Salamir, it takes you a minute, but since you are the first one down, you see some goblin tracks in the sandy soil, going back and forth. You do see one set of tracks that is larger, humanoid, wearing boots.
There is a passageway to the east that appears to open into a larger space, in different directions, but also more notably a larger cavern going west. You think that you can barely see a small flipped over crate adjacent to a small campfire there, but that is all you see.
Has everyone come down now?

"Whoa, this coat is something else.. and look! another gold nugget. I'm surprised this cavern isn't mined more..." Once she has the coat on, (as mentioned before) she follows Salamir down and looks around.
She heads over to the campfire, seeing if there is anything around that area, "So, which way do we want to go?"
Javier follows…. Keeping his eyes peeled at the rear. “Hmm larger tracks could be a host of things. A Bugbear perhaps or even a large orc or Hobgoblin. Goblins do follow individuals like that after all.”
Garth nods at Javier's remark, then pulls out the hat, looks at the cloak, and asks, "From the tracks and their things, can anyone tell how big or Farmer was?"
Garth you get an idea that the size is dwarvish, more or less.
Salamir, the tracks go back and forth, east and west. They look like they are a day or two old, hard to be exact.
Belkaria, as you walk toward the campfire and overturned crate, you also see a burning torch in a holder on the wall, and out of the corner of your eye as you look up you see some rapid movement near that area, you have the distinctive feeling that you are being watched. You are still 20 feet away but you see a set of playing cards on the crate.

All, as you walk away from the hole and look at the tracks, you hear a distinctive giggle and “Hee hee hee!” from above you. As you quickly look up, you see a bubbly 18 inch (or so) tall creature with a big grin untie your rope and let the end fall down to you. They look at their friend of similar stature and laugh, giggling like madmen, and then pop out of your sight, unseen.

(Lol, that's funny. Welp, looks like we'll need to find another way out!)
Belkaria watches as the rope falls, her mood seems to drop a bit with it. Looking around, it doesn't look like there is going to be an easy way out of here. She continues over to the campfire, seeing if she can tell how many were possibly playing cards, and anything else she can find in the area.
Looking around more closely, Garth realizes it might not be a mine but a natural cavern. He grunts, "If not a mine, then I'd wager the goblins have a way out. Knew we should have questioned that prisoner."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Salamir hears the giggling and watches the rope fall. "Well that is unfortunate, tricksy things aren't they?", he says trying to cover his discomfort at potentially being trapped. Garth was right though, there must be other ways out, there were too many tracks down here.
He moves forward with the others towards the crate, scanning the shadows and listening intently.
"Doubt they'll ever leave us alone," Garth says, as he casts about the cavern. Raising his voice he adds, "Though it's be might nice if they told us what they want."
If dwarf tracks are found, Garth moves that way, otherwise he follows the path away from the cave sprite. Once again creeping ahead of the party.
Stepping out from behind a small boulder you see a goblin with his hands up in the air. He has a scimitar on his belt and there is a short bow on the ground, but he holds his hands up in a surrendering manner as you approach. He appears to be alone. You see that he was playing solitaire with the playing cards, on the crate.
Speaking in a high pitched squeaky voice, he says “Don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me! I surrender! My name Tark, you big & powerful, I just sittin here, don’t standsa chance! Please, don’t hurt!”

Lowering his bow, Garth backs away a little and stands He looks around at the area, suspicious that there might be more goblins. "Fair enough. We will not harm you, if you give us no reason to." Returning his eyes to the goblin he nods once, "Follow me."
He starts backing up the corridor, in the direction of his companions. "What are you doing here, Tark, and has anyone passed this way recently?"
Tark says “They make me stay in here to guard since that dwarf came tumbling down from the roof. Stinky dwarf. I watchin that hole and playing cards to pass the time. Stuck in big cavern near the latrine. Big boss says I gotta stay here. I know he doesn’t like me.” He points to the northwest portion of the cavern where there is a pit that apparently functions as a latrine.

Javier has a somewhat disgusted look on his face at the thought of the latrine being so close before clearing his throat and turning to the goblin. “You said big boss? Who and what is he? And is the dwarf still alive, being held captive perhaps.” His voice is soft and his eyes show concern.
Tark looks to each of you, trying to be helpful. “Sawtooth is big boss. He scary, once I told him that if we didn’t try to take gold from them, maybe people wouldn’t shoot us with pointy arrows. He threw me in a mud pit for that one, made me stay there a few days.”
He looks nervous, squirming a little as he looks you over. “Maybe, maybe if I show you where Sawtooth is, you let me go free? You help me, I help you, whatcha say?”

Javier nods “good work and impressive acrobatics hmm? So we push onwards in our search…” he gestures for his familiar to hop onto his shoulder.

Hlin also heads down and firmly grasps her shield in case of danger. "Shall we look for the person who fell?"
“Careful”, Salamir says. “these are goblin tracks”, he adds motioning to the tracks.
He follows after Belkaria to the campfire, keeping alert for danger.
”These tracks here are likely the best ones to follow”, he says pointing at the larger booted tracks.
(OOC: which way do the boot tracks go? And how recent?)

Garth walks over to the fallen rope, slowly coiling it and reattaching it to his pack.
"This is a mine. They didnt carry the ore out up that hole."
He casts around, looking for tracks that might belong to a dwarf. "Let's see if we can find the owner of that cloak, shall we?"
