Brac wades out after Barden, knowing that the first time they tried to set this rope up it was a bit tricky. He grabs the chest before heading into the water.
Looks a bit confused, but mostly just relieved that the fight is over. "Well... I guess that's that then. No one's hurt or anything?" Having previously tossed aside the fizzling torch, Elyot instead fills the Lantern, Hooded latched to his belt with some oil, and lights it. Joining the others over by the water's edge to see how everyone's doing.

Alhorn makes his way to the center of the river, as he nears the end of the rope, he takes a quick glance around to make sure everyone is accounted for, he also checks to make sure his own belongings are secured and intact.
"How are you doing halfling? do you need any assistance?" he asks Elyot. As his stature may make things more difficult for him.
"Is everyone else doing alright with the rope" he asks the rest of the group
"We are nearing the end of our rope, Hahaha" he laughs with the deepest part of his belly. "We are about to get a little more wet"
Alhorn looks around at the rope and tugs on it as well to try and make sure it is going to hold
Galfaen brings up the rear, musing about the other humanoids the turtles had observed. It would be unfortunate to encounter hostiles now, with his magic depleted - but at least once across the river they might have more room to manoeuvre. Still, the same could be said for any potential foe.
(If it is possible, he will collect the rope and pitons as he goes)
Brac begins his swim across the river. It was was a bit awkward with the chest but it was only light so he manages ok.
"Well at least it gives me a chance to wash all of the frog off me hahaha. I am almost across, there isn't too much of a current so everyone should be fine!"
Elyot watches as the others swim across the river, putting out his lantern in order to prepare for the climb. Instead, he touches a golden braided cord around his wrist, which makes it shed a bright golden glow in a 5-foot radius, and dim light for another 5 feet. Which helps him see just enough in order to catch up with the others. Rather reluctantly hopping into the stream, despite this, the Halfling proves a rather swift swimmer, as he eventually makes it across.
"So what's the plan once we get across? Should we get some rest or just keep going?"
(Elyot has one of his Magic Tinkering charges imbued to his braclet, I don't think you can link it here in the forums. But it's on his sheet.)
"I think we should rest, at least for a little bit" Alhorn replies to Elyot, "Would be nice to recharge after that battle and swim, wouldn't you guys agree?"
Glanced up towards the towering Firbolg while trying to at least somewhat pat himself dry. "Eugh... Cobber, what does that even mean?" His gaze trails down to the glowing bracelet. "You mean this? Well I made it myself!" Displaying a toothy grin, something the seamster was rather proud of. "I can do it to pretty much anything. Gotta be real small though." Elyot nods eagerly, tapping the bracelet once more makes the golden glow shift into a soft blue shade instead. "If anyone's still hurt, I could probably path you up."
"I am happy to continue also. We have limited time to get this chest to where it needs to go.....my arm is still a bit painful from that frog though so if we dont rest then I could use that patch up please fella." Brac sticks his arm out towards Elyot.

"No worry, then we'll continue unless anyone else have any objections." Elyot nods, walking over to Brac in order to examine his arm. "Right, so this might sting a bit. But nothing a big guy like you can't handle, ey?" The Halflings gives an encouraging nod while rummaging through his pack, pulling out a wooden box filled with sewing supplies. Among the supplies is a tiny palm-sized scarab made of brass which he taps with his needle. A moment passes before the strange contraption stirs to life, skittering about Elyot's palm on it's own before passing it onto Brac's arm. Within just a few seconds, the scarab has both cleaned and stitched up the wound, before returning to Elyot. Cure Wounds5
"No objection here, lead the way" as Alhorn stays in the middle of the pack. He takes his torch out and lights it up providing bright light for about 20ft

The Firbolg looked at Elyot like he'd just asked the craziest question in the world. "Like friend, my companion! 'spose only folks from my village say it like that." Swishing his head from side to side, he dried his mop of a head before pulling out another torch. Off we go. "Keep an eye out, my friends. We cannot be jumped by any more monstrous tiddalik!"
Galfaen's face is illuminated by the flame in his hand, and unlike some of the others, he shows no signs of weariness. He carries his shield easily on his arm and scans around periodically, as alert to danger as possible for the party's pace. Whilst another encounter with aggressive fauna cannot be ruled out, it is two legged monsters that gives him most cause for concern.

Athletics Roll: 13 + 4 = 17
Alhorn looks around to make sure nothing was left behind, "I will say it again, I sure hope this holds!" he says with a bit of optimism.
He heads to the rope and starts the journey across!

Alhorn, Bardan, and Brac expertly sets the pitons and strings the rope to to span the river.
The party may now cross.
When reaching the middle of the river, the party members will need to swim as its too deep to stand.
(how does swimming work? is that a kind of check or something else?)
Your just swim at half speed There is no check just some descriptions of the river if anyone wants to role play there journey across the river

His eyes flickered briefly to adjust to the new source of light. He was yet to take the plunge, and seemed hesitant to.
Pinching his fingers around his nose, he slowly plodded through the river while the others sped ahead of him.
Pracically sputtering up onto the shoreline, the old man stuck a finger up. "We have.. j-just begun. We March for a few more hours."
"Where did you get that light, Cobber?"
