"It looks like the larger creatures are Stone Golems, and the smaller ones are Church Grim. I assume they have been summoned by Ö's sister to keep folk away, but they're not intrinsically evil or anything. They can also be re-summoned if this turns violent", Vin reports as they get closer.
He also sees a crypt entrance the creatures are protecting that has a wooden sign and no door. It seems to just lead to more expanse of dark stone wasteland.
"Maybe one of us can get closer to the wooden sign over there and see what it says?", he suggests, look across to Elthana, knowing her capabilities around shadows.
The Golems and Church Grims begin to move towards the doors in a protective gesture, "good idea Vin, but what do you all wanna do?" Ingram shouts up as he observes them, "they're moving together, we could pick them off from the air or if you wanna see if they'll let us through I'd recommend surrounding them just to be sure, take no risks!"
"I don't think violence is the way to get on his sister's good side....but then again who knows....I would prefer to parlay. Perhaps they speak some language that we can understand? My initial guess would be giant"
"If you think we should parlay, we may as well each try the languages we know, although these are summoned creatures and may lack the capacity to parlay", Vin replies to Muir. With that he swoops just a little lower, focuses, and calls out in common, "We are here to seek an audience with the Death Giant, Daudi. We are allies of the raven queen's Memento Mori aspect and have come with Daudi's brother Ömetyr".
He looks up to Ingram, "Feel free to translate into giant".
Vin swoops low and speaks, Ingram in turn speaks Giant, translating for the boy. Nothing seems to work but the grim do start barking and growling more aggressively as the broom swoops closer though not in range of them, and the golems seem to cock a head in understanding at the giant language. Muir thinking to try written language lands his roc upon a small cliff edge about 10ft above the area where the creatures have collected to guard the three crypts. A curious golem steps forward tossing a grim out of the way who dissipates into shadow and reappears elsewhere. The golem, who's head and shoulders reach up over the cliff edge looks at Muir's writing before rearing back and slamming out at Muir once with it's massive dark stone fist. (18 to hit, 21 bludgeoning damage) The golem then groans out a low grinding vibration that Muir feels through his very bones. (Wisdom save DC 17 or suffer the effects of the slow spell)
Ölertyr seems the ride turning toward fighting and lands to the south of where Muir stands, letting his pack down on another short rise where Neferox, Órga, Gewyn and Spyro can exit and join the fight.
Seeing the golum attack Muir removes the thought of the note and Elthana jumps down off the Roc and runs to be next to Muir. Unsheathing her new ki blade, she attacks the large creature.
Attack: 22, Damage: 10 Attack: 21, Damage: 9
She then uses her Shadow Step to teleport over to the door near Ingram.
Seeing Elthana attack the golum and knowing Sam would want him to, Orga jumps in to assist, bounding towards the same golum and tries to pounce on it and swipe with a claw, but he misses thinking about Sam and where the hell he was now. He lets out a little whimper.
Muir aggravated that his diplomacy didn’t work feels the heavy hammer of the golem. Even more irked then before he lets loose a blast of Druidic cosmic energy

the male roc hearing his mate shriek rushes to her aid attacking the golem if its alive or waiting for the next enemy to approach and then attack
In a feverous flurry Elthana sucessfully slices at the golem and promptly vanishes! Muir's guiding bolt also hits its mark loosing small stones from the area of impact, but the golem remains strong, the beak and claw attacks from the rocs feel like they should have done something as the massive beasts bare down with fury, but they seem to do no damage at all to the golem.
The northern most Grim darts toward the first Roc that leapt down to join the Golem on the plateau below and it bites out three times at the newly armoured bird, (17 to hit, 11 piercing. 25 to hit, 9 piercing, CRIT 26, 18 piercing) with some sucessful bites in there the Grim takes advantage of the dim light covering the entire isle and hides disappearing into the shadows. The second grim, having been pushed out of the way by the attacking Golem, instead runs down to Ömertyr seeing him as the biggest threat and does the same, biting down hard on the first attempt (12 piercing) but Ömertyr manages to evade the second and third strike as the Grim bites into air that swirls from where Ö's body should have been, the Grim then hides similar to its companion. The southern most Grim runs toward Gewyn, passing under Vin and Neferox hovering above, The grim gets to where the 10ft cliff edge is before blinking out of sight and reappearing a moment later right in front of Gewyn, mouth already open ready to clamp down on the unsuspecting bard, (16 to hit, 10 piercing. 19to hit, 11 piercing. 21 to hit, 14 piercing) The last Grim bolts toward the attacking golem, again blinking out of existence and reappearing directly behind Muir, though it does not attack, Instead it howls out a bloodcurdling howl which chills the blood of those around it, (both Rocs, Muir, and Orga must make DC 15 wisdom saves or become frightened of the Grim)
Ömertyr, enraged by the attack on him grows in size again beoming huge and he runs forward to attack the attacking Golem, planting himself in flanking with one of the Rocs, He summons his morningstar and slams down on the stone elemental with force, suceeding in both swings (34 magical piercing) but the Golem persists.
Vin shakes his head as everyone in the group takes the fight down to the level of their adversaries.
"These things look a little land locked. Surely engaging from the air would make most sense", he calls out to the others, even as he points Neferox towards the golem that attacked Muir.
Taking his own advice, he then gains a bit of altitude and moves to position himself across from the golem furthest away, and sends a pair of force bolts at it. He makes sure that each will push the golem away if it connects, hoping to keep it out of the fray.
Neferox heads towards the golem Vin indicated, staying high and trying to bite it in the face and knock it to the ground, before leaping up and away.

