Vars covers his eyes with one hand for a moment, muttering something when he realizes that Sparhawk does intend to keep this crazy elf with them for now. Dragging his hand down off his face before letting it fall to his side he says, "He at least needs to stay outside when we talk to the Baron. After that..." He eyes Lir, then trails off shaking his head. "Lets just get moving."
Sparhawk looks at Vars, “I respect your opinion friend Vars. But if I wish for Lir to be in our group, he is. He is my guest. If the Baron has a problem with Lir, he has a problem with me and I wouldnt wanna work for him. Bjorn and Vars, if you don’t want Lir here to enter, I’m not going in either.” Sparhawk seems annoyed his leadership is being questioned
“If you got a problem with Lir, we can deal with that later. If you have a problem with me, we can deal with that now. By the way, did it occur to you that Lir could be helpful in your cave? Last I checked, I’m not the best swimmer. “
Vars throws his hands into the air, "Fine, you're the Captain so if you think its a good idea to bring this crazy elf we just scooped up off the docks in with us I won't argue anymore." He huffs, he hadn't thought about Lir helping in the cave. He hadn't considered the pool to be important, instead assuming the treasure was back past where the slimes were. Either way, the biggest thing that is going through his head is that now he'd have to split the findings with two extra people...both of whom have yet to prove their worth and on of which seemed out of his mind.
He crosses his arms, "Whatever. If we are going to see the Baron, lets just go already. We're losing daylight." Then he goes quiet, moving to walk beside Bjorn and keeping the rest of his comments to himself.
Sparhawk nods at Vars. "No worries my friend. We all have to feel like we can speak our minds. All of us found eachother as misfits, with few if any friends. If a homeless spiritual elfs goddess told him to follow us and with our friend Eberk gone, who are we to argue? We can use a goddess on our side." He looks at the elf. "Besides, did you see him make that guy freeze in his tracks?" Sparhawks puts his hands over his head like big rabbit ears and acts as if frozen in place. "If he had been around for Bernard or even maybe the minotaur, that's quite a gift his goddess has given him. Besides, he doesn't talk much. We'll see if he can earn our trust, I'm not there yet."
He looks back at Vars and smiles, "Hey, you're my first mate. Let's go make some money with this mangy lot. Alright you scallywags, lets get to work." He starts to head into the warehouse.
As they enter the warehouse, he nudges Vars and whispers, "Think the new guy even understands money? I bet you could trade 'im a bag of fish toenails for his share of the loot."
You head over to the large doors to the fancy warehouse. The doors are locked, but there is a large rope made from nice silk strands dangling next to them with a sign that says ring for service.
", Bjorn, Your highness would you be so kind as to do the honors, as I know you require service." Sparhawk smiles. "Everyone be relaxed but stay sharp."

Lir taps on Bjorn's shoulder, gives him an unnaturally large smile, and palms an ordinary looking pebble into his hand. Nods. Steps away.
Bjorn struts up to the silk rope, and then realizes he's holding something. He inspects the pebble, while one hand makes sure his weapons are still in place. Finding nothing interesting about the pebble aside from its location, he tosses it aside. Could this Lir be another grifter? He thinks to himself. Maybe Reginald is? Maybe they're even partners in crime. That would make more sense than a random meeting...
He rings the bell, lost in thought for a moment. What's the angle, though? Why show their hand like this?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vars gives an almost unnoticeable look of surprise to Sparhawk before saying, "Hmm, yes... Yes, lets get going." His mood seems to have lightened up, but he almost seems troubled for by this turn of events. This doesn't last long though, as he quickly regains his usual overconfident and commanding presence. He looks at the group with newfound...not interest, but responsibility perhaps? It is unclear, though it is obvious that some of the storm clouds have lifted...for now anyways.
When Bjorn pokes fun at Lir, Vars stifles a chuckle before saying... "Perhaps he'll accept us letting him stay with us as payment enough for now. Our wizard at least has a purpose, we know he's got some skills even if they've been stuck up in a tower for a while." He glances at Reginald before looking back to Bjorn...and noticing Lir's unnerving smile. Frowning, he watches as the sea elf backs off before continuing, "That one... if we were on a ship he'd be swabbing the deck. Unfortunately that isn't a job position we have open, so we'll have to figure out something else for him to do." As he says this, his tone isn't as judgmental or as rude as it had been...rather, he seems more thoughtful at the moment.
However, he does whisper to Bjorn so as not to let the others hear, "Regardless, I agree. I don't think the baron is going to appreciate us bringing a crazed elf with us to our business deal. Its not professional."
(We also have some magic beans!....druid spell on that stone). Sparhawk seeing Bjorn toss the stone, quietly walks and picks it up. He nods to Lir, as if it is a great honor (genuinelly). He places the stone in his pack for now and winks at Frangi. "I can hear you muttering over there. The last time we met with this guy, we were all a disaster. Frangipani was eating something from the ground, Vars, you were letting a guy who lives here know that there are pirates in town! Bjorn, you're always up to some ridiculous scheme. Fir fits right in. Heck, we could probably join the circus with our crew. So, save your bullying for those who deserve it, the man owes us his life, and if he wants to repay us with loyalty, friendship, and magic, I'm good with that."
A few moments after pulling the rope, you can hear the shifting of a bolt inside the door and it creaks open. A shortish human man in simple workers clothes greets you with a big smile.
Lir shakes his head in the negative and steps back to the rear of the group.
Sparhawk raises an eyebrow, pondering if he disrespected Lir in some way but lets it go for now. Some people, cultures, and races do not shake hands.

Frangipani curled up into her humanoid form and burped sightly, " Stop being silly, lets go talk to whatshisnostrils."
She turned to stare at Lir for a moment, " Curious."

Stealth (if needed): 13
(For DM or Bjorn to consider - how far away was the stone tossed? Within 60 feet, 10 to hit / 8 )
(Lol, I was actually thinking of bouncing it off the front door. It's a Magic Stone?)
(Yup)
