Pier responds casually "Who knows? They might have amazing vineyards or more likely know the right suppliers. Nevertheless I believe they ll help us if we have something in return. A Favor perhaps? "
Lore's eyes narrow as he watches the interaction with the ghostly creature. "Well, that did not go as I expected," he says, staring after the apparition.
"If the price is wine, then I suggest we hire him. He should be able to keep the clientele in order." But if people start to go missing, it could get awkward.
"Are we almost done? Perhaps we should hire someone to manage the rebuild. It should only be a few gold a day." His gaze still fxed on the wall through which Lif departed, he adds, "Your friend should be able to keep an eye on them."
“Wait…we’re gona bring a ghost wine? How do we know he isn’t gona smash it like everything else?” Drux motions to the debris on the ground. “Seems a bit irrational to me. But Lore is right in the hiring of a manager. Sooner we get started on that, sooner we can get this place to a point where it is habitable. Maybe we just finish looking at the other rooms first?”
(We haven't checked the one private baths the Master Bedroom, on the third floor and the one Bedroom on the second floor. I suppose we could do a group check of perception and Investigation to finish exploring. Course if they are any monsters here I'm not sure.)
She says to Piers "What we've done in Undercliff, should be favor enough for some casks of fine wine."
She looks at Drux's practicality "If we're going to earn his trust, yes we'll bring wine for him to serve, in our bar."
She nodes to both Lore's and Drux's suggestions "Well lets get this done. There was a door in the den area I explored on the second floor. Lets do that one, But I suggest you guys follow my foot steps one at a time. The floor is kinda saggy."
Lore seems relieved that the others agree to hiring someone to manage the process. It might be more expensive, but he did not come here to work in an inn. The idea of having a settled base appeals to him; his lute in particular does not cope well with bad weather. He nods, ready to proceed to the last rooms.

A green flame surrounds Piers as he assumes a rat form and goes through the weakspot.he is looking around checking for anything seems weird or not (12 perception)
Piers goes trough the weakspot. he sees nothing interesting, except for some insects like cockroaches. however, he spots something shiny close to the wall. right below a group of cockroaches, he finds a small, silver ring with the initials A. P. engraved into it.
cathern opens the door, walking trough the hallway where she sees the painting of what seems like the orphanage children. there is a woman behind them, smiling. the dust, and the strange smile of the woman made the paiting a bit terrifying.
she opens the door of the bedroom. Two stained glass windows in this bedroom hint at its former beauty. An old tarnished chandelier dangles precariously from the ceiling and a four-post bed sits in the south-east corner. The bed has been stripped of its linen and mattress and only a bare frame remains. A small hearth decorates the eastern wall. Wall sconces are mounted on either side of the hearth and a small intact dresser sits beside the bed, though one of its two empty drawers is missing. Looking out the south window into Trollskull Alley reveals a lush greenhouse with tall frosted-glass windows close by.
Piers sniffs the small ring and then grabs it with his mouth. He goes back and once he ll find Cathern will climb on her shoulder showing the engraved ring

She jumps a little but smiles at Piers "You make a comely rat my friend. What have you been into?" she looks at the ring and marvels at it.
"Nice job you make a better rogue than me. I wonder who A.P. is?" She tucks away the ring for safe keeping "She stares at the painting only for a moment deciding to donate it to Force Grey cause frankly it gives her the creeps. But she looks it over more closely (I suppose with Piers help 23 perception)
"Well I think this room has the best view of the whole place"

While waiting on everyone Drux goes outside to take a look at the exterior of the property.
“Figure May as well see what we’re working with out here.”
(OOC honestly don’t recall if we looked at the exterior. Figured may as well see what the grounds hold and with the exterior condition of the building is in)
Cathern replies to Lore. "Not sure, I don't think Lifs name fits A.P. I guess we could go back to the Mermaid’s Arms and ask Pumphrey. Or ask Lif once we placate him. Or find out from the city records." She shakes her head."I'm starting to think this was the Hags room."
Realizing that she hasn't shared the information she has found out so far
To be fair to Lore (And maybe the New Piers) she whispers "This is what I've found out about the history of this house. Many years ago, Trollskull Manor was the site of an orphanage, run by a hag who took many of the children under her care as well as various unlucky runaways to her private demiplane for unspeakable horrors. She was ultimately unmasked by a group of brave orphans and killed by a collection of the children, neighbors and the Grey Hands, but her sanctum and many of the children were never found. About thirty years ago, the Manor was reopened as a successful tavern and inn. Lif was its proprietor and barkeep, the Teabrook siblings, Rey and Varko, performed and waited tables, and Cynog Pumphrey served as bouncer and handyman. Times were good for several years until one night when Lif stumbled into the demiplane and was murdered by the hag’s final atrocity, three undead children trapped there as guardians. Under suspicion from the City Watch, the remaining staff drifted away - the Teabrooks returned to their family in Lowhills, while Pumphrey is now working as a bouncer at The Mermaid’s Arms in the Dock Ward. Me and my friends visited The Mermaids Arms I showed him the doll and talked to Pumphrey. Who told us quote "Well then, unless you're new here, you'll know about the Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, the hag, who is probably still alive, is creating shoddy magic items, like that Talking Doll. Now, I have contacts with Force Grey, so if someone asks you to contact Vajra Safahr, accept the mission they give you, and you will be able to track down the hag." " We left on good terms. Then Piers was called to the Emerald Enclaves Manor, Phaulkonmere. Where he joined the Enclave and we did a mission for them in a farming town called Underhill. Stayed the night destroyed some undead scarecrows But we had to get Drux raised back at Phaulkonmere cause he wasn't so lucky.
Thankfully the Druids were kind enough to Raise Drux as part of our payment. Finally we made it back here just yesterday just getting the Keys from Volothamp Geddarm who earlier, gave us the Deed to this place for rescuing Floon Blagmaar but forgot to give us the keys
She returns to her usual voice
"So far the house has been giving us clues to its tragic past Like the Diary we just found and the book Drux found. Least I got to rescue my mentors son, Renear Neverember."
"No, but Lif might know who AP is," says Lore. He then listens to the tale from Cathern, nodding and smiling as the tale unfolds. At the end he shakes his head, "Hags are at the root of many evils. Their malice and sordid evils should not surprise me, but they do."
He draws a deep breath then nods, "Perhaps I was wrong about the house. Perhaps it is part of the larger picture. Further investigation may be warranted."
"Hmmm, That's a good point Lif." She turns to Piers. "lets see if we can get some fine wine from your Emerald Enclave Piers"

"Or I can assume the form of a rat.Not to mention that they can squeeze through small spaces. What do you say eh.EH?" says Pier enthusiastically
Cat smiles "Sure, you never cease to amaze me Piers" She goes upstairs enters the den pointing out the weakspots.

Been moving people on the map according to how they describe their movement. Left Drux Downstairs by his lonesome in a haunted house 👻
Cathern is currently checking the door and will use the key if needed

Lore continues with everyone else, still wary. "Perhaps the previous owners might know? Are they...ah...still...around?"
He shrugs, "Or your ghostly friend."
