"you all know your way, it might be better for me to go and get the council together forewarn them of some things before you all deliver the news" Serafina says as the group makes a stop, she then forges ahead and out of sight, headed toward the mount.
Griff, interested in the potions shop follows Sam along to offer translation.
Vin has been fairly withdrawn during the morning trek, much quieter than normal for him. However, when Sam mentions going back to the potion shop, his ears prick up. He was still unhappy with the fact potions here last such a short time.
"If you want to purchase potions, perhaps asking Hog to send through some items of wood might be a good idea. It seemed to be very good currency last time, and I just had a few extra torches and things lying about. Anything that they can't get here would do in fact", he says looking to Griff. "You've been to our plane, anything you think we could get sent across that would that be worth a lot here?".
Griff thinks for a moment, "my first thoughts are being kinds of food, there is no bacon here, I enjoyed bacon when I was being in your realm, but more practically fruits, or fruit seeds, you have strange fruits and I think farmers would be liking to try growing them in our moss fields"
Elthana is surprised but pleased as the owl chooses her shoulder from time to time. The fact that it makes Sam scowl.. she enjoys it that much more. Otherwise she worries about what is to come, the conversations that need to be held and people that need to be convinced. She also wonders how they will make it home.
As they come to the clerical house and the potion shop, Elthana doesn't feel a pull to either. Instead she takes a seat and writes to Hog to request these items even though she hasn't heard back from her last letter.
"I didn't, I was in the potion shop when the others went in there. And I have a little bone to pick with the shop keeper", Vin replies, glancing at Gewyn when mentioning picking bones.
"But don't worry, I won't make a scene. I guess he probably didn't know potions work for longer where we come from. The alternative is he watered them down or something. Anyway, I thought we were going to see the good witch for your issue? The one that helped Hector".
Muir smiles and gets in close to Gewyn "You see in here is a history of the Raven Queen amongst other nuggets of wisdom that could help us in our endeavors. You being a student of the Shadow Realms and me being a student of the portals and learning the histories might learn quite a bit in here. I thought what better way to win favor is by you showing them the gifts bestowed upon you from the Raven Queen herself! My gift is less obvious than yours but you could how do bards say...razzzle dazzle them with your gift....what do you say?"
Having finished with her note to Hog and overhearing Muir, Elthana decides that she can't miss this. She gets up and walks over to join them.
But she stops halfway and changes course to intercept Sam and Vin, "Here." and she reaches into the Hog bag and hands them 10 peach seeds and 10 chili fruit seeds. She also gives them 2 large cutting boards. "There is more, but not sure what other things we'll have to barter for later."
Muir claps Gewyn on the back "That's the spirit! Looks like Elthana will be joining us....Shall we then?"Muir heads back inside after giving Gewyn and Elthana a smile
"Kidding! Kidding..." Sam laughs when Elthana balks at the sending of Kittens through the magic bag.
"mostly..." he whispers to himself.
"Sure, the good witch, sure," Sam nods and answers to Vin. "If Seraphina can convince them to. Assuming the Elders don't just see me as undead and try to take away my 'un' immediately... I suppose I'm not picky who removes the curse, so long as it gets removed, eh?"
Uh oh, Sam thinks when he spots Elthana change her course and head straight for him. What I do?? he wonders to himself, assuming he is in some sort of trouble. Instead he's given the gift of seeds... "That was quick," Sam notes, surprised. "Thanks!" Sam isn't sure exactly what he was expecting but peach and chili fruit will have to do. Though... if they don't know what these seeds are then they could be anything, right? SamSam seeds and Vincenzo seeds, perhaps? This could be fun!
"Oh, ok..." Sam says when also handed cutting boards. "Charcuterie? I mean some cheese samplings and such would have been nice too but sure... Thanks. To you and Hog..."
Sam then looks to Vin and shrugs. "Shall we go in?"
Getting into the raven house there is a small congregation of kobolds and dragonborn who are clearing up after a sermon, some are giving offerings in front of the small fountain that acts as the center piece to this long but narrow entrance hall, lined with benches, others are drinking of the water in the fountain whilst a small queue dwindles in front of an elderly kobold in black robes.
The kobold, known as Granngord to Muir, is offering blessings to these who need them, offering prayers for current struggles and those to come, though not a word is understood by the group as they enter, as everyone here seems to be speaking draconic.
(Since the majority of the group is in raven house we'll continue this here and take Sam and vin's potion shop shenanigans in their shared channel as to not confuse the thread here)
Muir walks in and looks around for Kiara the young child he and Elthana previously met. He sees a young child that looks like her "Kiara? Remember me? How could you forget...haha I assume not many Loxodons walk through these parts. These are my friends Gewyn and you, you met Elthana. Do you think you could introduce us to Granngord. Oh I forgot to show you my magic trick last time. Would you like to see? Of course you would" And with that Muir takes some water and forms it into a child that looks like Kiarra and makes it dance around before splatting it on Gewyn
Kiara does indeed recognise the massive loxodon and also Elthana, the young shadar-kai giggles as Muir makes the water dance and then unexpectedly drenched Gewyn, the majority of the water running off of the changeling's rubber lightning wear. "Of course I can introduce you" she replies in kind to Muir's elvish. But before she can summon the old cleric, he appears behind her, attracted to the commotion and the merriment.
Granngord opens his arms, palms up in a welcoming gesture and says something auran looking toward Muir, "he's welcoming you here!" Kiara chirps in, "saying sorry for being unable to help you last time and asking if your travels have helped you understand more of the isle and maybe what he's saying?" Though Muir's new skills and gifts do make understanding written language a breeze, his understanding in the spoken word of an unknown tongue is still somewhat lacking.
Elthana takes a seat on a nearby bench, amused a bit by Muir's antics and waves at the little girl. She waits quietly to see what is going to happen next.
Muir smiles and bows "Hello again. We did travel quite a bit. Met Lumithor himself and prayed at the Raven Queen's shrine. she bestowed upon us a few gifts...Mine is not very exciting. I can read every language, which is wonderful for me but not very showy. My friend's gift here is a bit of fun. I was hoping that I could read a bit about this realm's history or perhaps other books of lore he may have."

Muir pops back out and waves down Gewyn "Gewyn if you have a moment, I need a favor please"

"Ask him to send seeds!" Sam yells back to Elthana when he sees her sit down to write, assuming she is writing to Hog. "And maybe some kittens..."
"Place full of birds needs some kittens," Sam mutters to himself, amused.
"Vin, you go into the cleric building before?" Sam asks. "Think they could do anything about my little problem?"
"I didn't, I was in the potion shop when the others went in there. And I have a little bone to pick with the shop keeper", Vin replies, glancing at Gewyn when mentioning picking bones.

Elthana turns around and stares at Sam, "Kittens?!"
Gewyn winks and points at Vin, acknowledging the word play, and then jogs over to Muir. "Hey, what's up?"
Muir smiles and gets in close to Gewyn "You see in here is a history of the Raven Queen amongst other nuggets of wisdom that could help us in our endeavors. Then heads back over to the death house.
"Hmmm, yes I could perhaps do that. It would be good to know more, and I do so love to put on a show"
Muir claps Gewyn on the back "That's the spirit! Looks like Elthana will be joining us....Shall we then?" Muir heads back inside after giving Gewyn and Elthana a smile
