"Ahem" Stonegrin cleared his throat as the rather pushy woman ushered them inside. "...We found your supplies in the possession of a band tribe of Goblins, after we dispatched their leader Klarg the bugbear. I am sure the shipper of your supplies apologizes for the inconvenience in that they did not hire enough guards to protect them on such a dangerous road" Stonegrin's voice was matter of fact, and hinted at the fact that maybe the woman show some gratitude.
"Some apology." She quips. "Nevertheless, I've got my delivery, thanks to you. It's only right that you get paid for your trouble." She tosses you a bag of 50gp (to be split equally)
"If you decide to stay in town for any amount of time I'm sure you'll find more! Trouble, that is..." she nods toward the heavy crossbow she used to greet Mitsu. "Between the disruption in trade and the Redbrands, it's all I've got to defend my business. Can't be too careful these days."
Stonegrin hefts the bag of gold in his hand, "Thank ye, we were happy to be of service. There is another matter, I'm looking for axe, do you happen to have any in stock I might purchase?"
Without a word she turns, walking to an upright set of shelves, removing a canvas covering.
Beneath the canvas cloth, you see a variety of shapes and sizes of axe. Some more aesthetic than others, but none strike you as uncommonly exceptional.
Stonegrin immediately see's what he wants, "This, basic, hefty" he takes it down off the shelf. it's a simple twin headed battleaxe, nothing fancy about it at all. "How much for this?"
Meleager is at comfort in this shop, divides the coins and he is admired by the middle aged woman.
after having seen the weapons, he don’t need any, he asks:
you inow, together with your provisions we rescued a certain Sildar, while our employee has been kidnapped by ooc: name of the spider and treated into a castle ooc: name of it
do you happen to know any of this names?
and secondly, who knew about your expedition? Who was in charge or partecipated in it? I mean, who were you expecting?
for both questions he looks at the woman for any body gesture that would tell different from her words
Linene looks at Stonegrin and then at the battleaxe, then at Stonegrin again. "Ten gold (10gp) for the Battleaxe. You seem like the adventuring type. If you do end up looking for trouble, search no further than the Sleeping Giant Tap House. Even if you're not looking for it, they'll seek you out eventually. There's not a person or Business they're not trying to muscle in on. All except for the Phandalin Miner's Exchange, that is." She completes the Transaction, if you agree to the price.
She then addresses Meleager. "When My order never came, I just figured it had gotten intercepted by the Redbrands here in town. I had no Idea about the Cragmaws or the Klargs or the Black Spiders. I've done about everything I can to refuse doing business with them. They tend to stay close to that side of town, since they're holed up at the old Tresendar Manor, but that won't stop them. It never has."
Stonegrin nodded and handed her back the gold she had just gave him, "Do you know where she came from?" he said he admired the axe, "I was told there are no smithies in town"
"The Lionshields have a network of business relationships throughout Faerûn. They send me what I need to keep stocked, and I pay them in kind for the shipments.” She replies to Stonegrin.
“There was a blacksmith. But he was run out of town by the Redbrands. After they stole all his wares, they threatened to kill him if he didn’t make more. He put up with it for a while, but when they started bringing Bugbears into town, he fled, like a thief in the night. Some people just don’t have the stomach to run a business."
"We keep hearing 'bout these redbrands, sound like a bunch of cowards scarin good folk." Stonegrin slides his new axe into a position at his side and turns to the groups, his eyes narrow. "Who wants to go pick a fight and liberate a town with me lads?"
Meleager is troubled: he was reknown in his little town but this is another matter entirely... he says
but, pardon, tell us more about these red brands: who lead them? How many are they? Do they have a placing town where they gather or some special friends who help them? It is difficult to think they are so well spread otherwise...
talking just with the companions:
mitsu’s doubt are legal but consider that This is the second person that implies that if the markets restart we will be awarded. Then personally I think I must protect the ones who cannot protect themselves, and I am sick and tired of these brainless rogues, but I understand someone else would not feel the same.
in a nutshell, let’s do a rrecko and then we can see what we are talking
Ooc: sorry: recognition, recce, reconnaissance, dunno the right word in English
OOC: I think you mean "recon," or yeah, "reconnaissance.." I knew what you meant, I just had Mitsu say that because Common isn't his first language (or his best). :)
“I couldn’t say how many of them there are now. But they usually travel in groups of four or five. Every so often theyll even have a bugbear with them...that’s when you know they really want to rough someone up. That’s really all I know about them, I don’t want to know anything more than I need. And I know they’re trouble" Linene replies.
“As long as you start plotting, you’ll have to do it somewhere else. if they come around asking questions, the less I know, the better!” She begins to usher you toward the door.

Mitsu gulps, smiling nervously.
And that's all I have to say about that.

"That will be...danger-ouse! Why do we do that?"
And that's all I have to say about that.

Mitsu's frown deepens.
"I guess if we are, ah, 'awarded,'" he says slowly.
"Okay. But what is "recko?"
And that's all I have to say about that.
Ooc: sorry: recognition, recce, reconnaissance, dunno the right word in English , I meant to search to understand how many are these red bands etc etc
And that's all I have to say about that.

Zuix smiles looking around the shop. With a quick chant he cast detect magic to see if Any thing glows.
Mitsu nods to the lady as he walks out of the shop.
And that's all I have to say about that.
