some of them know when they are outnumbered"....Sparhawk looks at the two thugs. "Right, I'm done being nice, now run or your crushed skulls will feed some fish." Sparhawk moves in and attacks, his calm and friendly demeanor instantly one of rage and cruelty. (Would love a jump in initiative for suprise if it makes sense, otherwise, he'll just go in swinging.) with dead Bernard's huge Morningstar.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bjorn starts to mutter, "25 gold? I'd say that's extortionate, but I guess it's literally just --"
When Reginald starts casting, Bjorn looks around the docks in that classic criminal manner, and then produces the diamond-bladed throwing axe, Aegweth. Already moving, he barks out an arcane phrase and pulls from the axe a second, shadowy axe. He takes a swing at the nearest man's kidneys with the Shadow Blade, before stepping back and putting some distance (and some Sparhawk) between them.
{EDIT: all I've done is added the text between the brackets here. Let's see if that fixes anything.} Attack: 18 Damage: 13

Thug2 will call out “ the bilge rat needs to pay 25g for the privilege of being allowed to disembark in our fair city”

He walks Lir over to Sparhawk cautiously with #4 backing him up

Lir takes the opportunity in the break in the attack to flop on his front, and curl into a ball, panting painfully.
Sparhawk attacks, "Deals off scum."
Initative : (+7, +3 dex, +4 war wizard [sweet!]) : 11
Cats go Moo!
Reginals will firebolt the Scoundrel #4 backing up Thug #2 23 Damage (1d10 Fire) : 1 (Ignores 1/2 & 3/4 cover)
Cats go Moo!
That was a critical hit so damage is actual 10+5 = 15 (I assuming critcal hits are max + roll)
Cats go Moo!
(good thing you're on our side!)

Not sure initiative.
( next time use the combat tab on the roller so it won’t be confusing.it tabulates Frits and everything. For crit dmg it is double the dice roll)
( portrait order, lol except Frangipani didn’t come through)
Reginald, Frangipani,Vars, Bjorn, Sparhawk, thugs, Lir