Gewyn winks as the Grim closes in. The Shadowfell Tome appears in his hand, and he licks a finger to turn the page, reading the top line. Then, just as the Grim lunges, he slams the book shut and disappears. Black mist is left behind, which is then scattered as Spyro lunges through to deliver a bite of its own at the Grim's throat (23 to hit, 4 fire damage) before his floral scales ruffle and he releases a puff of euphoric smoke (DC 11 Wisdom Save)
Vin feels his broom jerk up underneath him. Looking back will reveal Gewyn sitting behind him grinning... but upside down with his gravity inverted. Vin's first blast goes wide as bry'ze wobbles into the best position, but on his second strike the golem is shoved, exploding small stones from th area it was blasted, it seems Vin's practicing has paid off.
Neferox's first bite glances off the sone form of the Golem ,but as she gets leverage in the air she bits down with her second, Knocking the Golem on its ass and flying upward as it scrambles missing its opportunity to attack as she moves away. (8 on the save)
Gewyn disappears, mush to the surprise of the Grim who was attempting to attack him, It is even more surprised by the orangey floral faerie dragon biting its neck in the next moment, flames lick at its shadowy form before flickering out distorting slightly and then a breath weapon attack, it shakes off any attempt to control it (save 13) but as its attetion is solely on the dragonling it does not see the dagger which strikes hard passing into its form with a yelp.
The golem which is surrounded by the majority of the group, some frightened some not, gets back to its feet after Nef's attack and decides to strike out at Ömertyr, it slams twice and Ömertyr cannot do a thing as he gets rocked (for 54 magical bludgeoning damage), The cloud ginat yells something in giant at the Golem but to no avail, luckily the giant is made of strong stuff and doesn't yet look bloodied.
Not yet anyway as the second Golem moves behind Ömertyr, flanking the giant with the first Golem and also strikes out twice, slamming the giant (with another 35 magical bludgeoning) and Ömertyr bruised and broken, definitely looks bloodied.
The last Golem moves toward the eastern most Roc, concerned at its position being effected by vin's blasts, it seems the Roc is the only enemy it can reach, it slams out once, (17 to hit, 22 magical bludgeoning) and seeing its fist connect it strikes out again, (19 to hit, 16 magical bludgeoning) before it roars out, the vibrations of its low tone targeting the, now injured, Roc and causing it to feel groggy (DC 17 wis save or suffer the effects of the slow spell)
Ingram sees the Golems ganging up on Ömertyr and takes action, his griffon flies over the eastern most Golem and strikes out at the middle Golem, positioning Ingram in a flanking position as he stabs out with a lance, misplacing his balance and missing entirely (Nat 1!) feeling that its Rider is at risk of falling off, Ingram's griffon dashes to get Ingram out of the danger zone, instinct taking over it moves 80ft away as Ingram protests, It takes an attack of opportunity as it escapes, the golem slamming the griffon (22 magical bludgeoning)
Muir disengages and hops on the female roc who's injured. He instructs her and her mate to disengage and fly towards Elthana offering a ride if she chooses. If not they will fly into the sky waiting for their next turn.
Muir will use a bonus action to cast healing word on big O sending 15 back to him.

Muir would try every language he knows including written languages
Gewyn looks down at the creatures on the ground and gives a big smile and wave. Body language. The one language Muir was unlikely to try

Neferox, who had already exited the pack earlier, moves closer to Vin and takes up a protective stance.
