Sparhawk takes third watch. He spends his time pondering how to get Grin'dal and the best way to utilize his friends skills. His night vision sharp and soldier training keeping his senses awake.
(If I'm reading the map right, is the portal just after the river on the road to mirabar? If so, is that near the cave we found, or could the portal be the cave?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC: Sorry, today and yesterday were really busy. We are on the road correct? I will make a perception check so I don't slow anything down...we'll see how it goes lol.)
Through the watches the night gets colder and the flurries become actual snow. Neither Sparhawk nor Vars real notice anything other than the temperature changes. frangipani and Lir in their animals forms and heightened awareness are able to monitor larger swaths of territory around the camp. They pick up several different scents and sounds of various creatures. Some large, some small. frangipani in particular picks up the scent of a small camp further in the rougher terrain heading up the rocky slopes. Smells like a group of goblins. A smell still vivid in her memories from the recent battles. Lir can smell them as well, but is not as familiar with their scent. The damp is a few miles off and there is no indication they are moving or have any idea of your camps location. Frangipani most likely makes a snack of a critter or two on patrol
As the morning sky begins to lighten there is a small covering of snow upon the ground as you prepare to get underway.
Sparhawk pulls Vars aside “How badly do you wanna revisit that cave?” He pauses. We won’t be able to visit it on the way back. Too much risk with the item.”
“Yes, other than our resourceful companions, the rest of us may get cold so best be prepared.” He looks at the group seriously, ”if we find that trading group, we may get more leads on slavers and Mirabar but we should be careful and I sure would t mention our current missions, spy’s are certainly present”. Vars, you had some sort of lead here, werewolf?
“I don’t know, the more I talk about it, the more it sounds dangerous and they may not be there anyway.” He looks at Bjorn, “what do you think, Bjorn?”

Reginald will also take first watch and scribe in Tenser's Floating Disk into his spellbook.
Cats go Moo!
(We can have Vars next as I believe he has dark vision, and Bjorn can take up the early am breakfast shift.)
Sparhawk wakes Vars for his shift. "Ok my friend, all quite so far."
(Post 1093 is the map from Abernaths wall, where is the portal?)

(Not sure what portal you're referencing. There was a keyhole, and when we put a key in it, the wall swung open to reveal a teleportation room.)
Bjorn takes the final watch, but not before complaining about the injustice of having to wake up before dawn.
Perception if needed, with the second roll being in case of darkness-based disadvantage: 9 / 5
(I’m confused, can the tower transport us somewhere and how close to the cave)
Make sure to roll a perception check for your watch
The portal was in Abernaths house which is now obliterated. You could have taken it directly to the tower, but now slow means are required
Sparhawk's watch: 8

“Let’s be sure to grab some warm furs when we see those traders” Sparhawk feels the chill of the cold as the season starts to change.
Lir strips off his seal hide and scrubs the snow into his skin, sighing contentedly.
"No need for me. Save your coin."
