Drexon is a little startled when he hears his name and sees the pouch sailing towards him just in time to catch it.
”All this talk of prophesies and high ranking folk is a little disconcerting”, he says as he looks in the pouch.
”What have we got ourselves caught up in now?”, he ponders.
He scans the contents of the pouch and shakes his head. “This is not the sort of thing that is useful to me. Just some paper and inks and components”.
He gently passes the pouch to Karm, “But I believe you might find it of use though”.
”That blonde fellow was definitely in Erdelun, trying to frame the Magisterium. But if the kids were taken to this port town, Saikan, do we have time to go back? The 14th was the date the wizard said, that’s what, 10 days from now? I guess we could get and get a carriage there”.
What a find he says as he pulls out the pearl. I lost mine on the way to Vortesso. And the rest will be usefull eventually. I've been hogging all the cool stuff as of now, lets talk about that in a tavern with a tankard of ale. Karm then turns towards the village leader and asks in a serious but respectfull tone, Would it be possible for me to spend 10 minutes with the jade? Supervised, obviously.
"I can appreciate the curiosity of youth," Garro says, "but unfortunately I cannot let you do it, supervised or not. Not with the people who wanted to steal it still outside the village."
"Return here when you're done dealing with the kidnapping," Hiden says as a compromise. He turns to Garro and shrugs. "They'll be returning here anyway if they want direction to the Village Hidden in the Mountain. We can let them have some supervised time with the jade then."
Garro nods both to Hiden and to you. "Then you will need this," Garro says as he pulls a small blade and gives it to one of you. The blade is palm-sized and decorated with many scribblings that are quite similar to the scribblings on the village's wall. "The very nature of the Hidden Villages is to guard the thirteen gemstones. As a result, the Hidden Villages tend to move after a couple of years or after an incident such as today's attempted theft. We never move far, but unpredictable enough to elude robbers and other threats to the village and gemstone. The blade will always move toward the direction of the village whenever you throw it. We are always in the northern side of Vortes and never farther than a week's journey from Erdelun."
"Then you better make haste," Garro says. "My people and I are not comfortable using this contraption, so we don't know a lot. We do know that it leaves Erdelun three times a day. Once in the morning at about 8, once at noon, and once in the evening just after sunset. From what we know, Saikan is a coastal city and the path leading to it is a marshland. From what we've seen, this vehicle only runs on packed and firm dirt. The closest it can go would be Mantagard."
"You may stay in the tower for the night if you want, but the riders will have to stay outside the village. However, if you want to leave immediately, Captain Garro will lead you back to the edge of Faete's Grove."
{{Dvark can be conscious if you want. At least one of the guys will at least attempt to wake you before going to the tower. If you want to put it to a roll, make a Constitution save. On a 10 or above, Dvark will be conscious for the meeting with Garro. On a fail, he will be unconscious for another hour.}}
"The sooner we get back to Erdelun, the sooner we can get that train. And the more time we have to look about the city for this Warhawk fellow. If we don't return, there is also the risk the ranger's will think us lost or worse and send a search party", Drexon says.
"But, if we need to rest?", he adds looking mainly to Dvark.
{{ He will look to Dvark whether conscious or unconscious, I assume Eremoz would have brought him along if not }}

"Then perhaps I can be of help if you want to leave immediately," Garro says. He moves toward Dvark and puts two fingers right on Dvark's chest. "Pardon me, but this requires a delicate touch." A shock of green electricity shoots from his two fingers into Dvark and Dvark jolts awake with a gasp.
{{Dvark, you heal 13.}}
"I wish you good luck on your search," Garro adds.
"Well, the sooner we head off the better. By the way, Dvark, we sort of made an agreement with the weird riders trying to kill us. We are sort of allies now", he adds to Dvark, trying into fill his friend in on what he missed.
Cob looks around at the hobgoblins and gives a slight bow as he gets ready to leave.
He comes over to Dvark as well.
"The hobgoblins seem to have a network of movable villages guarding a bunch of jade fragments, but we've got a lead on some crime boss that might be in a port or headed that way, some place called Saikan, not too far from Erdelun but we've got to get going if we're going to catch the train."
"ugh.. sounds like you had all the fun. Blast it! I had the knight on the ropes, but that horse got me after I took him down. Sounds like we have a direction. Ugh my apologies if I made things difficult." Dvark stretch groans again and joins the group.
You make your way back toward the gate of the village. Along the main thoroughfare, you can see places that you missed after dealing with the riders and rushing to the Leader Tower. There is a shop with bright red paint on the front and a glass window showing rows and rows of weapons. There is a dimly-lit quaint shop with the symbol of a pair of leaves. There are a couple of what seem to be restaurants and groceries. You can also see a wide building tucked a little bit away from the main thoroughfare with green painting and a wide glass window showing books and stationery.
As you arrive at the gate, you can see Captain Barro's patrol team keeping watch on the three riders who have built themselves a bonfire outside the village. Leander stands with the patrol team, watching the riders and brushing his strange-looking horse. You notice that Leander's raven has returned, perching itself on top of the horse's head once more.
"Message from First Ranger," Leander says when he sees you. "Notified him we will return late. The team following the trail west circled back and returned back to Erdelun. The team following the trail east circles to the Northern Trench Pass toward the coast before turning west to the Eveningshade Forest; that team also had returned back to Erdelun."
It is common knowledge that the Eveningshade Forest is a forest that covers most of the northern coast of Vortes from Vortes' Northern Border to the River Manta, a river about 2 days' walk east of Mantagard. It is a dense and dark forest that few dare to tread. The density of the forest is rumored to change the perception of space, sometimes causing a short journey through it to take twice as long. During your time, the Evershade wood from the Eveningshade Forest is one of the most expensive woods in the market due to its hardness, durability, and difficulty in harvesting. Most buildings in your time have used Evershade wood as part of the foundation together with steel, bricks, and concrete.
"After what we have learned it is not surprising the other groups found nothing, but is good they have returned safely. We should make haste and relay what we know", Drexon replies.
"I suggest these three walk and their mounts are led by others", he advises pointing a the wizard, hunter and knight. "I hope you aren't surprised that trust is still in short supply?", he says to the wizard.

Cob looks at the mounts and decides to fly up above to scout ahead for any trouble on their way back. He wants to keep as much distance as he can between himself and those tortured pegasuses.

Cob nods at Drex. He's been paying more attention to all the names.
"Saikan is probably the better bet," Cob says. "Do you think the trains run there?"
If no one else takes the small knife, Cob will take it and slip it into his pack for safe keeping.

Dont worry about that, Dvark. I think got something out of it. Mainly you back, but also information.
