You're led into the Inn. The windows are stained-glass and the wooden walls are cherrywood. Vines and leaves of orange, red, and yellow color hang from the walls. You also see the a piece of art depicting what could be an archfey.
As you stroll in, you notice a fairy woman cleaning glasses. "Good day, what can I get you?"

Merrick walks straight to the innkeeper, putting on a broad smile and addressing to her:
"Well, good day to you! We came from afar and would like to stay here. Do you have free rooms?"
He also can't help noticing the portrait. Merrick didn't really have business in Feywild in the past years, but maybe there's any chance recognizing person in the picture? In general, are there many other people in the inn?
(Sorry for being absent for a while, haven't received a notification somehow, will try to post more often.)
The woman crosses her arms as the other patrons perk up. "That's bold to be asking for free rooms. We charge 5 silver a room, a night. If you can't afford it, then we can work something out."
As she says this, an dark-skinned elven woman in dark leathers turns to her. "I'll cover their rooms Marion."
Marion chuckles. "You should be thanking Elvish Thunder over here. I'll grab your keys. How many rooms ya be needing?"

Io looks around and counts "one, two.. aahh.. 2 rooms should be enough! Also you have some fire to warm up?" Io turns to Lintra and Merrick "You two on one room i stay on the other?"
"Oh, I just meant vacant rooms." Merrick starts to speak, but falls silent as something unexpected happens. Why would this woman pay for the rooms? Does she need something from them or maybe she knows something about their task? Feels suspicious, but now probably isn't the right time for questions.
"I agree, 2 are alright, since there's not much of us." He replies to Io.
"Thank you! No, nothing else probably" Merrick looks at his companions to hear what they say, and then speaks in a quieter voice "So, I think now we can get down to the main task and search for information around here?"
"They probably didn't heard me no worries. I'm pretty sure i can hold on anyway" she thought "Nop, all good on this side. Let's go!" she said excitingly
How are they going to investigate further? Good question, because Merrick still haven't figured out, and just improvising probably won't work well now.
"Hmm, let's think of something... To be honest, I'm not so sure where to start, because we don't know even what exactly is the information we are looking for. I guess we could just randomly listen to conversations around here, in case we could overhear something useful, but this is probably not going to work. Well, worth trying if there are no other options left." Merrick stops talking and just looks somewhere ahead silently for a moment, his hace depicting intense thinking process.
"Oh, another idea. So, our goal is to learn more about these disappearances in the town, they are connected to Grolin, and we know about his business with the leprechaun. So maybe we can ask some guests here about where to find this Grolin, and if they get suspicious of why do we need it, we can pretend to be the leprechaun's accomplices wanting to compete the deal. And then, if we can find Grolin, we can try to keep an eye on his actions for a while to see if he does anything suspicious. What do you think?"
"hhmm.. that would raise too many questions. But you did gave me an idea something we can do that won't raise suspicions, ask the guards or some authority for the dissapearences, saying we had a dissapearence recently, wich is not a lie, even though we know what caused it and we managed it to get her back, it's still not a lie and we go from there, saying we are adventurers trying to solve this mystery, if that doesn't work, wich given my usual record won't, we go ask the guests, what do you both say?"
"Alright, I guess that's a good idea, since guards probably would be the first ones to know about disappearances, it's just could probably spare some time if we started asking here. Why don't we try both, for example first here and then go to the guards? We'll still need as much information as possible."
"Fire... There are supposed to be some light sources in the room, maybe we should try to keep closer to them? Okay then, let's start." Merrick looks around, observing all guests gathered here. Which of them may look like nobles? Who might know something about Grolin? Maybe the elvish woman who they've met earlier. If she's still here and doesn't seem to talk with anyone else, then he tries to approach her and speak.
"Hello, I wanted to thank you for helping us with rooms earlier. May I ask for your name? We'd be glad to help with something in return it needed." He continues after a slight pause. "Do you by any chance know a person named Von Grinner? Is it possible to find him somewhere in this city?"
The elven woman is still there and she acknowledges you with a nod. "I'm Ash and you don't need to pay me back. As for Von Grinner, I've heard that he lives in a large tent near the middle of the city. That's just what I've heard from in here. People seem to like him though. He claims he's some sort of psychic."

Io aproaches the fire and swallows it putting the room slightly darker and then quickly moved away from her "hideous" crime back to her friend to listen what the elven woman had said "That's what people think of him and what he says, but what do you think about him and about what he claims?"
Ash waits as a large pint of dark ale is brought to her and she takes a sip. "I've met many talented folks in my day who have psychic abilities but I believe he's faking it. Why are you looking for him?"

"We hope that he can... help us to find a missing person. We can only hope" Io finally began to feel better "But you think he's a fake then, interesting, well it's still worth a try, what you say?" she looks at Merrick
First kidnapping brides, then faking being a psychic - the more Merrick hears about Grolin, the less pleasant person he seems. Merrick freezes for a moment, trying to remember what is the missing person Io speaks about, but then he gets what she means and quickly catches up with the talk.
"Of course, it wouldn't hurt if we try anyway. Thank you for the information. So, shall we go then?"
