The little box is in better conditions than the larger one, but still has sings of rustiness. Itis made of iron. It has a lock that keeps it closed. When Gorm lift it it is heavier than she had thought and she can hear some metallic things clicking to each other when she moves it.
(Clicking to each other like talking in a weird clicking language? Or more rattling around loose?)
Bringing the box up closer to her ear, Gorm tries to get a better sense of what she is hearing inside it. She is not usually the cautious type but she worries this may be as delicate as the papers…
Continuing to keep watch from the high ground, Logan waits until Gorm is finished with the hit before moving on. He is concerned that the chain may be unusual or even magical…then wonders what might be inside the mine that requires such a powerful restraint.

While waiting for the Doctor to arrive and look at the papers, Gorm pulls out a handaxe and tries working at the lock to try to open the box. She has no lock picking skills but perhaps she can break the lock?
Gorm tries to hold the small box in a hand, which is pretty hard not it doesn’t fit quite well in just one hand. Then she tris to turn it a little bit to offer her other hand a god swig at the lock. She hits it with her scimitar but she does it so hard that her other arm cannot hold the box, which falls over Gorms’s feet smashing her toes.
"Under attack from dropping things on our feet, yes," Gorm confirmed. "Fine. I am fine... Just found some stuff and waiting for the Doctor to check it out."
“Ahbut be careful you might damage the contents” Dr A says with a smile before examining the contents. The question is can Dr A understand any of the script
Dr A. examines the papers with care and expert touch. The larger ones seems to be maps of the layout but the ink on them are long erased and despite a few lines here and there they cannot make nothing of them.
The book is better kept, and despite the many holes caused by the moths and other bugs there are some runes in clean and tidy lines. Dr. A. doesn't recognize the language but it is no hard to conclude that it is written in darwish.
- I can read the tongue of the stout folk - says Thandril - Allow me please - he says when Dr. A. inform the others of its findings.
- Hmmm It seems to be some sort of list of miners... a registry of their working hours and how much they must to be payed for it. It seems that someone named Glaim asked for an advance... several times, so he will receive a lesser pay. It seems that there is some kind of registry of how much ore and silver were mined too, but that part is too damaged to make any sense... -
Unless Thandril speaks up with some talent with locks, Gorm will try to just bust the box open. She tries to be careful enough to not damage whatever is inside but is being less worried about damaging the box itself obviously...

"Ybbah!" Gorm shouts out, all but slamming the box down and hopping around on one foot for a minute.
Fine, she thinks. I will wait until the doctor is here. Maybe he will have a better idea of how to open it.

Gorm shakes the smaller metal box gently. “Anyone skill with locks or should o just force this open before we go?”
Logan:
”I have not that kind of skill,” replies Logan, “Perhaps you will need to force open the box if a key cannot be found.”
