As Bjorn presses the stick into the softened stone, he can feel it slowly giving way. After a bit of effort, the stick pokes through. An orange light creeps around the stick and spiderwebs through the surrounding stone creating fissures. A strong stench of sulphur coming pouring into the hallway, followed by a hoard of small winged beings. Sparhawk is hit with an overpowering presence of evil as a dwarf sized hole opens in the wall.
5 spines devils join you in the tower

Frangipani was rather confused by what was happening in this tower.
" Need me to do anything, Boss?"
" Aargh!"
She stabbed at the nearest critter with her scimitar!
Attack: 20 Damage: 6
When the creatures come out, Sparhawk does NOT rub it in Bjorn's face, he calmly takes out sword and shield and prepares. They'll learn eventually, he thinks to himself.
Frangipani, let's kill these things and see if Abernath is in their lair!"
Bjorn cries out in equal parts fear and frustration, dropping the pole as he sees the devils. In a flash of gold and glitter, his sword springs from its sheathe, nimbly jumping into his open palm.
Green-Flame Blade: 9 for 11 magical slashing damage, and an adjacent devil takes 3 fire damage (in theory, lol).
He steps back as he swings, twisting away behind Sparhawk. (Mobile feat allowing him to cover his retreat.)
Frangipani swiftly strikes into the tough devil hide, the blade not cutting as deep as she expected, but drawing blood just the same.
The little devil was too quick and avoided Bjorns powerful blow, and Bjorn makes a quick move of his own to get behind Sparhawk

Ufeli’s new well spring of confidence fades a bit and he retreats around the corner into the other hallway. “ I am going to check this other room while you throw out those things…”
"Pfah! Spawn of Avernus. Not again!"
Lir unleashes Moonbeam, attempting to catch as many of the creatures as possible in its 5 ft range. Silver light fills the space.
15 Con save. If successful, half damage.
Damage: 5
Eberk whispers a prayer, summoning a spectral mace covered in phases of the moon. It swings down on the nearest devil. At the same time, he swing his warhammer at the same devil.
Spiritual Weapon Attack: 19 Damage: 7
Warhammer Attack: 10 Damage: 3
Sparhawk approaches and attacks with his long sword these spawn of evil: (either the one with 9 damage if alive, or a different damaged one: )

Lir moonbeam causes smoke to rise off their devilish bodies, but doesn’t deter them in their attack. The 4th one flames up a bit more than the others as they cackle with fiendish glee
The shifty devil dodges the moon power magic mace but runs smack into the war hammer strike. It has a solid impact on it’s tough hide breaking off a few of its spiney protrusions
The first spiney devil that Frangipani hit will return the favor and first bite at her then try and skewer her with his devils fork.

Devil 1 is unable to find his target but devil 2 manages to get a taste of Lir.
Devil 3 will launch tail darts, trying to hit Bjorn Attack: 17 Damage: 6 + 2 fire dmg
devil 4 will send his tail darts after Eberk Attack: 17 Damage: 3 + 1 fire dmg
devil 5 will bite and prod Sparhawk with its devil fork while saying “ the blood of the righteous makes the best desserts “

Devil 3 scores success where his brothers failed, the dart embed into Bjorn and flame up with searing heat
Sparhawks swings his sword, but has difficulty hitting their small and speedy forms.
from around the other hallway you hear Ufeli pound on a door and he says loudly “ this door is jammed or something, I am going to try the one on the right!”
