Vin listens to the exchange between Daudi and Gewyn, and clears his throat to gain attention.
"It goes a little further than that, in truth. Nivara did not just slay Vox Tontritor, she turned her into an undead slave. And she has already become a liche, and she is now trying to ascend to godhood, having been in league with Nectyran. If you are allied to the true god of death and care at all about this plane, Nivara is as big a threat to you as they come, Daudi", he says, augmenting Gewyn's account of what is going on.
"Oh, and I am Vincent, also at your service", he adds, mimicking Gewyn's formality with a more clumsy bow.
Daudi rolls her eyes and sighs, "you're telling me things I've known for centuries... And for centuries she has done nothing, the realm has not fallen apart, what has changed?"
As she speaks Ömertyr turns to spot her and begins his furious tirade back toward her. Daudi flicks a wrist at him as he gets halfway between the raised dias and the group and he stops, black shadowy tendrils wrapping around him and pulling him to the ground as he is grappled by his own shadow.
Vin's assertion of Dec maybe able to save Ingram has all of Elthana's attention for the moment and she continues to walk towards the ghost. "Ingram? Can you hear me? Are you alright?"
But she has an ear for the conversation... well, almost more of a speech than anything going on and as Daudi responds, Elthana finds her spine go rigid.
She turns from Ingram and steps out of the shadows so that Daudi can take a good look at her. "I've arrived, that's what has changed. Good to know you haven't been blinded from the truth."
Muir wait and listens. Nodding along with everyone’s assessment. “Nivara needs Elthana to become whole and regain all of her power….if that were to happen she may be unstoppable. Nivarra has tricked the djinn into creating an undead army for her. She has turned Vox into an undead phylactery or so we think. I am not totally sold on this idea as the only way to open it is with a lullaby only Elthana and Nivarra know. So We are here to help stop her, but we come here for help. We need to know how to undo her becoming a liche to make her mortal. I came upon a name that perhaps you could help with…..Does the name Lim mean anything to you?”
Vin's ears warm as his temper rises when he hears Daudi's dismissal of their news and that she was already aware of it all. How can she be so blasé about it? How can she have sat on this knowledge without telling anyone?
When Elthana speaks, followed by Muir, he simply stares at Daudi. They don't seem to share his anger at Daudi's inaction.
Daudi looks at Elthana, apparently not knowing what importance this little shadar-kai holds, but is made more interested by Muir's comments. "So Nivara isn't whole? I've never met the woman, but I've heard stories... Did you say Lim? What has he got to do with anything? He's not even in this realm." She sits down, her hunch bringing her to eye level with the group as she now resembles a pile of rags once more. The ghostly blue spectre by the dias only physically responds to Elthana's approach, stepping forward and reaching an arm out as the griffon follows dutifully and frustrated not knowing what to do.
Ömertyr yells and wriggles on the floor trying to escape but to no avail.
Muir continues “Elthana here was made by Nivarra before she came to these lands. The theory goes Elthana was supposed to wake up of Nivarra died but it seems when she became an undead it caused Elthana to wake up with a strong connection to Nivara…dreams, memories etc. As for Lim, yes I said Lim. I’m uncertain what Lim has to do with Nivara or lichdom or possibly the solution to defeating a lich….i was hoping you could help with that and fill in the details.”
"Lim is Vox's brother, one of the children of Jotunnam, but like I said he's not here, he's the realm of earth..." She drones as she looks mildly confused at Muir's statement. But returns to the previous notion, "Elthana here is key to Nivara's success? why not take Elthana out of the equation, nothing personal but you being here puts the realm at great risk"
"Are we really just going to ignore the fact that Daudi here knew for centuries what Nivara was up to and did nothing to prevent it, or warn the rest of the realm about it?", Vin blurts, finally frustrated enough with talk of Lim to interrupt.
"Why would you keep that to yourself?", he asks Daudi directly. "I mean, you are allied to Morris, Dec and Charon right? The three aspects of the Raven Queen. Against Nectyran and lichdom and what it represents? Why would you sit on that information and let Nivara's army and power grow? And now you almost kill your brother, and set your shadow pets on him, when he came here to ask for your help in a war that you should have been a part of for centuries!", he adds letting his temper get the better of him a little.
Daudi sighs, "from what I know he doesn't talk... And from what I can tell you don't listen. Lim is the realm of earth. Though I've heard it prophesied that one of his ilk will be some kind of resurrection of the primordial giants. See we..." She points to the writhing Ömertyr and to herself, "we were born cloud giants, children of vox, created by her to rule over the vast. But she also had a shine for elementals and so she created the djiini. They took rule and we were pushed to the wayside. The Fae had the fomarian, the hells have fire giants, but lim... Lim created no giants of his own all of that power of creation was put into the small folk that came from there, Goliath and such... But someone will come, the 'Mutually Assured'."
