Reginald realizes what Lir just did with the stone, but is at a loss on how to let Bjorn know with out giving away the surprise... Perception for the pin : (+3) : 9 (Passive : 13)
(Yeah it probably gave the door a hard blow, like an impatient giant knocking on the outside - but the moment's passed. Wee bit of 'don't feck with me' from Lir).
(I'm hoping these guys aren't slavers. If they are, I'm not sure what's gonna go down. Sparhawk is a vengeance paladin, and he would consider slavery to be a "greater evil." Hum)
As they enter, Sparhawk is both relaxed and pleasant, but very aware of his environment. In particular, he is looking for trap doors in the floor (Jabba's palace, episode 6). He's wondering about the coincidence of Captain Sorsha leaving so strangely, and Lir saying "She sent me." After Eberk's departure, it may be nice to have some more spiritual guidance if he can get the boys to settle down.
“Greetings kind sir. We are looking for master Thornston. He asked we pay him a visit when we returned to town. I am Sir Sparhawk
Perception on collar for spider pin 16
No pin, or any adornments.
the man Gestures for you all to come in. “ the Baron right over there unpacking his new find. Come along, we will find him amongst the others.”
as you Enter you can see the building is massive. The back wall has 2 sets of stairs leading up to a veranda that surrounds the entire wall with elegant arches leading to other spaces. Near the north wall wall there is a large group of men milling about, unpacking a huge crate. The box stands about 10’ tall and maybe 15’ wide. You surmise it must have been quite the feat to get it here. Then men heave and pull on the side of the crate until it finally peels open .
( you find no evidence of a rancor pit)
” Dietrich! Dietrich! These people are here to see you” the man calls.
From inside the crate you hear “ visitors you say? Send them over, we could use a few extra hands with this”
Seeing no danger, Rankors and no spider web pins, Sparhawk immediately heads over to offer his strength. "Ah, Friend Dietrich, what can we do to lend a hand?" He ushers the group to help as they can.

Vars nods to Sparhawk, eyeing the crate from which the baron's voice had come. He slowly approaches, trying to figure out what these men are trying to do.

Perception (lol): 18
Ad you approach the crate you see Dietrich and several men pulling on ropes attached to the biggest skull you have ever seen. It looks like some sort of reptile skull, dragon like but less refined with teeth the length of daggers.
He waves you over and says " oh good, its you. Lend a hand , let's see if we can get this Tyrano skull out in less than 3 heaves"
Everyone that helping roll a str check for heave #1. It will take a combined score of 175 to get it out
Sparhawk, always watchful of his friends, sees the little elf jump in and help as well as assist Vars, who has had nothing positive to say about him yet. This man is selfless, humble, and a great asset to the party. Perhaps it may help balance out some of the group's arrogance. He feels he can also learn a lesson from his new unusual friend.
He catches Lir's eye and winks and smiles.
(Common Vars, I can't wait to see how you handle this one)

He smiles as he looks at the man.
Frangipani waved over Sparhawks shoulder...

He whispers to vars, “Stay alert”
(He's inside the crate? Lol)
Seeing a far better than average exchange rate of muscular effort to social status, Bjorn gladly approaches the men. "Installing a statue..?"

Frangipani bounced on her heels with intense interest....she did not offer to help.
(Last time she saw this guy, she fainted!)

Sparhawk, hoping to do better than when he tried to move the boulder. He asks Frangi for her blessing quietly and gives a good heave (guidance?)

(Beat that Bjorn!!)
Frangipani casts Guidance. ( retroactively)
Seeing an opportunity to make an impression on the baron and the party, Lir casts Enhance Ability / Bull's Strength on Vars.
(Oh, I like it!!!)
(Thanks Frangipani)
Lir is a weak boy though, and does his best to add his paltry strength to the task - (strength 8)
