When Ludolf casts Detect Thoughts he hears, 'Thank the gods he's alive. I might have failed him but those strangers did what I couldn't.' The invisible being thought before realizing that he'd been seen. 'I apologize if I startled you. I-I guess I can show myself, although I had hoped that the young lord or Victor wouldn't have to see me like this.'
After a couple seconds near the damaged statue a tired looking man with long reddish brown hair tied up, dull green eyes and pale skin. He steps forwards and bows to the party.
Ludolf stares straight ahead at the man. “Thank you for making yourself seen. Who might you be? Xavword, do you know who this is?” Ludolf pulls out his notebook and makes a quick sketch like a mugshot, lingering over the title portion below the portrait.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The tired man glanced at the young lord and flashes him a small and barely noticeable smile. Xavword looks at Ludolf for a moment and then to the man before nodding slightly. "I know him, yeah. We were traveling together when that scaled bastard attacked us, I thought he had killed him though but maybe I was wrong." He says before the man runs a hand behind his neck and chuckles sheepishly.
"I just barely managed to hang on, although it wasn't pleasant having to claw my way out of the dirt. Ah... where are my manners? The name is Lyndon, Lyndon Lowclaw." The stranger introduces himself with a charming smile.
Eglar thinks upon the man's words "You clawed your way out of the grave?" Insight 10
Lyndon nods slightly and glanced down at one of his hands for a moment. "Sadly, yes. That Yostil fellow buried me thinking that I was dead, it wasn't exactly the most pleasant experience I've had but it's still better than... on second thought that was probably the worst thing I've experienced." A faint chuckle escapes him before he slowly moves closer to them.
Flutter hears the unusual discussion and looks intently at Lyndon, attempting to intuit if this is another undead in disguise from his social cues...
Insight: 14
{With a 14 Flutter doesn't notice anything that would point to Lyndon being an undead in disguise like Yostil. However if anyone was to hold up some that can cast a reflection then they'd notice that his reflection is rather hazy.}
Ludolf is listening to his thoughts as this happens, he backs away from Lyndon a bit, at least 15-20 feet, and holds his hand ready to cast a ball of energy if needed…

Eglar weary of the man splashes him with a few drops of holy water.
"If this hurts you stayaway, we don't want to fight you!"
Lyndon looks surprised when Eglar splashes him with holy water but he doesn't seem to take any damage from it. "It might not hurt but I think I will keep my distance for now. However if your ever between a rock and hard place take this. It was my father's and well I think it might be more useful to travelers like yourself."
As he says this he places a small bag down in front of him then he slowly begins to turn around. "I hope that you find some use for it."
Ludolf nods focusing on his thoughts as the holy water was splashed on him, takes one final read of Lyndon’s thoughts. When the bag is set down, his curiosity gets the best of him and he wanders over to it, opening it up. “Ehh, thank you. For your help.” He keeps one eye to him and looks down in the bag.

As you read his thoughts this is what you hear: 'They aren't wrong to suspect that I may be like that scaled undead fellow after what I told them. I honestly have no idea how I managed to survive that encounter but... it doesn't really matter right now. The only thing that matters is that the young lad is safe... he isn't in one piece but he's still alive so that's certainly a good thing.'
Lyndon nods his head slightly in response as he started walking away from the group. "You don't really need to thank me, I should be the one thanking all of you."
Inside of the bag there is about 15 gold pieces, 6 silver pieces and an amulet.
Moving silently at the rear of the party with his bow ready, Flutter keeps an eye out for any other threats that might be nearby as they exit the catacombs.

The divide up the gold and silver and Ludolf plans to examine the amulet when they have arrived to safety. As they are walking, Ludolf says to Eglar, “My suspicion is that he is a vampire as well, but he truly had good intentions for young Xavword. He gave me no information otherwise that was helpful. Let’s head to the surface. I think we need to talk to Sir Stoneclaw next..”
