Berrus: You’re a bit steamy after leaving that building, and you can’t really concentrate when trying to observe your surroundings. You feel like you’re getting a lot of shifty side eyes, but that just might be your annoyance influencing you.
Kor and Ab:The terrified boy starts rambling- “The only real illegal market here in town would probably be through us, but that’s more pawning stuff and getting old dusty jewelry and vases and stuff, for those stuffy art types that like antiques from old ruins and tombs. The black smith or Lion’ might have iron lockpicks, but they probably wouldn’t sell unless they trusted you. And that bimbo elf’s shrine doubles as a apothecary, I bet she’d sell poisons and god knows what else to scrape by.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mav looks at Halia, "We will think about it. But in the mean time, we need to know where Gundren might be. Is there anything you can tell us about Wave Echo Cave. Or maybe a different thing we could do for you in exchange for the information?"

Mav: Halia swivels her head and focuses with laser precision on Mav. She looks like an angry librarian or school teacher, minus the offputting eyes. “Here’s two free samples, Wave Echo is beyond your current skill level. Do my job, and maybe a few of the other towns people, and maybe you won’t be rushing into suicide. And, two, if you are even able to find anything about it here, it’s cryptied in a language only I and my associates know. Do the job, save the children, be the hero. It’s pretty suspicious you are all putting so much fuss over one evil man, it would make the towns people wonder where your loyalties lie if it got out.” She blandly states, and with a flick of her hand the world goes back to normal and you can hear the sounds of the town outside.
”Do it or don’t, I’ll know either way. Sleep on it, just know the more time you spend dilly dallying, the more unspeakable atrocities are happening in that manor to innocent people.”
Upon hearing this, Mav nods and turns to leave. Upon seeing Berrus outside, "Let us grab a drink at the inn and discuss what we have learned. Maybe AB and Kor have better information to work on. I don't know how I feel about simply taking out an entire gang..."

AB: “Oh-Ah-Yeah, we usually hang out around here. Call for Jake and the Boyz. Peace.” They try to swagger there way back to the bar, but kinda just look ridiclous in their sagging pants and red bandanas.
Inn: The Stonehill Inn is a comfy tavern that really captures the towns rustic miner vibe, shiny wooden tables, soft lantern lighting, and busty tavern wenches all greet you, giving off a dinstictly home-y vibe. A check in with the Toblen Stonehill confirms that Sildar is stable, and unconscious in a bed up top. Patrons fill the tables around you, and merry conversations are heard all around. It seems this place has escaped the gloom that the rest of the town seems to be under.
Walking toward the inn, AB says to Kor, "Thanks for helping me out back there. I mean, I had it completely under control, but I think the two of us working together was a good plan." Looking Kor up and down, AB says, "Nice disguise." He wiggles one plump finger at the thinner human's face. "Didn't you just have one eye before?"
"Maybe not the best start, but the recovery went well," he continued, "The eye patch helps when you don't want to be remembered, but you have to do so worth remembering. They remember the guy with eye patch, you take it off, maybe change your hair color or length, and now they look right past you."
Pausing for a second, Kor says, "Out of curiosity, what your original plan there?"
"My original plan?" AB laughs a hearty laugh. "Oh, you wouldn't believe it. So in depth, I tell you! Plots and subplots. Intrigue. Mystery. Much too much to go into here, my friend!"
Valathar orders drinks and food for his companions. He wasn't much help with the women, her eyes made him uncomfortable, and the magic made it worse. After finishing his order, he heads back to their table, and waits for the food to be brought out. "So, what are we going to do then? I don't much like the idea of murder, even if it will help the people of the town. Any chance you think the man's open to reason? Send him off to some other town? Or simply convince him to let this all be?" Valathar's tone wasn't encouraging, but he felt a little lost. He'd spent most of his life learning about healing, helping people and tending his garden. All this political stuff was new.
"I wonder if AB and Kor had any more luck? Maybe they found out where Wave Echo Cave is. Or better yet, where Gundren is."
Sorry I've been quiet recently. Work was busy the last couple of days, and I was out with the family today. I'm around all night, and she be around all day tomorrow as well!
Ab and Kor are able to walk into the Inn with Little fanfare or hostility. Even the non-humans sitting at the table are barely getting any suspicious looks. The towns people are merry and intoxicated, and as the party gets settled down, they can see and hear many tid bits of information.
A pair of elderly men in a seated next to you see loudly conversing and your party can easily over hear them taking about ‘Sister Garaele, that elf priest had a nasty burn wound on her neck she was trying to cover.
A couple of tables down, an old man missing a leg and an arm is staring unashamedly at the party
Those two are the most readily obvious things going around at the bar. There is many people in the inn, all enjoying themselves and temporarily escaping their days and responsibilities with friends.
Kor laughs at the ranger and then dismisses Mimi to her pocket dimension not wanting the owl to draw attention in the daylight. On the way to the inn, he steps into another abandoned building and changes into his travel clothes, donning his signature eye patch once more.
Once the two reach the inn, Kor explains what they learned about Rhit and the reclusive head of the gang.
AB sits up, grabbing the dice, and tossing them around in one meaty palm. "You've finished your original part of your employment, correct? The goods were delivered. It seems to me since your employer has been kidnapped, you'd want to save him." He says the next part under his breath, "You all seem to be that kind of group." Then, back at normal volume, "The ... goblins ... told you he's been taken to 'the King' at some secret castle. Have we heard anything about a king or castle since we've been here?"
