Sam pauses momentarily when Sol addresses him. "Controlling the spill... Yeah, what you think I been trying to do?" Sam retorts. "I say we be as careful not destroying the place as we were bringing her in alive, eh?" And with that, Sam wanders upstairs unless stopped.
Muir looks at Sol and then at Sam shaking his head. Muir says nothing knowing that Sam won't stop unless Sol stops him.
Muir takes the things that were on Mori's dead body and proceeds to the platform to turn off the bottling machines that are still running upstairs before Sam makes a mess of everything. He uses his thorn whip to wrap around the lever or valve and yank it off.
Vin smiles to Gewyn in thanks for his words but looks a little crestfallen, "Whatever it was she was about to do, it was powerful magic. And if she has access to that, I dread to think what Nivara herself can do".
He hears the banging from across the room and Muir's comment, but even if he was to do anything, Sol addresses the situation along with his own question first. Not that it has any effect on Sam. After Sol has turned off the valve, he watches to make sure the shower of mornlyf stops.
"Ok, you sort Sam out", he says to Sol as Sam continues wandering off upstairs, "And we'll sort out down here".
He then turns to Gewyn and Muir, "You can burn the puddles to make the mornlyf harmless, right Muir? Some of those handy flames of yours. I can then do a bit of magical cleanup, maybe with your help Gewyn?".
"Once the room is safe, we can open the vault, like Sol said. And see what we can do about the staff".
Neferox at this point is literally licking her wounds, content that for the moment at least, they are safe. She briefly looks across at Vin, as if appraising him anew.
From the platform he hears Vin make a few suggestions "Good idea Vin. As soon as I turn this off here and unlock that door we can burn off the rest of the mornlyf that remains on the floor."
ThornWhip to turn off machines 27 hit. Once the machine is off he will go unlock the door.
With the machines off, the whirr from the bottling machines above stops and the shower in the middle of the room begins to slow to a drip, the drains do most of the work clearing the floor assisted by vin and his uses of prestidigitation the room is made safe to traverse in no time.
Upstairs, before Sam can start doing any real damage the machines shut off. As sol trudges up the stairs he tries to get Sam's attention and points him in the direction of the vaulted hatch in the north west corner of the room, "you think you could tear that hatch up? That'll give us access to the storage from above, easier to destroy the stuff from afar rather than be in amongst it when it goes up right? That and I'm not sure how much weight the floor can take around those bottling machines"
"It seems to me destroying the stock pile of mornlyf is one task. But we need to destroy the materials as well, right? I mean, there must be a special ingredient or two that makes this thing so deadly", he says as he stands back and waits for Muir to open the vault.
"I guess that might be in the vault as well", he adds.
Sol trudges back down the stairs, "Sam headed up to the other rooms, I think he needs some time alone and it's not like we don't already need to send someone to fix the floor" he gestures above, and as he does a loud crack can be heard somewhere in the rooms far above. Sol sighs and massages his temples before looking around the room. "Clean! Good job all... If we get into this vault and survey what we can do from here, if it's a no go then there is a hatch in the room above that seems to open up above the storage vault, crane lifts crates of mornlyf down blah blah blah, it might be an idea to throw something in from above to cause the rest to go up, hmmm. We might need an accelerant or something.. open it up and we'll check it out."
"Sounds like a plan. I was just saying, what about the raw materials for making the mornlyf? We need to destroy them right, or stop them being mined or farmed or whatever, and shipped here?", Vin repeats now Sol is back. He is not surprised Sam has wandered off, and knows he can take care of himself.
"And what about our transport? Are you concerned about the birds and your contraption?", he says thoughtfully as Muir attempts to open the vault, feeling far more comfortable asking all his questions to Sol now, after they have risked death together.
Muir places the keystone into a recess next to the vault door and spirals of light begin to surround it, some kind of arcane lock releases and the heavy vault door clicks open and starts to slowly swing outward.
"My mind must have been caught up in the fight, I hadn't thought about the safety of our birds, and the spawn that must have met them on their way out. If they did not fly away to safety then they are likely dead, though that was a while ago now. We might have to solve that problem when we arrive at it. As far as the ingredients, I am not privacy to the knowledge of exactly how it is made, though we should search the rest of this building on our way out and destroy any stocks of ingredients." Sol says with a little hesitation (he's gonna roll insight on Vin, trying to figure out if these concerns are truly concerning vin or if vin is looking for an excuse to make sol leave, 21 insight)