The death giant turns to vin staring through the boy, a look of frustration bubbling up In her. "I told the nearest djinn... Tell me, small one, have you ever been to Gojin? The news of the demise of their precious mother sent him insane. Would you have me do the same of every Djinn in the realm? And as for my brother, he can ******* fly! All of my defenses are a deterrent, none of them can fly and no-one can get here without the ability to do so. If you stay and die, that is upon your own head, I'll even tell you so after the fact. I couldn't go up to the thunder and deal with someone who could slay a god alone, and when I told someone they went insane, what else should I have done!? It takes more than one person to raise an army!"
Muir thinks of Sam and his indirect and non answers to his questions. Muir quietly hopes Sam goes to the earth realm like he suggested to find himself…what Daudi says confirms Muir’s suspicions…..he snaps out of it and refocuses his efforts “Indeed. Indeed…what could you do….Alas here we are asking for help….I am trying to find the connection between Lim and what’s happening in this world. You mention resurrection…can you tell me more of this?”
Elthana responds to Daudi with no issue of what she said, "If ending my life would ruin Nivara, I would have done it as soon as I knew about these things. Unfortunately, if I die, the fragment of a soul that I am will return to Nivara and she will be whole.
"Yes, that is all logical, but can you please release your brother? And we are here to hopefully add you to our growing list of allies to defeat her. We now have four other isles understanding the situation and getting ready to fight. The broken isles, Akiin, Shenoh and Duun."
Vin's jaw drops as Muir and Elthana both simply accept Daudi's rationale.
"Hold on a minute. Yes Ö could have been a bit smarter on the surface, but take some accountability for yourself, Daudi. You knew about this threat and told one person, then gave up and hid away from the realm behind killer guards. Was Gojin the only one who went insane that day? You could have done literally anything accept hide that knowledge away and it would have been better than what you did!".
"And you said you knew everything we mentioned centuries ago. Well, Nivara became a liche one century ago. If you knew that then you have been keeping abreast of her machinations. And yet still you hid away, said nothing. We hear you are a champion of the raven queen, we hoped you would be able to act when Morris, Dec and Charron can't. But you are paralysed by fear, or apathy, or something!", he berates, having not calmed down at all.
"Now is the time to step out of your self imposed exile and do your job!", he finishes.
Vin's point of the fact Daudi knew of this treachery before things got out of hand was not something Elthana had realized and looks pointedly at the death giant, curious how she was going to respond. Vin definitely had a point to everything he was saying, but other than this, Elthana figured it was done and they needed her on their side, not berate her.
Gewyn looks at Daudi intently. "More than one person to raise an army? Perhaps. Perhaps not. Maybe one person, given sufficient effort and determination could have pulled it off. But here before you are five. And that number has certainly proven to be sufficient. The army is already in the making. We are merely growing it's numbers. I've little interest in lingering here, however. We have little time, and other potential allies to call on. Would you like that we should be on our way?"
"killer guards? You are dramatic, my golems and grim being intruders to me unconscious, not dead... Ömertyr is currently fighting himself, the only way he can be released is if he stops struggling." She then calls something aggressively over to Ömertyr who grunts in frustration, as he is told that his own strength being used against him. He intentionally goes limp and the shadows withdraw.
Daudi's attention turns back to Vin, the hurt of old emotional wounds shows in her sunken eyes before she takes a breath and responds "my isolation and... Grief... was evident before Nivara even came to this realm. The deal I made and the curse I was given by the raven queen. It was during her war with nectyran. I've fought this fight before, last time It ended with a stalemate... The djiini know this, I think that's why Gojin reacted the way he did. Why he let his isle fall to ruin... But I don't know.."
Listening to Elthana and Gewyn's recounts she lazily returns to the Dias, passing by Ömertyr without a glance his way. "You've all been working hard then... Getting the other isles on side. But what have you got planned for defeating the lich? How do you want me to help?"
Vin listens to the exchange between Daudi and Gewyn, and clears his throat to gain attention.

Ignoring the Elthana comment for a moment “Were Lim and Vox close?”
"no."
Muir smiles patient as ever. Daudi clearly not knowing who she’s dealing with here. “What do you know of Lim? Is there a way to communicate with him?”
"Are we really just going to ignore the fact that Daudi here knew for centuries what Nivara was up to and did nothing to prevent it, or warn the rest of the realm about it?", Vin blurts, finally frustrated enough with talk of Lim to interrupt.
