"I'm ready to go whenever you need," Sam says in reply to Ginro talking about them needing more rest. He wasn't lying but he also still wasn't at top form either.
"Items?" he asks absently, not sure what the Djinn may be talking about. Perhaps the others requested some equipment or something? As Gewyn and Elthana are woken and join everyone else in the hallway Sam gives them each a bit of a nod hello. Once everyone is gathered he looks back to the Djinn. "What word of the fighting? Has the vampire plague reached here at all? Or is it isolated to Shenoh's location?"
As Neferox growls at Scooby the mastiff backs away a step or two but doesn't want to back down totally. Sam sighs, calls their name and pats his own leg a couple times. Scooby turns at the sound and then reluctantly trots over to Sam and sits atop his foot waiting for whatever is next.
As Elthana exits with Spyro around her shoulder, she rubs her bleary eyes and looks around, "What's going on, are we ready to move?" The dark circles that have formed since arriving on this realm and the nightmares that have occured since don't seem to have abated just yet.
"last I heard of the fighting, it has been contained to within two sectors of shenoh and under manageable control, the large numbers of soldiers working efficiently means that their numbers injured or passed has been well below expected parameters as of now it is only a matter of days before the undead upon shenoh is wiped out, but then the real task begins as her troops hunt for the nests of regenerating vampires. I have set researchers on the task of possibly finding a better way to locate the creatures. Such a large isle it would take too long to simply use spells..." Ginro stops himself as he feels himself falling once again into the pit of rambling and over explaining. Which merely serves to highlight how he has not divulged the way in which he claims to be able to half your required sleep time.
"As for the items I have them in a secure room. Would you like to see them first?" He casts a concerned glance at the state of Elthana as her appearance betrays the complaints of the quality of her sleep.
"I am interested in it all. The method of helping us get the rest in half the time, and the items you think might help us", Vin says with a yawn, trying to remain alert even though he is half asleep.
He never experienced much in the way of gift giving growing up, and this felt a bit like gift giving. And he didn't want to turn that away.
"well perhaps they can wait... Your curiosity is admirable young vin, but it seems your body is making the decision for you, your tiredness shows, as with Elthana.
The details of how, are... Not vastly important, Though we had to take into account calculations of perspective travel through time, based on spacial velocity. A theory based on another theory of why Thaeir's time passes faster than that of your own realm. It should be perfectly safe!" His grin becoming slightly more forced as he makes his statement.
Scooby's tail goes into overdrive as Elthana comes over and whacks her legs repeatedly in a happy-whiplash like fashion.
Sam is a little more reserved. He frown as he gets a look at Elthana up close. "Still no rest?" he asks even as she is whispering to him. Hearing her question Sam looks over at Ginro and takes a moment to size up the Djinn and assess just how much he trusts him or not. (Insight: 11) "Only two people I really trust for that," Sam answers back in a whisper. "And I didn't like him from the moment he opened his mouth... But I have no reason to actively distrust him. Yet."
Vin shrugs and waits for Ginro to get to the point regarding the sleep solution. He is too tired to catch the implication that it might not perfectly safe, but with Muir asking the question directly he does try to focus on any answer given.
Elthana shrugs to Sam's question, and then looks up to him. Her eyes are sunken, the bags under her eyes are almost purple and as she reaches up to brush a hair out of her face, her hand trembles a bit. "Nightmares again." is all she says.
Listening to the rest of his answer, she whispers, "Do you trust me?"
"Yeah. Nailed it, Sam,"Gewyn says, rubbing the sleep from eyes and then lacing his fingers together to stretch his arms overhead. "You have piqued my interest, Ginro."
Ginro sighs defeated, in his hamfisted attempt to hide the truth, "it's just... It has not been done before and requires you to leave the isle for some time... Though you won't technically be doing any travelling... I didn't want to put any unnecessary stress or worry on any of you by explaining, but if you do want to know the process I can summarise it for you if that's ok? I have a dimensional pocket plane that I can place people into... The effects on the passage of time in this pocket does not differ from Thaeir, but it does serve as a room for you all to sleep in. The theory on the movement of a creature or object through space having a perspective relation to its passage through time is a proven one and is calculable, I believe this is why time here moves faster, our perpetual state of falling means we move much faster than other planes... This basically means you can travel through time slower if you stop falling, and so that is what I'm going to do to you. Put you into this pocket plane and then stop the pocket plane from falling." He takes a deep breath and looks somewhat relieved as the smile stretches it's way back across his face.
"I did say two people," Sam answers Elthana quietly and puts a hand lightly on her back.
"Maybe your nightmares are contagious," he continues in a normal tone of voice. "Probably just the drink but I had a doozy myself..." Whether he was going to share more or not is unclear as Ginro starts giving his explanations of pockets and falling and time and all.
"But you're unsure if this stopping your pocket from falling stuff is safe or not?" Sam asks, trying to understand the hows and whys. (Intelligence Check: 14) "If you have all this magic and all wouldn't it be safer to just send us back home to sleep?" Sam thinks he has the basics of what is being suggested but it seems overly complicated to him. "Or... The teleportation thing. Can it send us to Akiin's land? There is a stable portal to home there. If we could easily get back and forth to that we could just step through to home, nap our hearts out, and come back..."
"Akiin's land may take a little time to teleport to, we currently have active sites on shenoh, Duun and here, the fact that the teleportation circles piggy back off of the arcane from the realm portal itself means there is a massive amount of interference that we have to sift through. We have tried sending both organic and inorganic matter to akiin but the reports from those who built the circle there say that nothing has arrived. We cannot locate where they are going.." Ginro gives a bit of an apologetic smile.
Muir scratches his chin and thinks for a brief moment before asking confused about the plane not falling “How will you prevent the falling? This plane of existence is where exactly?”
"Huh... Well why don't you test this pocket dimension thing and get back to us when you have some results?" Sam suggests. "Maybe put some fruits and vegetables with short shelf lives into the pocket dimension and try your no falling thing and see if they come back as spoiled as when you let them fall? Or, I don't know, maybe an hourglass even?"

Vin yawns and rubs his eyes. "Half is good", he replies to Ginro.
He then stands there swaying a little as he waits for more information. Neferox moves close to try and steady him.
Muir waits patiently for the rest of it from Ginro.

Elthana moves over next to Sam, and under her breath whispers, "Do you trust that Ginro has our best interests in mind?"

Muir raises what would be an eyebrow… “You say should…what harm could come to us?”
"It's safe a mouses, I'm sure," Sam assures even while casting a skeptical eye towards Ginro.
"Err, houses. Safe as houses. Yeah, that's the saying... Houses."
