"Payment for your services? Weren't you in service to Gundren?" Valathar growls through his pain, raising his head to look across the cavern at Ab. Valathar again pushes himself to his feet, the sound of rock on rock crunching through his dark green toes.
"Ignore him? I don't think so. He contracted us to bring his goods to Phandelver, and if I remember correctly, you were contracted to guard him. It sounds quite a bit like you've sold him out to these creatures.." Valathar takes a step forward, approaching Ab. Standing his full height, he looks from Ab to Yeemik. "And you, we've done your dirty work, where's our man? What have you done with him?"
”You were a great help back there friend, a formidable fighter, what is your name? Maybe we can all negotiate something together?” Mav turns to Ab and tries to calm the situation between everyone. “Everyone is tired and hurt. Yeenik, could you be a gracious and get us all a little ale or water. We can all talk together and celebrate the new leader of the Cragmaw Clan!” Mav again is trying to keep everyone calm. The fighting is over and there is no need for more violence.
AB turns to face Val, again scowling. "What are you on about, Dragonborn? I don't know who this Gundren is. I was hired by these Goblins to do a job. I did it. Now I want to be paid." Turning to face Mav, he performs what would almost be considered a curtsy. "Abraham Arrak at your service," he says, a huge grin making his eyes twinkle. Finally, he turns back to face Yeemik, the smile disappearing. "Ahem!"
Yeemik scowls at the party of adventurers, all talking fast, and over each other.
”Queit you lot! Clan Cragmaw is no more. We are now breathern in clan Venommaw!”
A wild cheer erupts all around you, a practically explosion of sound shaking the very walls of the cave. Those goblins not celebrating are quickly swallowed into the crowd of their more exuberant kin, a second goblin celebration starts to unfold around you. Yeemik scowls, but a glint of grim pleasure shines in his eyes despite his large frown.
“Any debts or payments owed by Cragmaw are void as of now, the only reason you’re getting the bodyguard is because it was a personal Yeemik promise” A particularly cruel glint of something flashed in his eyes before he waved his hand in casual dismissal.
“Whatever you’ve already looted, the mutt, and your lives are you’re payment. Oh and I’ll throw in a little info, since you seemed to struggle with Klarg. The Dwarf was delivered to the King some moons ago. The location of the Castle is a secret for those with the power to pursues it, not for me or my boys to tell you weak lot. I’m sure you’ll eventually find out if your motivated enough. Now get out of my sight, we’ves have to pack up and leave before dawn breaks.”
"Ah, well, yes. I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else. Pleasure to meet you then." Valathar visibly deflates, hunching a little as he apologises to Ab. He'd just assumed Ab was the man Gundren had hired as his guard, kept prisoner here. He'd only known Gundren a short time, but Valathar had a nasty habit of creating unnaturally strong bonds with people who were kind to him, and Gundren was always so friendly.
"You," Valathar again turns to Yeemik. "Pay this man what you owe him, then tell us where you've taken Gundren. Time is of the essence!" Valathar is instant that the goblin answer his question.
"Yeah," AB says, standing a little taller after Valathar's encouragement, "pay this man what you owe him." He edges just a little closer to the green Dragonborn and holds a beefy hand out to Yeemik, palm up.
OOC: Did we take a short rest before Yeemik arrived?
“Ive already named my, rather generous, rewards to you imputant brats. Now get out of my sight before I rescind the part about your lives being in tact. I don’t like having to break my word, but I don’t like smart asses more.
And before you try anything with dynamite like I can see your dwarf obviously motioning to, just know that goblins can easily borrow out of holes, and have long memories for a short lived race.”
Yeemik gestures to the cult behind him, and several goblins armed with scimitars and shields step up as an obvious intimidation factor.
Put your spoiler here.
No to the short rest. It was literal minutes after the fights conclusion.
AB grins at the intimidation. "Alright, alright. We're going." He looks around the room and then asks out of the side of his mouth to Val, "How do we get out of here? I was ... um ... indisposed when they brought me in here."
Valathar makes for the furnace chimney the party ascended just minutes ago. “Climb down the rope, out the room, follow the water down stream to the cave’s enterance. I’m right behind you.”
Valathar turns back to scan the room for the she-wolf. “We’re going, but I want that wolf alive!” Valathar gestures to Yeemik. “It’s the least you can do for our help.”
Assuming you all followed this path, 4 armed goblins arrive about 2 minutes after you all reach the cave mouth. The She-Wolf’s neck is wrapped in a heavy metal link collar, and is currently being half chocked/dragged towards the party, her one working she darting around wildly, and her chest rising and falling in crazed hyperventilation. The goblins wordlessly Hand Val the chain leash, and watch the party with wary, dark beady eyes.
Ab, before the cave mouth happened, and you were still in Yeemik’s audience, you feel something violently slap your hands away when you try to take the dynamite, but you see nothing. When you look up, Yeemik is glaring at you with a look of pure contempt, and a slightly raised hand.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Stumbling out with the rest of the crew, Kor makes sure to stay well clear of the wolf who's lease Val is holding in trembling hands that also seem to be barely grasping on to his life. That loot I grabbed from Klarg's room had better be worth all this.
"We're dead on our feet here. We should find a place to take quick break to patch ourselves up a bit." Kor says to the group. Despite, or maybe because of, his wounds, Kor stays alert for any signs of treachery from the goblins as they make their way back to the cart.

OOC: I put the items in my inventory. We should do a short rest though, 3/5 of us are at 1Hp and I'm pretty sure AB isn't much better.
Couldn't undo the italics on the last bit for some reason.
