On a back wall somewhere, you see raised glyphs of different magnitudes. Where as all of the glyphs you have seen so far are completely alien, these glyphs contain more recognizable symbols. To your horror, the glyphs are a spell. It contains the words "Flesh and the Power it Holds." Any caster could learn this spell.
While you don't learn anything about the dead god itself, you get a horrible, terrible sense of foreboding towards anyone or anything that would be able to learn this spell...and cast it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
At your feet, you notice that as you're reading the glyphs, a red mist begins rising from the floor. You find it hard to breathe, and darkness creeps at the edge of your vision.
Making a d4 roll: 2
Whew. The mist passes as you instinctively turn away, your focus returning.
Turning around Ugg looked at his companions with his sword held high and a wild look in his eyes.
"This thing is magnificent, we should all worship it. If you try to make any omelettes with those beautiful egg things I will stop you with the might of my sword!"
Ugg then began to watch them for any indications they may endanger the creature while his eyes keep drifting longingly towards the glowing red object.
(Do I need to do some sort of roll for perception to see how well I can focus on both the group and the red thing?)
The organ that he touched earlier today SEEMS to be linking with Ugg - giving him a complete sense of euphoria. It's as if they want to join with each other...? The organ and the eggs. They must be protected. We must join with it.
Phil mutters “Oh sweet mother of Pan... LUNAE LUMOS MAXIMUS!”
A pale 5 foot wide cylinder of radiant light shines down from the ceiling of the room and gently surrounds the organ and the half-orc. Whatever’s in the light radius must make a 13 Con save, succeed resaults in half damadge.
Damadge: 11
The beam lasts one minute, and creatures in the light every 10 seconds must do the con roll again
Ugg is completely unfazed by the light, especially with that nat20 roll. When the light clears, something terrible has happened. The organ is burnt, and on Uggs arm is a horrible tentacle engulfing his entire appendage. You sense another consciousness in your mind, Ugg, and learn a number of new things. The red-glowing organ is the heart of an ancient humanoid priest named Ix'athog Naar, who worshipped the god when it was alive and entombed within this cyclopean structure. The high priest was so powerful that his essence was ensouled within the alien weapon.
The Kosh T'nah of Ix'athog Naar is, indeed, an artifact of enviable power. You now gain the following abilities:
- (A) Once per day, you can stop time for 2d4 rounds. - (B) Three times a day, you can create an egg like the ones in the room, but waving your arm over a corpse. - Your arm constantly emits a red glow that you cannot hide. This is more narrative. - (C) When you use your arm with a weapon you're wielding in the same hand, when you score a hit, you can choose to instantly kill whatever creature you hit. - Whenever you use ability A, B, or C - you take 3d6 permanent damage that CANNOT BE HEALED/RECOVERED IN ANY MANNER.
You are now on the verge of becoming one with many horrors of the universe. Most actions you take consume the very fabric of your being for you to remain "you". We will see how this plays out. Sadly, you have also gained 1 insanity point.

Hamhock looks at Ugg in shock and states the obvious, “Ugg, yer arm... it’s turned into a tentacle! Guess ye won’t let ol Hamhock fry up one of those eggs now!”
“But, what about that heart...” Hamhock whispers to himself as he approaches it cautiously and pokes at it with his quarter staff, “is this thing still alive? Burnt to a crisp it is.”
“Oh my these eggs would make a beautiful omelette!” Hamhock muses as he casts good berry and distributes two to each member among the group.
OOC:
Crispy I chose Monstrosities as my favored enemy, is this beast a monstrosity?
It sure is. What does goodberry do?
As Hamhock pops a good berry in his mouth he surveys the area attempting to find information that may be critical to defeating the dead god.

Ooc: Using Favored enemy, advantage on wisdom and intelligence against monstrosities.
That is a mighty roll. Nat20!
You discover something terrible.

“Achhoooo!”
“That felt like cayenne right up me nose!”
“Did you lot see that mist?!” exclaims Hamhock.

Hamhock goes over to Ugg to examine him and gain an understanding of his affliction.

Your urge to touch the organ is overwhelming. One of us. One of us.
You touch it.