Griff takes an interest in the platform Mori was standing on when the group arrived, searching through papers and looking at the machine controls up there.
Ömertyr seems more interested in the vault room, and looking in the group sees stacks of crates all filled with vials of mornlyf, hundreds of them organised along shelves with pulley systems above for the movement of the crates to a large set of double doors about 100ft away on the opposite wall where the deliveries likely go out. The walkway down the middle of these shelves is wide enough for ömertyr to comfortably pass through, but it seems that one big fire won't do. The crystal floors and ceilings and shelves are not flammable whatsoever and the distance between these odd crates is too great. Something needs to be done to make the burning of these vials easier.
Muir huffs looking at all the mornlyf being stored "Perhaps if we move some of these closer together it'll be easier to catch them on fire....Although, admittedly that will take too long, and we are on a bit of a time crunch with 800,000 undead roaming about the realm.....Sam is good at smashing and destroying.....things.....speaking of which was it wise to leave him alone upstairs? Are you certain he is not destroying what he was told not to destroy? Well that is not my concern....your mistake for leaving him alone I suppose. I could call upon a spectral beast to start breaking bottles and crates....it will take them a while but it will free us up to do other things....Any other ideas?"
"perhaps leaving him was a bad idea, but I do think these particular machines were the priority for saving to help war efforts... Spectral beasts have no vascular system right? Brilliant idea, I could also summon a spiritual weapon which could have the time we need to destroy it all. Vin, Gewyn, have you any non living helpers that could destroy a few crates?"
Ömertyr grunts not understanding what is being said but enters the room and grows to his usual size, he lifts down a crate from near the door and hurls it full force toward the opposite end of the store room where it falls to the floor and explodes in spectacular fashion. Before anyone has chance to stop him he does this several more times with all of the crates near to the door allowing people to walk in without being surrounded by the crates of poison. It's takes him all of a bout a minute and a half, but he clears the first ten feet of the room before looking at you all and giving a curious thumbs up and a shrug
"Alas, I can't summon anything useful for this scenario. I can however blast these things to smithereens for as long as we can remain here", Vin offers, thinking about Ted, Sarah and Maka and how shadow and cold would not be suitable.
"It would be a shame about the birds, I hope they are ok", he says as he sets himself to start destroying crates. He is genuinely concerned about the birds.
Unless anyone objects or has something they need to do immediately, he will begin blasting the crates furthest away, trying to push them into each other for added destructive value. The fact it is some extra training is not lost on him either.
(OOC: Using Eldritch Blast with repelling blast invocation)
Sol summons a spiritual weapon and sets it smashing, vin succeeds in shutting some of the top most crates off the shelves and into the nibble of the room where they smash to pieces and Muir's ambiguous beats begins running amok... "I'm not sure about fumes, but I am wary of the splashing. We should let our summons run their course and step back."
Just as the group step back beyond the bounds of the door and back into the production room, Griff calls over, "Muir I am having difficulty to be reading some of these notes, can you be helping? You are being book person yes?"
Sol shifts seemingly restless, "I should get us all healed up as soon as possible, we should call Sam back and I can cast a healing spell on the group... He went down during the fight and didn't seem to care, rushing headlong at Mori even after only minor healing... Does he regularly throw himself at enemies in such a risky fashion?"
Muir nods letting the others deal with Sam as he checks the dead body of Mori
Sam pauses momentarily when Sol addresses him. "Controlling the spill... Yeah, what you think I been trying to do?" Sam retorts. "I say we be as careful not destroying the place as we were bringing her in alive, eh?" And with that, Sam wanders upstairs unless stopped.

Satisfied that the machines are off Muir uses the key he found to unlock the door "Shall we then?"
“Sorry, orders were not to destroy the place,” Sam answers and wanders off to search the place…
"Ok", Vin replies to Muir.
"It seems to me destroying the stock pile of mornlyf is one task. But we need to destroy the materials as well, right? I mean, there must be a special ingredient or two that makes this thing so deadly", he says as he stands back and waits for Muir to open the vault.

Muir who is standing by the vault with the key tries the key as he says out loud to Sol "Oh a key...I found this on Mori"

Muir nods and summons a spectral beast and has it begin breaking crates "The fumes affect the living? Perhaps we should step outside the room if so"
